I hate that when paying my balance on my card I must tell the whole card number. With my Chase account I only have to give the last four digits. Also with Chase, it gives me the option to pay the total amount owed by pressing one key, but with US Bank I have to manually put in the exact whole amount. And it won't allow me to pay more than the amount. Because of this I will quit using my us bank card, and use my Chase card instead.

Probably THE WORST bank I have ever banked with. Terrible customer service. I opened a business checking account on line because they were offering a bonus for opening new accounts.(now I see why). From the beginning til now, 4 months later, I have had nothing but horrible customer service. Every time I have called, I have gotten different answers for the same question. Their employees are not trained well, Rude and unknowlegable. Will never bank with this institution again.

Please stay away from this bank, US BANK is the worst bank I have ever dealt with. I opened a business account less than 2 weeks and nothing but issues, I wire some money there and they put a hold on the account for closure, and they will hold my money for up to 120 days. This is hurting my business, and you have nobody to talk to, I called 3 times and customer service will not even pass it to the supervisor or manager.

Promised an enhanced and easy Mobile Deposit app, Found app is very prone to Holding Deposits, without prior notice, for a 7 day period, anything over $1000 go to the bank, if you must use this Bank that is under federal review as I heard. Customer Care is Bad 2 out of 5 customer reps are ok, keep calling 1 out of 5 were actually helpful

I wish I could give them zero stars. Been with them less than 6 months and I'm already running. My husband and I have had so many issues. Delayed checks, customer service unable to answer questions, the constant transferring to different dept. over the simplest questions. I could go off but I'll save you and say RUN!

Our deposited a third party check into my account now mind you I have the account for over a year and the check cleared everything was good and they froze my account they sent back my rent check even though I have the funds in the bank and are closing my account it said I can't have access to my money until March 16th what do I do who can I speak to they're horrible bank and I will never bank with them again

This $#*!ers they put a hold on my check every time. I just deposited $5000.00 and they put a hold for seven days. $#*! US bank, I'm closing my account the very next minute after I get MY MONEY.

After calling Cardmember Services 4 times, 4 days straight. I eas not in the mood for being lied to, spoken to in such a rude manner. Whatever the disrespectful twit name was I hope her behavior is heaped upon her 100 times more. I found her disgusting.

I waited for a half hour and never got seen. They had a lobby full of people waiting with only two people seeing customers. I had signed in along with half a dozen other people and some lady walks in, walks up without signing in and is seen right then and there. In addition they never check their sign in sheet they just sit around and talk and then tell you. You have to wait. They then proceed to take random people who don't sign in. Horrible service. I won't go back.

Purchased the car after lease with this bank. They proposed a ransom program that they called "loyalty" for some reason, it's when they add 20% to your car's value if you purchase through the other bank. And the loan rates they offered were much higher than any other bank. They are not US-wide and send a quote that is valid for 10 days with regular mail so it remains valid only for 2-3 days after you receive it, and you have to deliver a cashier's check back within the validity period. No option to pay electronically and they don't have branches in Texas but dare to provide leasing services through Texan dealerships.
This is the worst experience I ever had. I recommend to avoid this bank at all efforts.

Tip for consumers:
Don't recommend to ever use their leasing services.

Simply because of an one-time check returned for insufficient funds, without any withdraw, caused by another bank's mistake, U.S Bank knowingly violated the law Regulation CC and the Deposit Account Agreement to withhold all my money for 43 days, no matter how I begged it to stop or demanded the money; and sat back to watch me suffering extreme financial hardship because of its withholding money, emotional distress caused by the financial hardship, and physical sickness resulted from the emotional distress until the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau stepped in to stop its behavior.

I filed a lawsuit to seek damages. In order to cover up the bank's misconduct, U.S Bank's Vice President Ms. Jannette Duenas knowingly made false statements under oath. On December. 26,2019, Ms. Duenas filed an affidavit and swore under oath to make up a story that "someone had tried to fraudulently transfer funds into Plaintiff's checking account and U.S Bank put a hold on the account to investigate that potential fraud"; and on March 25,2022, during the trial, Ms. Duenas made up a different story that the bank put a hold on the account to investigate a "Check Kiting". The Illinois trial court found the perjury by U.S Bank's Vice President Ms. Jannette Duenas, ruled U.S Bank violated the law Regulation CC, and awarded the maximum civil penalty of $1000 (Case No. *******3640)

U.S Bank also violated the Illinois Personal Information Act to disseminate my sealed medical records to the public.

I have a 401K with US Bank that I am trying to roll over to another institution and its a nightmare. There was a problem with the system the day I went in to process the roll over to the other institution and it would not accept my password. The only way around this was to use the "forgot password" option. This has resulted in 4 days of submitting paperwork and jumping through hoops to get my password reset just to rollover my funds.
My advice to anyone using any of US Bank's systems try to avoid having to reset your passwords at any cost, its an exercise in aggravation.

Tip for consumers:
I don't fault the employees that I have talked to, they have all been very nice and helpful, its the ridiculous rules put into place that drive me crazy. If your system had worked correctly in the first place we would not be having this issue, but its your systems that are faulty that caused this problem and my blood pressure to rise.

I'm out of state for work and I contact my bank to add my wife to the account but Mary Beth was not patient to understand the reason of the call. I hate giving my bank one star but such people like Mary Beth had forced me to write this review.

My mortgage is with this bank and for over 10 years i paid every 2 weeks. Now they say i couldnt do tht and have late fees because they did not apply my payments. My fault i didn't look at the statements every month. I use bill pay and now for 2 month they are claiming it is NSF. How can bill pay be that. Thsy are full of crap. Nobody should use them.

I have never written a bad review or complaint in my life. I feel bad for writing this review because I know it doesn't speak for all of the customer service reps but I have called a couple times for different issues and am floored by how horribly they have done at helping me. On a couple occasions it took forever to get off hold, which I was kind of irritated about but I understand there can only be so many people to answer phone calls and these calls sometimes take forever. However, for one, the call quality is so horrible, I can rarely understand what they're saying because it is so muffled. Just today, I called because my card(focus card) declined 3 times, even though I had money in my account, and I had just used it like 3 hours prior. Also, I The lady answered and asked what she could help with. She was nice, but she clearly did not understand my issue. She asked me for my card info and my name, then I told her "My card declined at target and I have money in my account, I just used it earlier, and I got 3 alerts saying I spent 0 dollars at target and my balance was 0." Im not sure if I'm just dumb and that happens usually, it's never happened to me. But she proceeds to ignore my information and starts reading off my transactions, and I said yes to everything because those were my earlier transactions, then all she told me was that she thinks I should get a replacement card, then when I get it to call them back. Like what? And she didn't say anything about my card declining at target, I just wanted an explanation why it was not working, not just her to tell me to get a new card. Mind you I just got this new card yesterday. So I was clearly irritated about that. Then she said something I couldn't understand because of the call quality, and she said okay is there anything else I can help you with, I said no thanks bye. She ignored every question I asked about the declined transaction at target. I am just so confused how she literally did not help me at all.

Never do any banking with US Bank! Their customer service is terrible. It's been over a month and I still can't set up paperless statements or link an external account. I've called over 5 times and have spend over 5 hours on the phone.

I'm a US Bank customer for the last twenty years, but recently their customer service is awful. They don't care about their customers anymore, also never admit their mistakes and they are so arrogant. I'm thinking about closing the account if this going on in the future. At least few times in the last few months I had to call their customer service and bill payment department and they were interested to resolve my issue.

I've been trying for over a year to get my distribution from a CD and there is nothing but 7-11 teller machines in my area I would have to make an appointment and drive over 120 mile to see a banker in person. I've been through multiple rounds of phone tag where they end up sending more forms and never does my check arrive., just more forms and phony excuses. I would not recommend this bank to my worst enemy!

I opened a business account 3 weeks ago, they took my deposit but did not give me a debit card, checks or even account information for that matter. Customer service was useless, and told me that an order for my debit card was never put through even though I received an email saying otherwise. Time is money and I have lost $300 a day waiting on them. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

I regularly deposit large amounts into my checking account due to many home improvement projects. The money is from my investment account. This last time they held my deposit for 7 days + with no explanation. The check cleared my investment account and is now being held by US Bank without any recourse. This is so unfair. I cannot pay my bills, I definitely will close my account and find another bank once I have my money.

US bank suffers from poor management from the top—Andrew Cecere CEO all the way to its managers and tellers. In my experience US bank is not a good bank for businesses: their online checking absolutely is unreliable and their ACH system that they charge $48.95 for does NOT work. And US Bank insists if your business has problems with this paid for system that you are required to handle it through their 1-800 number which is completely a waste of time because they don't work either. Meanwhile the Bank Managers do Not step up. In my experience US Bank seems to specialize in serving (predatorial) on poor people and just milks them for overdraft fees. I even heard a Manager in Oregon brag about how a bus of migrants gets dropped off every week and he makes them all stand in a single line!

1)They are also guilty at least with me for automatically deducting unauthorized fees for services that I either cancelled, don't work or never authorized.I would recommend. I don't know about you but I find it hard to trust a bank that takes your money without authorization.
2) Their Customer Service is god awful and they solve no issues. Meanwhile their managers refer you to customer service 1-800 numbers so they have no responsibility.
3) Their Single Point pay system flat out doesn't work and they charge $48.95 a month which is not cancellable.
4) us bank refuses to refund monies that they fraudulently misappropriated through junk fees.

I encourage anyone having trouble with US Bank to immediately file an online complaint with CFPB the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. This gets their attention— go to consumer finance.gov and scroll down to "file a complaint". Also send an email to the CEO Andrew Cecere at *******@usbank.com— Andrew.cecere. Followed *******@usbank.com

Go to another bank!

I'm old school. Don't want to go online to check bank info. I would call and use the automative system. No problems. I could make sure that my transactions went through and that my balance matched their. Then they changed it. Said it was to improve the experience. It sucks. It doesn't work. Why in the world did you attempt to fix something that didn't need fixing. I have to speak to a person now or pay your bank for a statement. I think its time to open a bank account with someone else

Customer service stinks. Branch manager totally ineffective conveying information to the credit card division. Regional manager Mary Forest does not acknowledge or return phone calls. Dexter, Missouri branch manager would not give me access to safe deposit box so I had to do a 20-hour round trip a week later to gain access to MY OWN BOX by appointment. Bank ANYWHERE else.

My adopted son stole all my jewelry and opened an account with some of the proceeds. He opened the account online using my social in my name. After over 10 calls and a visit to the bank manager the account was finally closed. This took 2 years. When I sent the requested forms a month ago. I called again and the fraud person made absolutely no sense. They are obviously keeping the money. This is of course illegal. DONT USE THIS BANK.

I had over $1,000 of bogus charges put on my US Bank credit card, including some very obvious bogus charges (five charges at one restaurant in a single day!). And yet, after their "review" and "research", they gave me a credit of just $150! They don't protect you from fraud - they focus on nothing more than just getting paid. Can you imagine that they wouldn't cover any dollars stolen from your bank account? I absolutely could see them not covering what you lost! I would avoid this company at all cost - no credibility or integrity!
