Overall, this website has allowed me to learn my topics at hand. As we all know, videos on YouTube go on to a certain point when helping us achieve the answers we need. I purchased a year plan for my son which cost me $600. Since they took my money, and then stop being available. The site always says maintenance in progress. I can't get anyone on the phone or on the email. DO NOT SIGN UP.

OK, so the tutors for some reason do spend too much time welcoming you to the site and making small talk, but they are knowledgeable, especially in beginner college physics.
They need to slow down a little on their fast handwriting and open their sessions a little earlier (when I was a member, you couldn't get a tutor until 2 p.m.). They do know how to help, which is the most important thing about their service.

So far, it hasn't been the most helpful of service. I'm currently in a multivariable calculus class, and the first few tutors I asked had no idea what they were doing. Thankfully they refunded my minutes, but I haven't been too trusting of them ever since. They do, however, provide quite a few discounts / coupons once you sign up which is nice of them.

I think that TuorVista is probably a good tutor service for those wanting to do Statistics by hand. They're good at helping with traditional Statistics questions. They are not well equipped for Statistics used in Excel, R Programming, and the more modern requirements.

I find the whiteboard tool helpful but not sufficient since there's no voice option, just chat. I did not give it higher than 3 because there's still some improvements that need to be done with regard to communicating the information more effectively and efficiently. It's not a classroom setting so quick and effective communication is vital.

Used TutorVista for over a few months now for high school Physics help. Prices are cheaper and more affordable than other online tutoring sites. Tutors are able to help you complete your homework assignments, though they are unable to help with more complex projects.

If you have purchased the audio subscription, you will have to usually initiate the audio call and request for them to pick it up as most tutors will not initiate an audio call.

The times I have used it (I lived in the US), I was always able to get a tutor to help me immediately within 5 minutes of clicking "Start Session Now"

One con is that hours you have not used do not transfer over once your current subscription is over, unless you purchase a subscription to buy more hours.

Customer Support is helpful, although some technical issues have not been solved yet at the time of the writing of this review, such as "Schedule a Session" leading to a broken whiteboard and chatbox.

If you buy audio tutoring, you must initiate the call because most tutors are lazy and will not initiate a voice call unless you do first.

Language barrier may be an issue. For deep understanding of a concept, it's better to use other sites. Use Tutorvista just for homework problem help. There are tutoring sites that are more expensive, but worth the cost.

Overall, TutorVista is an affordable site for homework help, but not for much more.

I have been using TutorVista for about two months. So, far I would rate this online tutoring average. Sometimes the tutor does not know how to solve the problem and if you tell them the answer key, and they got a different answer they will say "double check the answer with your teacher." Also, if you were already scheduled a session, the tutor did not show up. That happened to me more than three times. Overall, it is an ok online tutoring.

TutorVista was okay to use sometimes-I had a lot of trouble with math and certain tutors were good. I would save them to use them later, but I could never find them again.

I've had several separate experience with TutorVista. The first experience with TutorVista was back in 2009. It was a wonderful experience, the sales, tutors, and other staff members were wonderful.

Recently, I had two experiences with TutorVista. The first sales person I came across was rude, irritated with my questions, and told me TutorVista did not have an essay reviewing option. The last experience was with a Tutor for English. This person took forever to respond during sessions and my half my time was wasted waiting on the tutor to respond.

Would I recommended it? Maybe! If you don't have anyone locally that can assist you, maybe consider it, but if you find a good tutor on tutorvista.com, flag them so you can schedule with that person. JUS491

I had tutors with tutorvista. Online teaching is good idea, but I personally wan't happy at all. Unfortunattly they were killing time a lot. For instance, if I had live tutor They could cover a lots of subject, but compare to olnine tutoring they didn't even cover half subject in same time limit. It was my big chalange to discontinue vith tutor vista.

Takes a while to figure out everything. Ineffecient process to block tutors which is inconvenient because sometimes you keep getting the same tutors who are ineffective. Pretty helpful resource overall though

I had a great tutor that I always booked with, but it was very frustrating with a lot of other tutors. A lot of times I would book an appoint ahead of time and get paired with a tutor who was not college-level. Adding more college tutors would help. Ked719

Hours aren't the best if you live on the east coast in U.S. The tutors are knowledgeable and do their best given the resources available.

Unlimited is actually 30 hours ("oh but you can do as many partial sessions as you want until you hit 30 hours, so that is why it is unlimited".) That was their excuse. The tutors are extremely slow. Often times they would check out for five minutes at a time. Also, half the questions I had, they actually got wrong. This happened over ten times. They will also allow you to schedule a session, only to not honor the scheduling and tell you to check back later. Overall, I'd say that if you can find a few good tutors on there, keep requesting them and you will be fine. Some of them are very helpful

Sometimes tutors give you incorrect answers to questions. Sometimes they just dont understand your question and you have to wait an hour to have a higher grade tutor to help you. The price are okay. The tutors sometimes are mean to you even if you didnt do anything. Some tutors are friendly though. I have been with this company for half of a year, and I learned a few concepts. Tutors also rush to end the session if you have not responded within two minutes. They also go too fast occasionally and when you ask a question, they never answer it directly. If you are looking for an averaged price tutoring location with mediocre service, this is the place to go. Unique Code: jam590

The tutors took a long time to load as well as to figure out my problem. Sometimes they couldn't figure it out or gave me the wrong answer. The good tutors though were supurb so I was sure to save them; however, usually I never recieved the same tutors twice. Hha531

It was ok in the beginning but as my assignments got more complicated I could not get expert answers to my questions. Used up minutes waiting on responses and I felt like I had to do too much explaining to the tutor.

I would say that TutorVista was helpful, but needs improvement. I found that some of the tutors were unable to help me solve certain problems and almost all of the tutors were very slow in responding. Because the tutors were so slow, I felt that it was a waste of money in comparison to a in-person meeting, which would cover much more material in a shorter amount of time.

They did help me with my problem, but when I was done they just tried to sell me tutoring packages. Even though I repeatedly told them I only needed help with that one problem. I tried to be nice and turn them down, but they kept asking me about packages. They kept saying that I would get my money's worth and that it would help my grades. But, I told them I already have good grades, and they kept asking. They did not stop until I had to be completely straight forward and say I wanted nothing to do with it.

They were unable to help me with the problem I submitted. After being passed around to about 3 tutors without any instruction, they refunded my money. I've written this review because I saw other reviews that said they didn't refund. In my case, they did. My rating of them is neutral. That they couldn't help me may not have been unreasonable. I've had many college math courses and I couldn't see the solution.

Not awful but not great either. Just OK. Maybe it's that online tutoring is not the right vehicle for my daughter, but she wasn't comfortable with it after 3-4 lessons in both math and science. The UI was a bit clunky and slow, and live, more interactive tutoring has worked much better for her and our family. Tutor Vista very promptly returned my money when I asked to cancel my subscription, so no issues there. The few people I spoke to on the phone were basically nice, but you have to be very comfortable dealing entirely with foreign employees, and if you're not, this is not the right company for you.

Had no idea how to complete my assignments for Physics, somehow I ended up with this site for help. Singed up and even got help from the tutors, its easy to use and they got some good tutors. But my concern is they have to reduce the pricing and also provide some additional discounts for existing costumers.
