UPS has a much better service. Drivers are professionally dressed, efficient, and have good attitudes. They don't slam packages and complain every waking moment.
I respect their hard working drivers and fast deliveries, however, when you have an issue with shipment - good luck getting someone to help! The robot on the phone is designed to end your call and not connect you to support. Their website information and the one from the robot differs greatly. The site shows the package being prepared for shipment while the robot tells you there is an issue and to file a claim. Which one is it?
UPS avoids my neighborhood until the last sets of deliveries. The driver drives around the my neighborhood, encircling it, until the we are what seems to be the last ones on the list. It never used to be this way over the last few years this has become the norm. Complaining doesn't help. I avoid UPS for receiving deliveries at all cost if possible. North Coram NY area.
A parcel leave from Vienna (21.12) to reach Rome (24.12 at 6am). Ok 24 25 26 holidays but 27th I was expecting the parcel but I will be delivered on 29.12 and also I changed my address to access point for easy pick up but when I phone customers service they told me the address havnt changed only the zip code has changed.online u cant even see your delivery address again. Please do an around trip of FedEx or gls may be you will get an idea of app and another things gow they functions well and great for customers convenience.
UPS has become less reliable than any other service. We live in a mobil home park and there is a map located at the entrance, yet these geniuses that couldn't find their own head unless it is attached continuously deliver to every other home except the one listed on the package. It is not the receivers job or the sender to do UPS's job of correctly delivering to the address listed. UPS, YOU STINK.
Pretty bad company. They say they attempted to deliver but the person was not available. They are lying as they don't contact you at the delivery time - no text, no calls, no doorbells.
I contacted customer service twice asking them to tell the delivery person to contact me on arrival. They said I will be notified but I didn't.
The third time they delivered the item on another floor inside my building which I wasn't aware of. I had to search for it when they marked the delivery as complete.
I never had many issues with UPS until I downloaded app, put in preferences, etc. Then it all went to hell. I never knew when or where my packages would go. They ignore preferences and send your packages to far away locations when you live a few blocks from another! No one knows what is going on, no one can help you, if you are incredibly lucky and finally speak to a human, the say they will fix it and some one will contact you "within an hour"… never happens.
Wrote with big letters on the box "FRAGILE, SPECIAL HANDLING ". Paid for special handling. The dishes arrived broken...
I live very close to the UPS hub in my area, with that in mind; it's one of the last stops on their route, they typically don't deliver my packages on the scheduled date because they're in too big a rush to get home. You can't get to a customer service rep very easy; and when you do they just repeat the same crap you already knew. Nothing but excuses from a poorly run company. It's probably run like Amazon, all the suits make the money and the people who actually make the wheel stay on are treated like replaceable pieces of crap.
I sent two parcels for France (where I live) to my mother in Quebec. I had several problems at the start (with UPS France… another story, long and painful. See image for travel history), and they finally arrived one full week after the shipment (guarantee 2 working days) and two different days. I was a bit annoyed to say the least. When they landed in Montreal, things changed. I called and had people who helped me right away. And I had two persons from the Customer Service who helped us speeding up the process and fully understood and acknowledged the problems we had. They even called me on my cell phone in France! Montreal Five Stars Service, it changed everything (warm thanks to S and T). France 1 point, Canada 10 points.
I'm disappointed that in the email saying it was shipped, it did not say anything about being here to sign for the package. I bought a vacuum... kind of ridiculous that I have to sign for that, so then it was delayed a day. I've been watching the tracking and it's going everywhere but my house. It's been in the neighboring towns and keeps moving further away. Then coming back, then moving away. Have no idea when it will be here. I wasn't a fan of customer service either. They told me the same thing that the automated voice said.
It seems that lately UPS has fallen way behind on getting deliveries correct and to the intended recipient. When you receive an email stating your package was left at the front door you expect to see something lying near your front door and with most houses having some type of security camera in stalled it's hard to see how there is no occurrence of a package drop off but yet still there is that infamous email from UPS saying the package has been delivered. Either the drivers are getting more incompetent or they are ripping off the customers and stealing the packages. Just something to think about! Where are our packages UPS?
I can't number the times UPS deliveries are late but that is not so bad; when they take a 27 lb package & deliver it across the street when my address is as legible as a 20/40 impared can read from across the street - that's just STUPID!
What's the solution - use FedEx whenever / wherever possible.
Never again will i purchase anything that will be shipped by ups! My package was said to be delivered by Dec 16 when the order was placed the 1st. On the fourth it was shipped. Today is the 20th! The runaround with the tracking # horrible. Come to find out they dump my package at some point at the USPS through a service called innovations. Haven't been able to track my package since. I'm so angry. I will give a bad review til my fingers fall off. You are trash. Customer service nonexistent. Do Not ship with ups!
Darin,
I bought a pair of ray bans on Dec 8th as a Christmas gift, it is January 19th and still don't have them. I tried contacting customer service after an hour of going through there non sense. They told me to file a report, which I did. It has now been 3 weeks since I have heard from them. At this point I think I just wasted 170$ and UPS will do nothing to help me. I had to contacted Ray bans directly and they answered within minutes. Hopefully this company along with others will be smart enough not to partner with them any longer. I have not been this upset in awhile. Thanks for wasting my money UPS and doing absolutely nothing about it, what a great company!

Well I was going to be using glasses but never even got them
I went to the local UPS store today to drop off an Amazon return. While I was in line, a woman who worked there yelled at me from the register (which was quite a ways away, due to social distancing) and asked, "DO YOU NEED A RECEIPT?" which made everyone turn and stare at me. I honestly didn't know what she meant. I figured it's her job to know whether I need a receipt, right? My mind tends to work slowly and stop altogether in overwhelming social situations. So she repeated her question twice, still yelling all the way from the register. I finally managed to say, "Amazon return."
She came up to me and explained that she wanted to get me through the line faster by simply taking my package, so I gave it to her, rolled my eyes, and got the freak out of there, humiliated.
Well, now, Amazon has no record of my return, and the merchandise was worth roughly $100. Did I tape the label on the wrong way? I don't know, because I never went through the line properly. I just essentially handed over my package and left without any proof that I'd delivered it. Nice.
UPS left a LIFE ALERT package ($200) electronic equipment outside on gravel under a roof but
Exposed to weather, rainy and cold out. The shed where it was left is 1/4 mile from our house. Most
Times they deliver to the house. WHY would the driver think this was an OK place to leave an item?
Dangerous, likely to have damage, not protected, on wet gravel.
Package arrived at the UPS warehouse 6 days ago in AM. It was expected to be delivered the same day. Then it was postponed for 3 days in a row until status shows "out on delivery" 3 days later
Went back to warehouse and since then sitting there with no indication to know when this will be delivered.
In the last few days, I called 3 times (spending about 45 min each times) to get someone on the phone. First they said it will be delivered on the day I called. Today I've been told it's unloaded from the truck and back in the warehouse. I wanted to complain but the person said there's nothing she can do.
Theyre pretty slow mentally and physically. They seem lost and the address is very straightforward. Idk if I'll ever get what I bought and paid for.
Tip for consumers:
Just dont use this company.

First I gave my tracking number then they said it was wrong so I asked to speak to a representative it told me to hang on that it would find someone available then it went straight to a survey which I went through with and then it hung up on me I was trying to figure out what was taking my package so long I feel very highly disrespected they need to fix that automated system
Ur absolutely pathetic getting my hopes up on packages. Y'all need get that $#*! off immediately cuz ur always wrong never correct times. Send my time back 5 hours again. $#*! ups
I did not received my package on time, it was my grandkids Christmas presents!.
It took for ever to delivered!. I'm so disappointed this ups
UPs, didn't leave my package at my door 2 times in a row after I had complained to them to leave my package but left 2 of my other package. I had to call them and they told me it's up to the UPs driver to leave it. WOW, that's dumb. It should be up to customer if they wanted to be signed or when I purchased it, it should have said I need to sign off to get my package. The company or the drive is DUMB AS ROCKS. The management needs to get off his butt and fix this issue.
Does anyone else have a problem with UPS deliveries not being delivered on time! I have received tracking information for three days that my package would be delivered today and of course it was not again! I saw out my window the UPS delivery truck pulled up to the end of my driveway, sat there about five minutes, the employee went into the back of the truck and came back to the drivers seat and drove away without leaving my package! This is very frustrating when you are expecting a package and you need that package and then it's not delivered on time! Why would they send me three days worth of tracking info and then not deliver!
Ups delivered me a $1000 cell phone to me at me rural house where I cant see the road they didnt drive up to the house they left it in the mail box last time I check us mail is the only thing allowed in the mail box! Good thing I was home and. Checked the tracking or I could have been owing AT&T money
For 3 days in a row the driver claimed he attempted to deliver my package, but never did. When I called ups all I was given was a run around with no real resolution. I have had many problems obtaining packages with ups in the past.
They never attempted to deliver my package, live in apartment complex with the outer lobby door locked on weekends but someone is always in lobby and they never saw UPS on Saturday 2/27 this is an on going problem fedx and amazon delivers with no problem will never use UPS again
