I ordered a watch but decided to exchange it. I spoke with a customer representative who told me to just ship the watch back and they would make the exchange. However, the new watch was more expensive so I had to pay the $15.00 difference. No problem, I did that right away. I then sent the watch back via UPS. A few weeks later, I get a shipping notification from Treehut for the original watch, not the watch I wanted to get in exchange. I contacted them that they were sending the wrong watch and they said they were shipping it back because I didn't comply with their "return protocol", which I wasn't aware of at the time I paid the $15.00 difference ( vis their website) and ship out the return watch. Apparently, I should have taken a screen shot of my $15.00 payment for proof that I paid the difference. I pointed out that I paid the difference via a link on their own website! Not good enough. In the meantime, the original watch they shipped back to me was lost in transit and they won't give me a refund without sending that watch back to them! Then they wanted me to verify the address they used to ship the watch back to me, which was wrong! Ridiculous because when the watch was sent to me way back before all this happened was correct. They didn't respond to my suggestion that the fact they used the wrong address to ship the watch back might explain why it was lost. They just kept saying that they can't refund' me without the watch they lost because they used the wrong address. During all these communications, their tone was nothing but
solicitous ( yes, Ms Mary, no Ms Mary) but completely unresponsive to my arguments. I didn't know what to say at this point (although I politely made reference to where they can shove their "return protocol"). DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. I AM NOT ONLY WITHOUT A WATCH, I'M ALSO WITHOUT MY $100 PLUS PAYMENT. THEY ARE NOTHING BUT SWEET-TALKING CROOKS.
