I purchased a customized coaster set. It arrived and had a dark spot where the names of the couple were. I submitted photos and asked for a replacement. I have emails stating they would replace and then sent an email with an expected delivery date. That date has come and gone. When I called, the customer service agent was rude and said that now I am no longer getting a replacement. I have bought many items from them before but NEVER again.

Just like the title says- its all cheap stuff...the same exact items you find on Ali Express, Wish, Temu, etc...imported in and sold at a big markup.The site is just better designed and NZ based.

Shipping very expensive and slow. Will not buy from again.I had to call to find out where my package was. I was suppose to get no later than Dec 6, but received on Dec 16

I ordered a customized cutting board and attempted to cancel my order within 5 minutes of making the order. (It took me that long to understand that I had to resort to an email) They informed me that I am unable to make a cancelation or an edit to my order and that I would be charged in full and the erroneous order delivered.
A true joke of a company. There are many better alternatives.

Received quality products. They messed up one of the orders and after a lengthy discussion we came to an acceptable resolution. (Product appeared already opened, poor packaging, missing part) After which they sent me this to confirm.TWO DAYS later they tell me yeah sorry, we aren't sending a replacement. This is after diending almost $500 with them. There are many companies to choose from - choose an honest one.

The company responded to this review. They stated I requested a replacement which wasn't even the case… The customer service rep is the one who suggested they send a replacement and I agreed. I also went back-and-forth with them all day long, and was repeatedly told they would not stand by that. I let them know My only recourse was to post a review warning others, and they seemed to be fine with that. But then I did post the review, and finally received the appropriate resolution, and even more than I was seeking as they not only refunded the price, but did send me a replacement. That is a more than generous and appropriate response to my issue. Apparently the people who see the reviews are different from the people you deal with When emailing customer service. The initial person I dealt with was also extremely nice and helpful and professional. It was so weird and unexpected to get another message. Two days later that they weren't going to follow through with the outcome from that initial phone call. In any event, I'm really glad they made things right because I have since received other products from that order and everything really is very nice and high-quality. Now, I would do business with this company again.

The tapas/ cheeseboard I ordered from Uncommon Goods, a company that says their merchandise is Made In America, arrived today labeled Made In China. The company cleverly adds a tiny removable label to disguise the provenance their goods.

Products used:
I reluctantly kept the item but will not use this business again. If I wanted items Made in China, I would order them much more cheaply from Amazon.

Thank you for posting, Rita. We do carry a large assortment of gifts that are made in America, but not all. In the story section of the item page, it is noted that the Compact Swivel Cheese & Tapas Board is made in China.

I ordered a product and a few days later the shipping cost somehow was cheaper than what i had paid, with the exact same estimated delivery date as my item still had not shipped. I asked for a price adjustment which they say was issued, however i did not receive the refund. They said i had to wait 5-10 business days. It has been a month and I still have not received the refund. I put in another live chat inquiry and they said they isseud the refund and would email me the confirmation. I have not received the email and i checked my spam mail as well. The person then left the chat before the issue was resolved. The amount may be small, but they are liars. Do not trust them.

I am giving them a 2 star instead of 0 because i did receive the item i ordered and was happy with it. I just wish the company itself had better customer service.

My wife ordered several gifts for Christmas in early December. They began arriving last week (late February).
To say it's poor customer service would be an understatement.

Be aware that they don't seem to be customer friendly

Spent quite a bit of money there for Christmas, but one item I could no longer click on. It became available again a few days later, but it was Christmas and New Years. I called to ask if they could still add it to my order so I wouldn't have to pay shipping charges AGAIN for an item I wanted but couldn't order and that shipping charges cost more than the item. They refused to make any exceptions. Will not buy from them again.

I ordered a custom picnic box' that had our family name burned Into the wood. When I read the instructions for the listing the family name, it said the artist would add the word THE and how we would Like to see our name pluralized. I expected that if the artist is adding the word THE before our name that he is also adding an s' to the family name. I was shocked when I received this $200 Wooden picnic Box with our name listed simply The' and the family name in singular form. It looks ridiculous. When I asked for the artist to please correct this mistake and add the s' they refused. Basically blaming me for the mistake. No one at the company ever thought to question this before it was to be burned into the wood. They could have called me or emailed me if they thought it looked strange to Put the name on that way. Now I am stuck with something I will obviously use in public and anyone with common' sense would know it looks silly. I guess they are uncommon goods with no common sense.' I'm very disappointed. Terrible customer service.

I ordered my package two weeks ago and the package was supposed to arrive yesterday when i sent them another mail to check on this they just responded saying that thats the delivery and to just replace it. To add to this Nora C which was the person answering to me sent me another exact copy when I sent another mail to check up and I still havent gotten a date for the delivery of my package as my tracking of package still says preparing for over a week and a half.

They are very slippery with their shipping. $9 for UPS which turns into the cheapest USPS service. 2 weeks to get a item. Greedy practice.

My daughter received a lip balm kit for her birthday. The instructions were missing from the kit. I spoke with customer service, they said they would email the instructions. 6 days later I check on the status of the email and it is supposedly "in cue" to be sent. An urgent request was being sent the customer service rep to have the email sent. 17 days after the "urgent" request was sent, I received the instructions via UPS. It sounds like customer service can talk all they want, but the company does not back them up.

$1.00 DONATION A SCAM, REJECTED DONATION & ORDER WAS ERASED, TRIED TO GO BACK ORDER AND COULD NOT GET OUT OF SCREEN. QUIT AND CAME BACK TO CATELOG. I've ordered from them 3 times. Once it was excellent - a custom made product - at it was fantastic. The second time was a jewelry item, and it was not as nice as was pictured. This last time, it was a candle being sent elsewhere for a birthday gift. It never arrived. I had to contact customer service a few times regarding to issue, and they said,"oh, it's out of stock!" Would have been nice if they had told me, two weeks before the birthday came and went. Then the refund I was supposed to get never arrived. After multiple follow ups with customer service, finally got the refund. Disaster. It's like they were just hoping I would forget so they could pocket the money... I won't be ordering from them again.

I was a seller of my work on Uncommongoods for over three years. Everything was good on the first two years. I added a new product to the one that was already selling and was doing okay. Then I wanted to add more options to that collection and after many attempts to contact the senior buyer I was working with, there was no communication or feedback on the emails I sent. Total communication breakdown. Uncommongoods also will try to squeeze your pricing very low to get into their print catalog (I had to discount 60% from retail to get in there) then when time comes to get paid, (they are very good at) unfortunately again, they will pay you at a 2% discount (to them) on what you already give them as discount on your products. Then for some reason my first product disappeared from their marketplace "product unavailable"... My second product was still there but running low after selling over 100 pieces over the holidays so I had to email them to warn about low inventory as I did several times in the past (that should not have been my job by the way...) again no answers from anyone. I decided to contact via email the junior buyer for my product type and finally got a reply saying my product were not going to be carried anymore because of slow sales... What? I just sold over 100 pieces a couple months ago... Slow sales? And no contacting me to tell me they were going to discontinue my products when I have made inventory just for Uncommongoods!. So you have it... Uncommongoods make themselves sound like a great company to work with (for their employees which might be the case) but they are not taking care of the ones that make the products that pay their bills, the artisans making their products. So as an artisan, I would say, stay away from the deceivingly good company that uncommomngoods is saying they are.

Ordering a unique game seemed a good idea and I didn't check reviews ahead of time. Item arrived on time, packaged well. Item was rather crudely made for the price - not to my American old lady standards, but I remember a time when standards for most things were higher so I've made allowances. In addition to some shoddy woodworking, small pieces, described in instructions, were missing so I decided to send it back. Phone personnel didn't understand, couldn't understand and seemed disinterested, dragging the process out. I sent an email saying, "... Never mind; I'll just keep the item; I have little hope that the replacement will be any better." Got no answer to my email. Had to pay to have UPS pick up return (I'm disabled, live alone and don't drive so can't "drop it off at UPS".). So in the future I will do without "unique" items and stick with Amazon which works hard to satisfy this customer.

Every time I try to checkout I receive an error in accepting my payment due to being flagged as "potentially fraudulent". I've used different cards, different computers, you name it. I give up, and you will not be getting a dime from me.

As I have seen there is more than one review here about their shipping times and systems.
I ordered express delivery (4 - 7 days).
I ordered on the 12th, and now on the 18th there is no tracking number, and the goods have not been shipped.
When I spoke to them they said I can expect anytime between 24th and 30th. Which is now between 14 and 18 days. I expect they do not ship express, but rather keep for themselves as extra profit.
The customer service is not actually customer service. Its more telling them telling you that "sorry its not our problem now." And "there is no way for us to help you" The customer has to now deal with shippers.

I loved the picture on your web site and bought the taco booties.
But... when I received them there was a big difference

Ordered a NY Times personalized book for my dad who turns 86 on july 5th. It is a book with his name on the cover with the 1st page of the Times from July 5th through the years. It was ordered the 1st week of June (and my cc was charged). We called this morning and were told to expect delivery around July 24th. (Originally, when ordered, the site stated it would be here the first week of July, I think the 6th, which I found a little unreasonable- a whole month- but not so far from his bday, so okay...
We asked if there was any way to expedite the order and were told we "are at the discretion of the artist". Artist? Really? Then they said $50+ for shipping could expedite it. I guess the"artist" would rush then... basically, it was the generalized response for all products and they were not at all about customer service. I thought of calling my cc to file a dispute but really want the book bc he would love it. Never again.

Terrible customer service. I order 2 things, one for a Christmas present and another item that was back-ordered until January, but I ordered it anyways for a January birthday present. I ordered the Christmas present with expedited shipping. Today I was supposed to get the shipment email for the item that was in stock, but instead the back-ordered item is being shipped. I started a chat with a Kelvin C. Who was nothing but rude from the beginning. His first response to me was that the IN STOCK item would be delivered on the 27th, even though I ordered it 10 days before WITH EXPRESS SHIPPING. I told him how I ordered the express shipping because I was guaranteed a delivery date before the 24th. His response was that my item was arriving before Christmas. I corrected him by copying and pasting his very first comment and reminding him that the 27th is AFTER Christmas. He apologized (for probably thinking I was a space-case), but then only offered me a refund on my shipping. Unfortunately, that really does me no good as now I need to get a new Christmas present. It makes no sense to me that items in stock are being shipped out after back-ordered items. We'll see if they even get the refund right. The site has great stuff, but I don't plan to return or recommend to others.

Uncommongoods has some great and unique gifts, but they have one huge problem: customer service. I had some questions about my order date and I called and emailed multiple times to get the information. I was told my order would arrive before Christmas, but later, in an email, I was told that my order would be later than Christmas. It seems like there is no commuication there, even though I provided my order number with every call and email. Several times when I called, the representative told me that they did not have the information I was looking for, but that they would have someone get back to me the next day. Not once did someone ever get back to me the next day and I always had to call again to follow up. The customer service aspect was very very frustrating.

So, go ahead and order if you don't have a time contraint and if you think you will have no questions about your order. But good luck if you have to deal with the hell of their customer service department!

I spent a lot of money on Christmas gifts which said were in stock when I ordered them, but they were NOT in stock and wouldnt arrive until several weeks after Christmas. I had to make 2 or 3 calls to can el and refund my order. Plus things tend to be quite expensive and really tiny.
