They never fail with beautiful, original gifts. They also ship at amazing speed. Everyone except for maybe Amazon has issues shipping at holidays, people should take that into account. Amazing company!
I purchased a customized coaster set. It arrived and had a dark spot where the names of the couple were. I submitted photos and asked for a replacement. I have emails stating they would replace and then sent an email with an expected delivery date. That date has come and gone. When I called, the customer service agent was rude and said that now I am no longer getting a replacement. I have bought many items from them before but NEVER again.
I placed an order for 3 small jars of dips. The box was less than 1 foot in length. It came in a 5 foot box filled almost entirely with packing. I have not tried the dips, they are a gift so I cannot comment about those. The packing was so over the top that I had to write a review. My recycling can is full due to this ridiculous way of packaging.
Tip for consumers:
When the package came bigger than me I was so confused as to what it could be. When I opened it it was full of packing, a whole garbage can full and then at the bottom was the dips I ordered. I think someone was making a joke because no normal person would pack that item in that size box.

I purchased the 3 pack of dips and have not tried because it is a gift.
I ordered a birthday book...7 weeks ahead of when I needed it, to make sure there was plenty of time. I got a shipping notice 3 weeks later but the item never arrived. So I reached out to customer support, and got absolutely no response for three weeks. Eventually sorted it out (or so I thought) and they said they'd ship a replacement. I got a shipping notice. Ten days after that, customer support said they couldn't ship to a po box so please provide another address. (Obviously the shipping notice wasn't real, right?) I eventually received the item 99 days after ordering it. The birthday book is fun, but be aware they've shrunk down newspaper front pages to fit and the resulting print is very tiny. Have a magnifying glass handy if you actually want to read it. The other items I ordered arrived without any problem, and they were fine, though for the price I did have higher quality and uniqueness expectations.
Hi and thanks for posting! We'll be sure to pass your feedback along to our team as we're always looking for ways to improve as a company.
They are using wrong shipping company. 5 days and it still isn't to usps, it took 24 hrs to go from one facility to another that I could drive in 4 -6?

My mother has a metal allergy and it was hard to find one of these we liked and was at least 14 K gold. The fact that it closes was really nice and why I went with this over the other real gold one (plated). Wish you could by a wick that you could add your own oils to as my mom has dementia and Frankincense does seem to help her.
Hi Ben! Thank you for the feedback. We'd love to pass this information along to the maker. We will email you privately for more details.
Purchased as a gift what I thought was a pretty cool looking paperweight Paid $45. Had it sent directly to business colleague. When he sent me a photo thanking me, it looked nothing like what was advertised. I communicated my displeasure to the company and they're only response was that there was a disclaimer on the ad that each item was unique. They offered no refund. I couldn't send the item back because it had already been delivered as a gift to my business colleague. What was I to do ask for it back? Don't buy from this company
Update - after negative reviews online Uncommon Goods emailed and indicated it would provide full refund. It shouldn't have had to go that far but I am satisfied now.
HI Tim! I'm sorry to hear about this experience. SJ doesn't let us see enough information for us to be able to identify you or the order you placed, so please email me directly at jen@uncommongoods.com so I can look into this myself. I'm looking forward to hearing from you! - Jen
I contacted your customer service department to see if one of your newspaper books (birthday or baseball) could be made with the San Francisco Chronicle instead of the selections presented Unfortunately this was not the case. I think this is an area that uncommon goods should look into to broaden their base of customers.
That's a great idea, Marie! Thanks for sharing that with us!
