Watch out when you go to pay for the tutoring. They say probably in very small writing that you have to use your hrs up with in a month or you have to subscribe for more hrs. I for some reason did not even see that you have to use all your hrs within a month otherwise i would have! I believe they ripped me off because i cant even go back in the site unless i subscribe for more hrs! Stay away from this site not professional at all! 0 stars!

My daughter was struggling with her class in Algebra I and II. I paid TutorVista for a 3 months. She was okay with them for the first month and then she was told that their website will be upgraded and there will be no connection while they will be doing the upgrade. They sent me an email that since it will take them time that they instead reimburse me like $250.00, back to my account. They never re-instate the amount they owe me. Is this not cheating for heaven sake on their clients? I will leave it for all of you to see my frustration with them. Good luck.

She did not attend the scheduled lesson as we kept waiting, Tutor was not available as per the last minute message.
Also she has had 2 lessons so far, both poor quality.
First lesson call was dropping off every 5 minutes
Second lesson she was told that she cannot have audio lesson and need to talk to customer service so we discontinued after 15 minutes into the class as it was not making sense.
I have left a message for Customer Service team so far no response.
VERY DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE. ZERO RATING

Most of the tutors are horrible... it is rare that my daughter finds a good one and when she finally does, they freeze up or get knocked offline... the best part? The scheduling system to try to get the rare "good one" back, doesn't work! Expect to get less than half of what you pay for. Customer service is horrible too. They push you and tell you you have 5 minutes to use their promotions. They also say they will credit wasted time but they do not. And don't give them your phone number because they will call and harass...

I signed up for this service to help with my college calculus class. The kind that would normally be covered in AP Calc BC. After I signed up, the tutors were passive agressive and made stinging little jabs like, "kindly tell me which part you didn't understand," and then finally telling me, "please make this sure [sic] with another tutor as I am not much sure [sic] with this." Would never in a million years have paid for this service had I known it would be this bad.

Tutor will spend about 10 minutes just saying welcome and ask how you are. Then they deliberately wait 5 minutes before even trying to respond to any of your messages. This is purposely to waste your minutes, it even took a tutor 10 minutes to respond to a simple yes or no question. All these tutors from India are just greedy scammers. All the 5 star reviews posted here are FAKE.

Terrible customer service. They have no clue on how to take feedback.
I have been complaining that I signed up for a voice tutoring session, but I keep getting a chat only session. Even after repeated reassurances from the folks who answer my call nothing seems to happen when the time comes to execution. Total disconnect between what you buy and what you get.

People just try to rob you. Tutors are extremely slow with their service. Probably trying to spend more time so they can squeeze out dollars from their students. Tutors do not teach properly AT ALL. I don't even know why this site exists! Stay away from this site! They are thieves!

Chatted with them they only wanted to sign me up, the demo was sucking. They told me that once I'm signing up it will be better, PLUS I'm signing up with a 100% MONEY BACK GUARANTEE! Which is a lie! Spoke to them over "20" times and nothing< full of theives and crap! All the 5 star reviews are 100% FALSE!

It took an hour to get one problem done. I think they keep you waiting to consume all your minutes. Most of the answers that I was giving were wrong and I spend hours on just 8 questions. It was terrible! I wish I could get my money back.

I was trying to figure out a problem for my chemistry home work and this little chat box popped up saying I could have a free demo session. So I said yeah, sure why not? Maybe it could help... boy was I wrong! This person was very rude the entire time! I couldn't get all of the convo in the picture and he refused to give me his name in the beginning. What a waste of time, I will never be using this site again!

-Network error occurred multiple times causing me to lose time
-Tutor took 5-10 minutes just to answer a simple yes or no question
-Ripped me off, said my account expired even though I had over 100 minutes and a 500 credit on my account

Do not waste your money on their outrageous prices of "tutoring" or "help." I feel that it is definitely a scam business running, not intended to help students in need, but rather to get them to spend their money on something that doesn't fulfill its services. The tutors I've had were extremely rude and non-native English speakers. Their sentences could not be correctly comprehended nor could they explain in simple English what concepts were. The academic counselor I got linked was even worse. He said that I was the rude one because I was so unsatisfied with this service, but if you're trying to make money, you don't tell the consumer that they are rude. This "counselor" had the worst attitude ever and I will never be using their service again.

I needed urgent help for an upcoming exam, and without the Academic Counsellor giving me a 5 minute or a small demo to see how the program is, he just went on and on advertising the tutor service. I decided to see how "excellent" tutorvista is, and I looked here to see so many reviews that were negative. I let him know, and he unprofessionally accused TutorVista's competitors that they were writing negative reviews and they are all fake. Completely ridiculous, glad that I wasn't going to do business with these people.

I SPENT 3 hours for 10 Questions and each tutor was only able to get 50% of the questions RIGHT. None of them could help me complete my hw. I am just as lost as I was when I start except now I lost 50 bucks and tons of time. Much of the time was taken up by tutors just reading the questions and sadly they would still get the answer wrong. I have to start my hw over 3 times because i was only permitted 3 questions wrong. What a pain in the $#*!? Use a more reliable site.

The tutor didn't know anything... about TRIGONOMETRY, I was explaining it to her. The guy I was talking to, John, wouldn't stop telling me why I should join. Offered me 1 a discount for 10%, then 5% and then 15%, but only if "you sign up right now." and he claimed that all the tutors have either masters or PHD's. But thats a load of crap. As I was talking, and trying to ask questions about the company, the guy got rude and only ever replied with pre-made responses, which is incredibly annoying. Ended up wasting an hour just for him to realize that I didn't want to sign up anymore because of the constant "sign up now and get a discount" or pre-made responses. Don't waste your time, spend your money on a real person who you can physically see and work with in person. Because they can't charge your card for extra months or hours that you didn't want.

I had a very bad experience with them. They asked me that I CANNOT SPEAK with the TUTOR. Can communicate by TYPING ONLY. This way you never know what is the qualification of your tutor. To who you are chatting?
It is simply NON-SENSE people who just want you to sign up and pay to them (IN US DOLLARS).

Stay away...

The website was a complete scam. It wasted my time by offering a free trial and them trying to force me to buy their monthly package. When I called them on it they attempted to scare me by saying the were going to trace my IP and deal with me. Complete waste of time. Dont even try it

I have a geometry test tomorrow and there was one simple unit that I needed help with, I forgot to ask my tutor and I was desperate so I found tutor vista on google. It took 25 minutes for me to get connected with a tutor and once I was, she didn't help at all and didn't make sense. She said something wrong and when I corrected her she told me my time was up. Not a good experience.

I selected one star since there isn't an option for zero stars. In looking for assistance with a math problem, I stumbled into this website, which, as soon as i opened it, an invite to chat with a tutor came up. I accepted the invite and that's when the scam begins. I was told i selected the wrong class from the drop down menu and that i would have to pay additional to switch to the class for which i needed tutoring, by this time, they had already charged $99 on my credit card. I asked them to reverse the fee but they refused! The representative (Nanda) took long time to respond and his response always was "I request you to take Math right away" completely ignoring my request for cancellation. This is a SCAM!
