Beware! TrueFacet is a Scam! They steal your property and money!
September 12, 2023

Update: after days of bashing TrueFacet on Social Media, they paid me for the sold watch. (The Breitling) Now we just need to resolve the issue with my Rolex they have. They say they will return it. Let's hope so.

Oct 3rd 2022- confirmed thru email my request to to sell 2 watches on consignment (one Rolex, one Breitling) via True Facet Concierge, sent watches in via provided Fed Ex Label
Oct 31 2022- requested update on consignment status … was told they were lagging behind in posting due to the busy holiday season (holiday season in October?)
Nov 2nd 2022 - watches went live on website
Jan 18 2023- sent email requesting update on sale of watches - was told to give it a while longer, it can take a few months to sell ( uh- it's been 3 months already)
June 6 2023 - I check TrueFacet website and discover the Breitling was sold! Sent an email asking where is my payout? Immediately requested the Rolex be returned to me.
Aug 3 2023- again emailed inquiring about my payout for the sold watch and the return of the Rolex as previously requested. True Facet replies (and I quote) "apologies for the extended delay with your payout but I can assure you that we are making an all out effort to have checks finalized as soon as possible as we navigate through internal matters. We have every intention of paying you and truly apologize for this delay since we have never run into such a matter before this. I will update you before the end of the week as to where we stand with payouts."
Aug 25 2023 - inquired again on the status of payout and return of 2nd watch. Was told "we have resolved our underlying issues that were causing the delays and will have a check sent to you before the end of next week."
August 28,2023 - sent another follow up to True Facet. Was then asked "Would you prefer to have funds sent via Paypal or check? (Uh …. Hasn't the check been in process since June?)
Aug 28 2023 - was instructed to "Please send and invoice from your Paypal account to *******@truefacet.com" which I did, but was obviously another stall-tactic.
Aug 31 2023 - emailed again demanding payout and return of unsold property
Sept 5 2023 -emailed again demanding payout and return of unsold property (they asked if I had emailed the PayPal request as instructed …. Uh, yes!)
Sept 8 2023 - emailed again demanding payout and return of unsold property (no reply)
Sept 11 2023 - emailed again demanding payout and return of unsold property (no reply)

Bait and Switch
June 26, 2023

Bait and switch company. I bought a watch over 2 months ago. I was charged right away then sent the wrong watch weeks later. They tell me this story that there was a mix-up, and that they sent my watch to the wrong customer, therefore I got the wrong watch. Okay, I send the wrong watch back the day I received it, within the hour I get the return label. Once I send the watch back radio silence.

After a week of not being able to get a hold of them, I threaten legal action. They get back to me saying the customer who received my watch sent my watch back a week later and had damaged the watch. Okay, the story seems a bit farfetched. But, then they are trying to charge me $2,000 more for my watch. I tell them that it is ridiculous and ask them to get that from the supposed customer who damaged my watch. They "graciously" decide to waive the 2k, and it has been over 2 months, and I still do not have my watch. All this time they have my money on hold.

Then, they tell me after I threaten them legal action again that they got my watch and will send it out. Nothing gets sent out, radio silence. Then, I threaten them again and they tell me the brand new unworn watch I ordered has a loose screw in it so they need to do a overhaul. How does a brand new watch need an overhaul. I get very suspicious and ask them to send me a picture of the watch, just to make sure they actually have it. They tell me they will send me the picture right away. They never do. So they have over 20k of my money for months now, and I have no watch.

Even the advertisements of their reviews are false. On the site they say they have five stars on Trustpilot, when you actually look at the review they have a 4.4 rating. A 4.4 rating might be considered high, but that is incredibly low for a jewelry seller, especially when they advertise 5 stars. After doing my reserach this story of getting the watches mixed up is a common story they have for many frustrated customers.

They advertise Watch A and send Watch B, hoping the customer does not notice. I have been buying high-end luxury watches for about a decade and I have never had such a terrible experience as this one. I am going to be pursuing legal action for damages as it is within my right in the state of New York, possibly even class action.

Tip for consumers:

They are a company that lies constantly. Even on their website they lie about how high their reviews are.

BUYER BEWARE OF TRUEFACET
January 1, 2022

BUYER BEWARE OF TRUE FACET: If I could give zero stars, I would because the lowest 1 star is just too gracious for a company like TrueFacet. I paid them 9k on Oct 14 (discounted price of a Cartier bracelet) and the item was guaranteed to deliver by Nov 10. To persuade me to purchase, the agent (Adi B) guaranteed that if his company couldn't get the item from one of their suppliers, then he would order it directly from the manufacturer and deliver it to me by the deadline. This company charged my card at the time of placing the order instead of at the time of shipping (it was not just a pending authorization). They never fulfilled the terms of the agreement. They never shipped the item nor even procured it nor refunded my payment. They lied repeatedly and I had to open a dispute with my credit card to get a refund. When I indicated that I do not trust their company and would like to leave a review so other clients can be forewarned, the agent continued with his false statements and repeatedly said they were acquiring the bracelet "the next day." It is now Dec 2 and "the next day" hasn't yet arrived. I have several emails and documented phone conversations where the TF agent is telling some pretty convincing lies. When I mentioned that there are already many negative reviews online regarding TF, the agent Adi B initially reassured me that the company has changed ownership and eventually blamed his supervisor's false promises regarding my transaction. To say the least, I have no reason to trust or recommend TrueFacet and I have every reason to warn others not to give this company loans in the form of payments for items that they promise (but never will) deliver. After exactly 7 weeks of giving this company the benefit of the doubt, I ended up ordering the item directly from the manufacturer at MSRP, as it was always in stock (TF also lied and said the manufacturer didn't have any stock to deliver). There was no reason for TrueFacet to keep the payment, which essentially turned out to be a 4-week interest-free loan from me to them, since they didn't deliver any service or product in return. It is deceitful companies like True Facet which create a bad name for online sellers. Another detail I noticed and documented is that at the time of checkout, the description for the product (verified by item number) included "original box and papers" and I confirmed with the agent that this meant the original Cartier authenticity certificate. Nearing the deadline of Nov 10, I noticed that True Facet had altered the description of the product with the same item number on their website indicating that it includes only the box. Unfortunately, this conduct indicated shadiness and the TF agent Adi did not realize that I have screenshots of the item description from the date of my order on Oct 14 and Adi tried convincing me that the item was never supposed to come with the authenticity certificate so for anyone who ordered prior to the editing of the description, would basically receive an item not as described if they were to receive this item at all. TRUE FACET CONDUCTED THEMSELVES IN THE MOST DESPICABLE AND DISGUSTING MANNER.

Tip for consumers:

BUYER BEWARE OF TRUE FACET: Do not trust them. They will accept your payment and never ship the item. Your payment will turn into an interest-free loan from you to them.

Stay away... far away.
June 1, 2017

1st experience purchasing (or trying to purchase) from TrueFacet was a complete disaster! I was looking to get a couple of Tag Heuer watches for me and my lady. Looked the the website and thought it strange that they would have multiple inventory listed and marked as "sold". My thought is if the inventory is "sold" then remove it from the website. No confusion, no "awwww man I wanted that..." This should have been my 1st warning...

So I found what I was looking for and went through the checkout process thinking everything was good and got the auto-generated confirmation. Cut to 11 days later, I finally got an email from a "live person" saying that one of the watches was no longer available. I asked if the other "Tag" I ordered was still good and was told that "it is with our watchmaker and will ship within 10-14 days" which puts it at 3+weeks since I ordered the pieces in the 1st place!

I wasn't too happy about that but I said ok... at least my gal was going to get her "Tag". 2 days later I still see I'm getting charged for both watches on my order with TrueFacet. Another round of emails and was told that the charge (for the watch that wan't available anymore) would be removed "tomorrow".

Now I'm getting kinda upset... 1st TrueFacet waits almost 2 weeks to tell me that one watch isn't available, then tells me that it would be another 2 weeks for the other to ship, then doesn't update the order accordingly. Grrrrrrrr...

3rd round of emails and I finally said "... look, just cancel the entire order... I'm getting NOWHERE with you guys... no communication, bad inventory accuracy... you've still haven't updated my order in 48hrs, btw - still shows full price for both watches... and I'm not dealing with your mistakes anymore.

So I then get another email (4th round) from TrueFacet stating that they will update my order to reflect only the 1 "Tag" watch which should have already been done so balance would be correct. Yeah... ok... I guess...

Here comes the kicker... I then get ANOTHER email (round 5) saying if I could please authorize payment AGAIN on the 1 "Tag" because TrueFacet "accidently" cancelled the entire order...

HUH?!?!?!

Wow... if TrueFacet is having trouble here... what's the "authenticity" process like? Not sure if I will ever buy... or try to buy from these "professionals". Maybe they do good work... maybe not. But when your dealing with buyers who are spending thousands of dollars with you... you do NOT make mistakes like this.

Period...
