Service sucks. Cross into Illinois goes out. Standing in its own store barely works. Says I'm able to upgrade then asks for 740 to upgrade. Got a watch for my wife. Literally had to go to Samsung cause they gave us the cold shoulder. (Wife switched to apple, only good thing) Try to get tickets of your phone at a concert-not happening. Been there for way too long.
Caught US Cellular charging reconnection fee on paid bill. Account was set up on paperless billing and auto pay. This has been re-occuring problem. BEWARE.
If you want to have a bill that is different every month, US Cellular is the company for you! Want a promotion for 50% off an Apple Watch? Great! We will bill you for it monthly and not apply the promotion so you are actually just paying the full price, and then when your bill is higher than it should be and your autopay cap maxes out, we will take away your autopay discounts and charge you late fees because your bill wasn't paid on time (because we over charged you). But if your still not convinced, give US Cellular a try if you LOVE calling customer service several times a year to talk to people who cannot help you and after about 40 minutes get a condescending manager who either talks in circles or straight up tries to gaslight you. If you're bored and want some drama in your life, US Cellular is the company for you!

I did cancel my service with U.S Cellular 6 months ago and they did send one last invoice which I was trying to pay. I did call to make the payment and they said they couldn't find my account because I had not account with them any more, and that I needed to go to the nearest store. So I went to the store and the guy said they couldn't find me either and I needed to call another phone number where they never answered. I got tire of this game and next thing I know they did reported me and now my credit score when from 773 to 639. Exactly when I want to buy a house! I am very very angry. I will make sure U.S Cellular gets some bad advertising. If a representative of U.S cellular can call me to fix this problem they can call me *******337
We have 10 phone lines for our business. We ordered 7 new iphone 15/15pro max Feb. 27,2024. We did not receive phones. Emailed business rep weeks later inquiring about phones and they mailed the order to the wrong address (they had the correct shipping address in email from us). They apologized, shipped out "correct" phones to us. Received phones. All phones were just iphone 15, where two of them were supposed to be iphone 15pro max. Also one of the iphone 15 was not working so we had to deal with customer service multiple times... Lots of work on our end. Then weeks later we finally bring up we need the two iphone 15pro max to business rep and his manager. They apologized and sent correct 15pro max to us. Set up one iphone15pro max - some issues took two days due to waiting on customer support to fix stuff but phone worked and all was transferred over.
Waited a week which is today, April 12th to transfer over from the iphone 15 to iphone15pro max for myself. Started around 8:40am est. Still at 4:50pm NOTHING. I had to cancel meeting, workout at gym, and lyme doctor appt bc had to deal with phone not working trying to get the iphone 15pro max activated. First us cellular rep (lady) said the phone order replacement was not done correctly and wasn't sure what to do. Thus, I reached out to the manager and not the bus rep. Manager trouble shooted with myself and office manager all day long. She had to cancel all her tasks for the day (didn't get to go do videoshoot of job site, didn't get to work at office for one minute today bc came to my house, didn't get to pick up payroll checks for employees bc with me all day.
After doing reset, hard rest per manager who sent photo to us how to do it - the NEW iphone 15 pro max would not work. We were very respectful and said we understood they were not trying to do this but at this point this is insane.
Then the manager upset me (which prompts this review) and texts over to my employee "you should just go to local apple store".
ARE you kidding me?! My husband had to cancel his meeting with architect to pick our kids up from school (I couldnt leave bc no phone and dealing with no service on either phone bc us cellular couldn't figure it out)...
So eight and half hours today - cumulatively 17 hours for myself and employee - WASTED!
So i started today off with a working iphone 15 (that I did not order or want but was working) and attempted to get iphone 15pro max working - only for us cellular to tell me i need to spend my weekend at apple store for hours (forget I have a family and life and plans) and troubleshoot a brand new phone - NOPE!
It is 4:56pm est and i have NO phone working. Have been waiting for an hour (manager is texting my husbands phone) saying customer service will text his phone once they can get service back to my original phone.
I am livid.
They need to hand deliver a iphone 15pro max, pay for my rate (which is $98/hour for full day), pay for my employees lost time full day, and pay for my husband and architects lost time.
I simply want what I ordered. An iphone 15pro max in green.
Oh - to top it off, the iphone 15 pro max was sent in black. I was not even going to complain about that - it is just a color. But at this point - I want a green iphone 15pro max like I ordered end of February. Please. Help.
OHHHH - they also were charging us for 14 phones! I had to login to our business account and realized they were charging us double. They promised they would not do that.
Well they drafted $1100 from our account yesterday - I was told a huge credit would be on our account in email over a week ago...

I have been with US Cellular for a while here in Hendersonville North Carolina and every month I have to go in and pay the bill so I set it up on automatic draft. 2 months ago or more. I got a bill yesterday said that I didn't pay so they charged me $25 extra. In January 17th I set it up with them again and it says the time to make the withdrawal was too short. Just how damn long does it take a month 2 months 3 months. They've had at least 60 days minimum. And they can't automatically withdraw yet. I've done this I don't know how many times and then they charge me $25 for non-payment they said it was my fault. They just took 25 more dollars out of my account if they are responsible for. When I give them permission and permission to do it over and over again and they still charge me a late fee or non-payment it's on them not on me,. They told me we're sorry that doesn't cut it when you're stealing out of my pocket. I set it up in Hendersonville North Carolina and again in Marion North Carolina and they still charged me $25. I would say two to three months is enough time for them to set it up. What does it take a year?
I contacted U.S. Cellular before ordering home internet service, they said they have great coverage in my area. I hooked up equipment and it never worked well from day 1, always skipped and said searching for signal... this location i had this service was a vacation home and i only visited a few times a year, every time i would contact them and they would try to fix, but never got me to the right place and it never worked. I paid them for over a year, they gave me 71.33 back and said i should feel lucky they allowed me to return the lousey equipment... go with a different option, i now have starlink and it works fantastic! Good luck and beware, don't pay for U.S. Cellular!
The month that I had us cellular, my phone consistently dropped calls and would not receive service in highly populated areas.
When I attempted to port my phone over to Verizon, the phone which I had from us cellular went into a locked status. When I called us cellular, they stated I would have to wait until I received my final bill in the mail and pay it before they would unlock my phone. Being that it was the beginning of my bill cycle, it will be longer than a month from the time that I ported my phone over to Verizon, that I receive my final bill. During this time, my I phone cannot receive or make calls.
I have ported phones over from other carriers in the past and have never had this issue.
I would not recommend using us cellular not only because of the bad cell reception, but also due to their restrictions which seem to penalize the user for switching to a different carrier.
I am a long time customer of U S Cellular. I bought the gadget guard screen protector from US Cellular at time of phone purchase. This summer i dropped my phone and broke the screen protector. Couldn't get a new one according to the US cellular store representative so i purchased a second one for another $43.00. Unfortunately i dropped y phone and broke the second one wthin a few days. So i go back to U S Cellular store thinking i get a new one. NOT HAPPENING!
I have to fill out the stuff online to get a replacement and that is ANOTHER $10.00
So i am waiting after paying the $10.00 and i go online to amazon and these same screen protectors are $12.50 each with free shipping.
SO U S CELLULAR YOU WILL NOT GET ME TO PURCHASE ANY OTHER DEVICE FROM YOU. YOU MADE OVER THREE TIMES THE MONEY AND MY REPLACEMENT WARRANTY REPLACEMENT COST WAS WITHIN $2.50 of the regular amazon price.
Folks don't buy the U S Cellular store products. Go to walmart or amazon. Way better price. I learned my lesson.

Bought a prepaid phone to use at home with my wi-fi for a kid so they could watch Netflix and things like that. Apparently when you buy a prepaid phone in cash from them they will lock ur phone and will not unlock it unless you buy a plan. So now I have phone I can't use or even access anything on it because they put a lock on it and will only remove it if I buy a prepaid plan
Purchased the US Cellular international calling plan for a trip to Latin America in December of 2023. Upon arrival in Latin America couldn't make calls or send texts. Spent two hours with US Cellular tech support the first night of the trip trying to resolve the issue, but they had no answers. As a result, the phone was useless during the entire trip, save taking a few pictures. Time to look for a new carrier.
We always go pay our bill when we get it. The agent in spruce pine nc denies we gave her our cash payment. Ive talked to her manager she's backing her agent up which i expected because then she looks bad. Talked to supervisor at us cellular customer service and get told there's nothing they will do about it and they tell me I'll have to make the payment AGAIN! Got told when we first got the phone our bill should be around 190 something its always over $250 and seems to double and last month triple that amount. If you have to use this company i suggest you go with prepaid because they will take you to the cleaners.
For anyone with questions and thinking about getting US Cellular's home hot spot, run! They do not explain anything to you properly. They give you 15 days to try it but don't tell you that it is not unlimited usage. So basically it works for 15 days but not at the end of the billing cycle. So mine stopped working after about day 20. Once I decided to take it back do to buffering and fuzzy screen they said I have to pay 350.00 to return it. Pulse they don't tell you there is a 35.00 restocking fee as well as a 30 activation fee! It's a complete scam to their customers.
I was told you get $10 off per line for autopay and paperless billing! Not true called in 3 months in a row got money off the bill like they fixed it! WRONG called in the third month wrong PIN number can't help you bs and not $10 off! Liars!
I was told I had to pay off my $400 WiFi router so I did and then called to cancel my whole account with them and they told me everything was fine and the billing period had ended the day prior so we were done with everything and they would cancel our account. Flash 2 weeks later and we got a bill for $37 so I called customer service and because I called the day of the first billing period I have to pay for the whole next month even though I had my WiFi unplugged since noon that day because another company came over and installed their router. They said they credited us some money for that month but we would have to pay the remaining balance. I said that wasn't fair that we used it for 5 hours on the first day just to pay for a whole month when it wasn't even plugged in. They said they could see on their end I had used it the entire month. It was put back into the box that same day because we got better WiFi. No y'all I didn't plug in to use y'all's crap WiFi all month when I got better WiFi that's dumb. How can you see it on your end when I haven't used it. Bull crap. I said there has to be a way to wave the fee because that's not fair and he said that there was nothing they could do it was just unfortunate circumstance. They literally only care about money and acted like they were doing me a favor by saving me $2 that month. If I could give this place a zero rating I would. I've had previous encounters before about them messing my bill up and no one helped but I let it go because mistakes happen but seriously you can't wave your stupid fee
My husband and I got new phones a couple of months ago. First, they reversed the lines and it took several phone calls to get that corrected. Now, I have a bill for a different account tied to my phone numbers. Chat and phone calls with customer service are still unresolved. I am waiting to hear from a supervisor. In the meantime they threaten to cut off service unless that second bill is paid. These are our only phones. To make matters worse, it is too late to cancel the new phones without penalty.
US Cellular has an international plan that is a joke. Didn't work at crucial times. Like GPS. When we left the airport in Germany, no GPS. We were stuck along the side of the road. Fortunately we had voice so my son, who lives in Germany, could guide us. But data would be dropped periodically. It couldn't be trusted. In fact the country we were in most of the time, Germany, was the worst.
