A TOTAL SCAM
June 6, 2017

These people hacked into my computer telling me I had a dangerous virus AND TO NOT PRESS ANY KEYS OR SHUT THE COMPUTER DOWN, BUT CALL THE NUMBER ON THE SCREEN IMMEDIATELY. I called the number and my common sense told me it was a scam, so I hung up. In a few seconds they called me back and said that I should not ignore this warning and that there Microsoft Technicians and could fix it. My instinct was to shut it down but the screen was frozen. Like a fool I agreed to let them have a look. They gave me a command to type in then they remotely took control over my computer. I have to admit it scared me to death. They said I had been hacked and infected with 1855 viruses. In a few minutes they said they found the source and had fixed it. THEN they said it will be $300.00 for the fix and a continuing service contract. I told them that I didn't have that kind of money so they asked if I was a senior, I said yes and they would cut it in half. $149.99. I kept asking them who they were with and they kept assuring me they were Microsoft Technicians. I was really confused but since they were using the Microsoft name I guess I felt like I could trust them and that I didn't have any choice but give them my credit card info. They sent me a e-document contract to sign. After I read it, I refused to sign. They wanted my SS#, drivers license number and they already had my CC #. They kept calling me to sign and I told them NO! They did process a charge for $149.99 on my MC. I filed a protest with my bank and I am working on a refund, Don't be fooled by these Con Artist! I canceled that credit card so they can't charge anything else. I'm not sure if they captured any other information from my computer, but I watch it like a hawk. All of that took place on May5th, 2017, They tried again on June 2nd, 2017. The same screen, the same number and the same warning! This time I did a force shut down. I ran all my security, firewalls and everything else and haven't had any more problems. BE AWARE of this company!
