I purchased the refund option with my ticket and after going in email circles, they told me I cannot get a refund back. They also told me to send in a letter with exact information to express the reasoning behind it, but yet they rejected and said they cannot refund me back. They are unwilling to let you talk with them on the phone or send you to someone who can help with the situation. I recommend NOT booking your flights from this site to avoid a headache / hassle and losing money situation like what happened to me.

My name is Mona and Travelgenio has certainly failed me. On January 6th, 2022 I booked through Travelgenio a flight with insurance from Vancouver, BC, Canada July 18th, to Copenhagen, Denmark to catch an 11 day cruise with Princess Cruise Line headed to St. Petersburg, Russia.
Since then, the war broke out between Russia and Ukraine when Russia decided in invade Ukraine. The Princess Cruise Line has conscientiously cancelled the cruise to St. Petersburg. However, in trying to change my flight from Copenhagen to Heathrow, London, which IcelandAir flies to, the agents at Travelgenio would not submit a Waiver to change the destination to Heathrow. And according to Icelandic Air a waiver is all that would be necessary to re-route my trip to Heathrow versus Copenhagen.
On 4/12 I spent 6 hours going back and forth between Travelgenio agents and IcelandAir. The Travelgenio agents had a difficult time telling me my IcelandAir Resevation number, which I needed to be able to discuss with IcelandAIr my situation. Eventually through several different telephone calls, reasons, explanations, excuses the bottom line came to that IcelandAir would change the flight but the Waiver needs to be initiated by my travel agency, Travelgenio. The agents at Travelgenio said that I would have to get a Waiver from Icelandic Air, they would not write a Waiver, even in light of the War that had broken out.
My complaint? War breaks out and Travelgenio agents, even with purchase of insurance, are impotent to help me get a necessary waiver that the airline requires. Everyone I talked to was pleasant, but would not go the extra step to create a Waiver, even in light of War and purchasing insurance, Travelgenio agents were ineffectual to write a Waiver or to get me to a Supervisor or Manager who would write a Waiver. Although one of the Travelgenio agents said he would escalate, no one ever returned a call to me from Travelgenio.

Went to Kayak (a trusted app I use for travel bookings) where the quote for the flight was is in SGD.
When you book the flight via Travelgenio and get the invoice is emailed to you it's in USD which makes the flight 245 SGD more than the quoted amount you thought you were booking.
On Travelgenio's site the price shows us as an even deeper discount and you don't realize the actual currency is not stated here. The USD costs of flights They are charging will appear on their website without any currency stated, and the gimmick is you're actually paying more for your flight because it is misrepresented). Seats have a $ next to it but no currency. So you think you are booking SGD all along.
These guys are a scam. Beware as everyone here is posting the truth. Not to mention you can't cancel a pending charge with the credit company. And Emirates won't help because your eticket isn't processed so they can't do anything either.
It's all a scam and I'm most upset at Kayak for allowing this to happen to its customers who trusted them.
If I go to Emirates directly the flights are going up in price and I will have no idea if I can dispute this flight which can't be cancelled …. So you are stuck.

Don't be me. Be smarter and better and don't use this site. It is a scam and the "silver customer service" is not silver or customer service. They will lie and do everything they can to steal your money, lie to you, and walk away laughing. The only thing I wonder is how in a place with as many regulations as Europe, this site has managed to continue to operate with impunity. If you do use this site, use a credit card with consumer and fraud protection because you will need it. You might as well use it for whatever purchase you make at Travelgenio because you won't be using the money when you arrive at your desired destination- you will never actually get there.

Originally, I was scheduled to fly from Sydney to Singapore in Qantas, from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur in Malaysian Airlines, and from Kuala Lumpur to Kathmandu in Malaysian Airlines. I received an email from Travelgenio saying that my connecting flight from Singapore has been changed from 21:15 to 22:05 with the same flight plan.
However, when I got to Singapore at 17:50, I was informed that there was no Malaysian Airlines (MH610) scheduled at 22:05. Furthermore, the flight on my ticket MH610 had been cancelled and replaced with MH606 which flew out at 14:40. No communication Travelgenio was provided about this change.
Now, I have an unscheduled transit at Singapore airport for 15 hours.
When I contacted Travelgenio customer service they were unapologetic and failed to rectify their mistake. They kept blaming different airlines when they are the one who are responsible.
I will never book with them and will advise everyone reading this review to be well away from them.

Had to reschedule flights to Canada due to pandemic, first time was fine, and then they provided an open ticket. I have now tried to use the open ticket and they are completely ignoring my emails and contract forms - and the 24/7 £0.13/min helpline is a waste of time and money.
£875 gone! Do not use them

I called customer service to ask what airlines they had me on because I called the airline directly and they had no proof I was on their flight. When I talked to customer service at Travelgenio to inquire about my ticket the guy on the phone was horrible and started yelling at me and saying they don't need customers like me! He was talking over everything I was saying and ranted on and on. Who talks like this in a customer service position when your livelihood depends on customers? Do Not Use this company.

I wish I had done more strenuous due-diligence and read this page prior to booking with this agent. My friend and I, both university students, booked tickets with this agent to London to watch a Chelsea match, however two days after the club were hit with sanctions. After some weeks of waiting, we decided to try and alter the reservation as we would be unable to attend a Chelsea match given the sanctions. This agent was unhelpful in helping me to, first, attempt to cancel the booking, and then moreover did not honour their 50 euro fee to reschedule the booking and would not elaborate as to particularly why my flight was ineligible to be rescheduled. I am now left with plane tickets totalling nearly one-thousand dollars that I am unable to use, and with absolutely no effort from the agent to try and, at the very least, help me to alter the reservation, despite the fact that the circumstances which prohibited my trip were completely out of my control. I even attempted to call the airline which my tickets were for, only for them to tell me that they are unable to help in modifying my reservation as this agent is the one who handled the transaction. In essence, Travelgenio is holding my money hostage in this case, and they do not feel inclined to help me with it whatsoever. Truly a kick in the gut.
Learn a lesson from my mistake and avoid Travelgenio at all cost - sometimes it is genuinely more worth it in terms of peace of mind and real customer service to book directly with a trusted carrier.

The worst situation of bookings.
I have a book of flight Prague-Mexico (throught Amsterdam) on 5.17, ive been booking it from 4.17 but had an email yesterday that my book is canceled and they were give me another way for flying for 2000 euro lol Of course I dont need it, but right now they just ignoring my emails and dont descibe the whole situation, whats the reason of cancel? We used Travelgenio to book a British Airways flight from Seattle to Malaga; with a stop-over in Heathrow. When BA cancelled our Heathrow to Malaga flight; Travelgenio decided to re-book us on a flight that left Heathrow 5 hours PRIOR to our arrival there. And, since there is no phone number for Travelgenio; and no way to contact them directly; we had to go through BA and work through a series of difficulties to get our reservations revised.

Made a flight reservation for 3 people for 10 days, and got the confirmation and it was for 2 people with 3 names, and the return date was for a month later. Managed to contact them and they could not change the return date and said they would cancel and sent me a cancelation email and on the phone said my credit card would get refunded in 24-48 hrs. It was over a week before I got the refund.
