“Fairly easy to find sizes & order”

Fairly easy to find sizes & order. Not able to see a local installer until you select to buy. Would like to know installers in area before purchasing. Luckily a couple options close by.

“Seems to be a waste of money”

New all terrain tires Iron Man All Country M/T. Less than 150 miles and the side wall blew out on both rear tires a week apart and can't get any help to replace them or make it right seems to be a waste of money. And I have over $3,000 worth of tires on 3 vehicles all the same brand hate to change brands but will have to after being a loyal customer for years

Fast and easy! Lots of payment options. Fast shipping.

Reason I chose this business:

Tires needed to buy online. And with Affirm.

Since I've downgraded my assessment to 2 stars I'll start with the cons. I selected TireBuyer because they were referred by my local tire store. However, they did not have the local store of installer in their approved installers list, so I went to live chat to ask about that. It was confirmed that only one of the 3 stores owned by the installer that I wanted to use was in their system. The chat operator suggests that I have them "delivered" to the store of my choice, but the live chat froze and I was unable to continue the conversation. So I decided to order and send the "in stock tires to my house. Second issue, I ordered two 15" and two 16" tires for a custom streetrod. The two 16" tires arrived a day early and the two 15" tires arrived several days later even though the shipping label was created the day after the order. Third issue. The two 16" tires are almost 3 years old and the two 15" tires arrive looking like they were stored outside (even the UPS driver commented "they're really dirty"), but at least they were less than a year old.
Now the pros: The TireBuyer website was fairly well done and made it easy to select and buy tires.
In conclusion, I will not buy tires from a company that sells 3 year old tires. Anything less than 2 years old might be acceptable, but 3 is old stock and should have been discounted and noted at the time of the sale.

Sent an email regarding my two delayed tires and the automated response said I would get a full response within 24 hrs. It was more than 24 hours and merely stated what I already knew…”a shipping label was created.”

Did not have the closet store of installer in their approved installers, so I went to live chat to ask about that. It was confirmed that only one of the 3 stores owned by the installer that I wanted to use was in their system. The chat operator suggests that I have them "delivered" to the store of my choice, but the live chat froze and I was unable to continue the conversation. I decided to just send the tires to my home address and arrange the installation after they arrive. Other than that, I have no complaints about the shopping experience, and I would have rated it a 5 star in the absence of the glitch as noted.

I've used them twice and they are 2/2 at dropping the ball at following thru with the installer. Prices are good and tires get deliver but there is ZERO follow thru to make sure install goes smoothly. Especially via PepBoys. You will have to schedule and/or make changes to the appointment yourself and make sure PepBoys has correct install dates and install rates.

Bought a set of RB/SUV tires and within 3 week's experienced a flat from a small pebble in my driveway. I then called to see if I could get reimbursed for the repair customer service said no and I said that I will not be purchasing from them again. I do not recommend them.

On Monday August 29th, around 11:00pm, I paid for four 275/65R18 tires for my Ford Expedition EL XLT. I got a great deal, and I had the tires shipped to a local installer who was in their network. Once the purchase was completed, their system allowed me to book an appointment. I selected Wednesday August 31st, AM appointment.

The following day, shortly after 1:00pm, I received an email from Shivam a member of Tirebuyer.com's Customer Champion Team. He said that they were unable to deliver the tires on time as we have experienced a delay with the order and would be unable to honor the install appointment. I wrote Shivam at 1:30,3:50 and 5:20pm with no replies. I called the Customer Champion Team and spoke to Michael. Michael looked up my order and put me on hold. When he came back, he said that he had no information for me. He said that Fedex was slated to pick up the tires, but he had no tracking information at that time. He said I would be contacted by a member of the "shipping Team" within the next four hours via phone or email. I didn't get a phone call or email from them nor a follow up call from him.

I called back later in the day and spoke to a woman who I could not catch her name because it sounded like she was taking care of a baby and a flock of chickens at the same time while trying to help me. She could not provide me with any information except she confirmed that the tires were in stock. She also said I had to wait for the shipping team to get back to me. Unlike Michael, she said it would take 24-48 hours.

I then received an email from a Blanca around 12:30pm on Wednesday August 31st saying the tires have been signed and delivered to the installer. She sent me signed proof. I asked her for answers on why there was a "delay" in shipping but someone the tires managed to be delivered on-time? She never replied to that.

Here is the list of all her email replies:

In her system this was a 1-3 business day order (I did not select this option).
All orders placed after 2:00pm are not processed till the next day (I do not work there so I would not be made aware of this).
Technically we had until Thursday 9/1 to deliver this item (mentioned nothing of this when you are selecting tires or an appointment).
Your order should not have been selected till 9/2 (I agree but why was it?)
You placed your own order and the tire description states how many days it takes for the delivery (I didn't see any of this, if this is there, then why does your system allow you to select an install appointment? The install should have not been allowed for Wednesday and should have made Friday, first availability)
She still has not told me why I received a shipping issue letter, what the shipping issues was or why they needed to cancel my install if the product showed on-time?
Processed on the distributor portal, and it would be updated after 3:30pm with any new info. (I don't work for you, so I don't care what the distributor portal is, and I was provided no info after yesterday's 3:30pm deadline.
I'm not sure if this lady was the chicken lady but she just kept stating guidelines for you guys to hide behind while never telling me what the shipping issue was. This entire process started off great but fell apart fast. This is not customer service. Leaving someone in the dark after canceling their install without an exact explanation is horrible. You need to get back to people and give your staff all the information available at their fingertips. Why do you have a Customer Champion Team if they need another team to reply to me. This is a simple fix in your business that will save wasted time on the phone by your Customer Champion Team. Customers should have a tracking number from the get-go, even if it's coming from your warehouse. An install should only be scheduled once the tires arrive at the selected installer. If all that was done from the door, you wouldn't have heard a peep from me. Again, flat out horrible customer service.

Tip for consumers:
Don't.

I purchased 2 tires for a great price. The delivery to their recommended installers occurred in a fairly timely manner, but the installation was completely botched. After I took the time to review the installer on TireBuyer.com's website, I came to realize that a critical review would not be posted by TIreBuyer.com.

I was also disappointed in the limited inventory, because when I returned to buy the other 2 tires to match the first two I purchased, they no longer had that tire. Of course, I wish I had purchased all four in the first purchase, but I had not used an online tire retailer before and wanted to see if it would be an extra headache. I only wanted to buy the second pair because the installer wanted the opportunity to make amends for the first botched installation.

That said, if I had purchased all four tires when I made the original purchase and the installer had not messed up the installation, I would have been really please with TireBuyer.com. I'm annoyed that they repeatedly asked me to review the installer and then when I did, they censored the review.
