If I could give negative stars, I would!
January 24, 2025

They really need to come up with the ability to rate them with minus stars! This company, by far, has the absolute worst customer service I have ever gotten. Ever. In my entire life. The worst part is that I'm not even exaggerating! A salesman, Andrew Metoyer, contacted me to get my shop on Uber eats. I was excited cause we're in a small town and I was going to have the chance for delivery, which my customers have been asking for. I worked with him for a bit. We had two separate appointments set up that he never even bothered to show up for, but we finally got everything sorted out. I then found out that I could get Uber through my POS system, so I didn't need to work through him. I would still use Uber Eats but through my POS instead. I figured he'd be ok with that since I was still using Uber. I called him up and explained what was going on and he actually got mad at me! He explained to me in an angry tone that my restaurant would not show up as a featured restaurant unless I worked with him. I told him I was in a tiny little town and only needed delivery for them and that that was ok. He said that the whole purpose was to increase my sales and show up for people that don't know about me. I once again explained to him that I understood that, and I was ok with showing up when people searched for me. He finally got mad enough that he told me to just ship my equipment back and HE HUNG UP ON ME! I was shocked.
I started working with Uber and my POS to integrate. I somehow was signed up for the more expensive plan and I simply wanted to change that before I went live. I didn't need a plan that charged me 25%. I FINALLY – somehow – got someone on the phone. How, I'm not sure because I was never able to get there again. I explained to the agent that I just needed to change my plan. She told me that she would have to escalate it and that someone would get back to me in 24-48 hours. I was confused. All I needed was one simple change. Just change my plan. It should take just a moment and some clicks. But ok. I waited. I had explained to them in the chat that I only needed to change my membership from the middle tier plan to the first plan, the 15% charge instead of the 25% one. Someone wrote back on the chat Tuesday evening and said I'm happy to help. Please explain to me the issues you're having. I wrote back and explained, again, that I only needed a membership change. I never heard back from them again. Even after texting again each day. I waited until Friday afternoon at 4:00 pm when I finally had had enough. I decided to cancel. I went online to my account management and tried to remove my banking information. It was grayed out and wouldn't let me change it. I reached out via chat; this time I went through the payment option and they were quick to respond. I guess when they think they are getting business or money, they'll respond. I explained that I wanted to cancel my account, and I got the same song and dance. Someone will respond within 24 – 48 hours. I let them know that I am requesting to have my account cancelled and I expect that no charges will come through. Especially since I wasn't ever even able to go live. I am still waiting for a response.
I wouldn't ever, under any circumstance, even get started with them. Deliver yourself, hire delivery drivers (even if you have to pay more with your insurance), walk, don't deliver, do whatever you need to do without using this company.

Tip for consumers:

They are charging the customer way too much! customers that want delivery are paying, literally, twice as much. A $7 is over $14 with fees added.

Uber Eats plays games to avoid giving refunds
December 12, 2024

On December 6,2024 at approximately 6:40pm MT, I ordered Popeyes for a family dinner through the restaurant section of the Instacart app. Instacart partners with UberEats to offer the restaurant section. I ordered through the Instacart app, because I pay for an Instacart membership, (not an UberEats membership). But, when my order came on December 6,2024, the Spicy chicken sandwich was missing. I called Instacart (because, that's who's membership I have), for a resolution. They could have given me the sandwich (which is what I really wanted), given me a credit, or given me a refund. Instead, they passed it on to Uber. Since, December 6,2024, I have been calling Instacart and Uber, in reference to the missing chicken sandwich. Uber sent me an email asking for a receipt, on December 9,2024. The only receipt that I have, after that night, is in the Instacart app. I attempted to send a screenshot of that receipt by replying to that email and attaching the screenshot. Uber sent me an email saying "We received this email from a different email address than the one you initially used to contact us." So, I sent them a completely new email with the receipt attached. Uber sent me an email saying "We received this email from a different email address than the one you initially used to contact us." So, I called Instacart, they said that they have the receipt. But, there's nothing that they can do since, Uber took and fulfilled the order, and charged my card. So, I have to deal with Uber. I called Uber, and Uber asked again for my email; which the already had, since that's where the sent the initial email requesting the receipt. On the call to Uber on December 9,2024 they said that it must be a glitch and they were escalating the matter. Then when I called them on December 10,2024, and spoke to CJ (recording #*******A8F8F41), I was told that the matter was resolved and that I would receive the refund. Then I started getting emails saying that the matter was resolved. But, I still haven't received a refund or credit. So, I called Uber again at *******237, to see what was going on. I was told that I need to send them the receipt. I asked them "How, I keep emailing it. And you keep sending me emails saying "We received this email from a different email address than the one you initially used to contact us." Again they asked me what was my email address? This is absurd, they are playing email games over a spicy chicken sandwich, after I spent a total of $57.46. They know because I live in a rural area; they are the only game in town. So, there's nothing I can do; but, let them rob me. It's not much money; but, if they do that to a thousand people, it's a lot for them. And, they are so big they know there's nothing I can do,

STAY AWAY
May 22, 2024

I EMAILED/MESAGED UBER EATS ON MAY 19TH, 2024 WITH THE FOLLOWING MESSGAGE: I PLACED AN LCBO ORER TODAY, WAITIED OVER HALF AN HOUR, AND THE ORDER STILL SHOWED AS PROCESSING, BUT NEVER AS RECEIVED. I CALLED THE SCHOMBERG LCBO AS THEY ARE THE LOCATION THAT SHOWED UP ON MY UBER EATS MAP, THEY SAID THEY ARE NOT PART OF UBER EATS, THE DO NOT HAVE THE APP AND WOULD NOT PREPARE OR ACCEPT THE ORDER, SO I HAD TO CANCEL IT. WHY DO YOU SHOW LOCAIONS THAT ARE NOT PART OF UBER EATS AND WILL NOT ACCEPT UBER EATS ORDERS?

THE RESPONSE I GOT WAS THE FOLLOWING: Thank you for reaching out. I'm Pradeep, and I'm here to help you.

We're sorry to hear that your order was canceled. We understand your concern about the cancellation charges.

We've checked the details of your order, and found that the order was canceled after the restaurant had already accepted the order. Because of this, we are not able to refund your order from LCBO.

In the future, please do not cancel orders at the request of a Delivery Person or Restaurant / Store. If you receive such a request, contact support so that we can make sure you don't get charged.

Glad that I was given an opportunity to explain this further and clarify your concerns. Thank you for using the Uber Support.

I EMAILED THEM AGAIN: YOU'RE AN IDIOT, THAT WASN'T MY QUESTION, I WAS ALREADY REFUNDED YOU MORON

THEIR RESPONSE: Thanks for contacting Uber Support. I'm Har$#*!a from the support team.

I understand your concern about a recent charge from LCBO (******* Hwy 27).

I've checked your account and it appears that you weren't charged for this order. You can easily verify this by tapping the receipts icon at the bottom of your Uber app.

If you have problems with your delivery, feel free to rate and leave feedback for your delivery person or merchant in the app.

I THEN CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE ON MAY 21 TO GET AN ANSWER TO MY QUESTION AS I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO WAIT 45 MINUTES AFTER PLACING AN ORDER, THEN HAVE TO CALL THE STORE TO FIND OUT THEY WON'T HONOR THE ORDER. THEIR REPRESENTATIVES ARE SO RUDE! SHE SAID YOU'RE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT, THE CALL IS BEING RECORDED, AND WE'LL DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT, THEN SHE ENDED THE CALL... SEROUSLY THAT'S YOUR RESOLUTION? I'M DISGUSTED.

They like to steel your money with idiot answers and no explanation
January 21, 2024

I am a regular customer of Uber DoorDash and Skip the dishes the worst experience was with Uber and the worst thing is their customer service people they have one sentence to tell you and they repeated it like robots not humans so you feel like you are talking to a "wall" they are not even able to give an explanation you ask for a supervisor they tell you oh he is busy and he will call you later but you receive no call at all. I made a order on Uber eats from Made in India and I realized that I didn't mention the allergy and I cancelled right immediately even before accepting the order from the store and I made a new order but when I asked for refund of that order they are like oh it is not eligible for refund I said fine but give me an explanation please they said the store already prepared the order haha which was so funny because I work in restaurant I know how everything goes so I said do they prepare a whole order in less than one minute? Do they started preparing the order even before confirming it? They said this all what we have to tell you so I asked for supervisor 3 times all they said he will call you but no one called me. I called the store to ask them and the manager there said oh no we didn't prepare that order at all because it was cancelled immediately so I called Uber again to tell them but the agent said this time that we can't do the refund because you already reached the refund amount that you are allowed to haha that sooooo funny because that means you use Uber you loose your money they took it even if your order is mistaken or something is missing in your order even you don't receive the order at all. So you pay your own money but Uber they put for you a limit for refund once you reach that limit you will loose your money if you get a wrong order or a missing item on the order or if you dare cancelling an order like this they work in Uber Be AWAR please from Uber app and Uber costumer service the other apps are way more professional and safe personally I delete my account NOW because I don't want to get SCAMMED again

Trash company all the way around. Should be ashamed.
January 7, 2024

As a former Uber eats driver I can honestly say this company is total trash. Their average base pay to a driver is between 2.00 and 2.50 per delivery therefore we rely on tips to make a living. Many of us refuse to accept base pay deliveries. Since the majority of Uber customers either do not tip at all or grossly undertip they will never see an experienced driver accepting their deliveries, since we do not. To remedy this Uber hires new drivers continously and has a constant turn over of drivers who lack basic customer service skills or even enough common sense to place food to the side of the door that opens, rather than directly in front of the door. Due to the low pay no tip, low tip issue, many drivers feel justified in stealing the customers food rather than delivering it for 2.50. If you are a good tipper, be aware that Uber will piggy back a low tip or no tip order on to your order to be delivered by a driver. We have no idea until one hour after a delivery who the tipper is and who the non tipper and is in that stacked order. We also have no control over which order to deliver first. Also be aware that your driver will not know how much your tip is until one hour after the delivery had been completed, since Uber conceals the full amount of the tip when offering us a delivery. So if you are tipping well and feel you are not getting the service you deserve the above can be part of the reason. Missing items in your order could be caused by restaurant error or the driver stealing certain items from your order. Uber hires anyone breathing. Bicycles, scooters, cars with illegal temp plates will be bringing food to many of you, even in remote areas where scooters and bicycles are not practical. Many drivers sign up for bicycle to get around vehicle insurance issues or driver's license issues and then use a car to deliver. This car is not registered with Uber which means no proof of insurance has been submitted to Uber nor in many cases has a drivers license of tge person who is actually delivering your food. You have drivers with criminal records using bootleg driver accounts or accounts in a family members name to skirt the Uber screening process. Many drivers are weed heads who openly smoke on the job or worse. The average Uber pay out for a delivery is between 2.00 and 5.00. So ask yourself how much out of your way would you go for that amount of money? Thus reason many Uber drivers only provide curb service or simply leave the food in the apartment vestibule rather than bringing it to your apartment door. Uber eats nothing more than a pig trough for the terminally unemployed and the unemployable to line up at each day.

DO NOT USE UBER EATS! OR UBER AT ALL!
August 15, 2023

Last night we ordered from a restaurant. I'm not naming or blaming the restaurant because they had the food ready and in the driver's hand on time. Just wanted to get that out of the way. Uber eats is the problem here. This isn't the first time we have had problems with them, but last night they sent me a 50% off coupon and I said let's give it another shot. That was a mistake! I ordered at 5:15pm and the restaurant is only 3.4 miles away. 5:35pm the food was picked up and the app said my delivery person was on a bike which concerned me. The short trip is much longer on a bike, and a trip I wouldn't want to take personally. Also the time for delivery shot up to 6:10pm latest delivery time as they put it. We'll that came and went. I text the driver and they claim to not have my address which I promptly text her. Another few minutes pass and according to the app driver hasn't moved. Uber calls me around 645pm asking if it's ok to give the driver my address. WTF of course they would need an address to make a delivery, have these people lost their mind? I tell them just cancel and refund my money. They then tell me that's another department. Great so I hang up with them. By now it's 7pm we are hungry and no food according to app this delivery person is just sitting at the gas station, probably eating my food. So I get back on the app to get help finally find the correct combo of buttons to push and they cancel my order. They made sure to let me know i wouldn't be charged for canceling my order! Now this really pissed me off! First of all...if they miss that latest delivery time you are entitled to a full refund. Second trying to make out like they did me some kind of a favor canceling my order for free is BS. I reordered from the restaurant picked it up myself at 725pm and back at the house by 735pm. On top of that I ordered from the restaurant website and avoided all the fees and the food itself was cheaper by almost 5 bucks.

Tip for consumers:

I've had problems with uber eats several times. Each time I get one of the 50% off coupons and try it again it's the same crap each time. I'm starting to call it the uber eats diet plan.

Don't do it
August 10, 2023

I don't think it's a good indicator for a business (Jersey Mikes), when a customer (not me), orders UberEats and delivers to the wrong address (mine). As a result, I encountered very soggy and disgusting food the next morning on my deck (which clearly had been sitting there for about 12-15 hours). It was absolutely disgusting, I nearly vommitted.

I would think twice prior to allowing UberEats to handle my food. Your public image is forever tarnished and business has been lost due to UberEats failing to employ workers that can read and write.

I know, it's very difficult for anyone to read or write (sarcasm). The public education system has seriously gone down hill in the last 10-20 years. At the very least, could the UberEats driver not have matched the lines up on the receipt to my location and though, "oh, these lines (numbers) don't match, I must be at the wrong location."

Don't you worry, I will be posting this review to UberEats as well.

Warning - Uber drivers are unsafe and will return to your home to come inside after deliveries!
August 6, 2023

I don't use Uber because I have had issues previously with their Uber drivers, I know Uber don't care about anything but money.
My friend ordered Uber eats to my place on the weekend, and the driver delivered the food and then left, whether he actually left I am not sure about. 30 mins after the delivery was handed to me, the driver was back and buzzing my unit, I answered the intercom as i assuming he dropped something inside the complex and needed to come get it. He told me he needed to use the toilet and asked if I would let him use mine. I decided to do the right thing because Uber probably wouldn't care to ensure their drivers have bathroom access, they are reputable for being a poor employer and poor service, so I let him in to use my bathroom. When he came out of the bathroom, I expected he would than me and leave, but he wasn't leaving, he stayed near the door, looking around at my place. He seen my cat and started calling it over to which it ignored. Then he proceeded to ask me if I lived alone which made it clear he was not there because he needed to use the toilet. He couldn't see from where he was standing that I had a friend with me, but as soon as I told him another person was with me, he very quickly exited my unit without saying thanks or anything. This is extremely dodgy as he clearly didnt come to my home needing a bathroom, he either never left my complex and stayed for half an hour, or he left but then came back to target me because I am a young female and he thought i was alone. My friend contacted Uber via the app and told them what happened becuse we both felt very uncomfortable about what had happened, and Uber just sent a generic response to pretty much say sorry for the experience, and shut the conversation off. They are not looking into this incident and the driver can continue to try look for single women who live alone and try gain entry after deliveries. I already knew Uber would do nothing, it's typical Uber to not care.
I am wanting to warn everyone about using Uber that their drivers are untrustworthy and will try and target perople home alone and try gain access after the delivery is done. Do not trust Uber! They allow this to happen under their watch. Stay safe and avoid Uber, you cant trust your address with their drivers as you may be targeted. I have never had this issue with any other delivery app, it seems to be an issue with Ubers drivers, and probably because they let them get away with it and do nothing. I am now banning anybody from Using Uber at my home, apparently not using Uber myesf wasn't enough to avoid their problematic drivers.

Awful delivery service
July 29, 2023

Awful service, the first night i signed up to there Uber One service and received the worst service I've ever experienced from a food delivery company.
My first order was on it's way, the driver was 7min away then it went to 11min, then 12min then the driver cancelled it.
I called the restaurant who confirmed the driver had left ages ago with my order. I went through every help section sending messages, nowhere there to contact direct. Even tried googling, no number that would go through unless i wanted to pay £3.60 a minute. After half an hour looking, reordered and waited ages again. 2 or 3 drivers arrived at the restaurant and then cancelled. By the time the final driver arrived and delivered my food was 9.40pm and originally started my order at 6.25pm!
Never again, why can i contact DELIVEROO CUSTOMER SERVICES AND NOT YOURS?
SOMETHING TO HIDE?
