I was in contact with Renuka from University Living. Firstly, I was given an option for 3 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment which had a rent of $940. This was very well within my budget. And if I remember correctly, I had paid $300 as the convenience fee already. Later on, I got to know this is not available. There was a glitch on their website due to which it showed the availability of the apartment. Then I was offered an apartment which is for $1009. As a student, who doesn't even have a part-time job yet, my whole finance was shaken. I expected some compensation from their side since this wasn't even my fault but all I was told is we will move you to an economical one, once the lease ends. Secondly, before paying the convenience fee, I wasn't informed that I will have to pay a deposit/last month's fee along with the first month fee. I was told throughout that I only have to pay a month's rent in the beginning. Now that I was on my final stage of lease approval I got to know this. It was all very unfair.
And even after reaching I didn't get the apartment for 4 hours. I was told this wasn't their fault. The apartment people delayed it. Okay, accepted. But once I got the apartment, I got to know that the 2BHK apartment will be shared between 4 people. And Renuka never told me this. Me, paying $1009, for a sharing room is just ridiculous. And I conveyed this message to Renuka and Nishant (the person who asked for my feedback), but they never replied back to me and left me on seen.
I WOULD ADVISE PEOPLE NOT TO BOOK ANYTHING THROUGH THIS AGENCY. THEY DON'T MAKE YOUR BOOKED PROCESS SIMPLE, THEY JUST MAKE IT MORE ANNOYING.
