TrackR

This product is simply bad design. Not only did it arrive with dead batteries, but the replacement battery feature in the app is also broken - it comes in a pack of 5 pixels, and each of them have to be connected before the app can determine that the battery is dead, so if the battery is dead on arrival, there's no chance of getting a replacement for free as advertised. Plus, you can't order multiple batteries even though there's no way you can buy a single TrackR pixel, they only come in multiple packs.
After purchasing replacement batteries, getting into the pixel to install a new battery is a mission because of the terrible design. The back is meant to twist open, but that's just a lie. There's no way for your fingers to grab on or even have any traction against the back to twist it open. After finally managing to get a new battery in, the product design is such that it doesn't let the battery touch the circuit board, so unless I squeeze the pixel really hard, it does not turn on. Overpriced, completely useless, a total waste of plastic. The idea is good, but the execution fails completely. This is like a high school product design assignment gone wrong, even the basics fail miserably. When I tried to contact the manufacturers through their website, literally no leads as to how to contact them. Do not buy this, it's basically a scam given the way it doesn't work in any aspect - product design, customer service and replacement services are all a giant failure.
I never post reviews, but these fail so badly that other people must be told how awful it is.

I got the TrackR as a gift from a friend and I love it! It's super easy to use and small enough that it doesn't add any bulk to my keys.

A big piece of $#*!. I've been stolen. I want my money back. Worst is the time spent trying to make it work.

Never received product even though they claim it was sent. Have been requesting tracking number to trace order and they do not respond. How ironic that I am unable to get a tracking number TrackR Company.

You will never get customer care from this company. Better hope your product works as advertised - which I doubt based on all negative comments everywhere.

I bought a 10 pack of TrackR's during their Black Friday sale and I am so happy I did! I gave a few as gifts and kept the rest for me. I have attached one on my keys, the TV remote and my 7 year olds backpack. They have helped me save so much time and stress!

Piece of junk! Your item is considered lost in the next room! Please do not put this on your pets & expect it to work! For example... You put it in your wallet or purse & leave it behind, the store attendant puts your item in the back room, so even if another person comes into the store with the TrackR app, it will not trigger a signal! That is how close you have to be to trigger it as found!

My initial test of the TrackR suggested that in theory it had a range of 60 metres (180 feet), but when I put it on my cat's collar and she was hiding underneath the flowers in our garden the range went down to 3-5 feet - at which point I could see her. TrackR is really only effective when you have a direct line of sight - which begs the obvious question - if you can see something what do you gain by being able to TrackR it?

Bought them 10 for the price of 6, got 7. Doesn't work, live in LA, there should be plaenty of others around. 5 of us tried getting them to work. Called support, they just referred me to FAQ's, which I already knew. No tech's there. Applied for refund, never heard from them. Felt like scam. No one ever contacted me about anything

This is a very bad company. I've made an order for 3 Track over 50 days ago and received nothing. There is No response No phone to contact sending emails doesn't help either and it seems someone has 800 numbers from his Home and doesn't accept any Voicemail. Its scam and I should my money back from the credit card company.

I ordered engraved TrackR's for my pets collars and they are awesome. The pet dollar attachment is also very helpful. I really like the fact that I can know where my pets are and be alerted if they get out of the house.

Useless product! I don't get this product, this is the second time I purchased this product and both times found it a useless marketing ploy that doesn't work. I can barely locate a device within a few feet in my house, how is it going to fine it a few miles away? Don't waste your money, use the tracking app that comes with your iPhone.

I bought it for my dog. It does not work. You have to be within 50ft of it with no doors or objects in the way. If you are out of range, then you have to hope and pray someone else has a trackr on something that is close to it to pick up signal. So far that has not happened. It is false advertisement. Should have read reviews first instead of wasting my money.

Dont waste your money. These things only work 50 feet away.The crowd gps may work if you get a billion fools to buy their product.

Junk! No customer service! Wish I would have read these reviews before I bought one. Tried to return and they just keep saying it was my bad software and still have no refunded the money. Maybe paypal will help.

I found one of thier trackers on my car as well as my fiancé car, and the company wont help me find the owner of them nor will they assist the police With investigation. What crap they have put my 11 year old son as well as my fiancé and my self at great risk. Will my son be abducted or will I and my fiancé be killed or what...
What crap to sell a product that can be used for breaking laws and not be willing to aid the police...

I found one unit to be defective. There is no refund or return policy on their website. Their customer service phone message says to email support & they will respond within 24 hours. I sent two emails over a week ago and no response. No one responds to their online chat service. TrackR emailed me a survey before I received the shipment. Once I received the items, I filled out the survey complaining about the nonexistent customer service and support, & did not receive a response. I gave them a "1" rating but they should get a "0"

Orderd 5 and paid for it almost 1 year ago, the customer service gave false information about losing my order 3 times, when I asked for refund they stopped responding

Bought two, one didn't do a thing and the other worked a couple of times on an item in the cupboard in the next room, then it simply stopped working. I hope the people making, selling and promoting this product get put away for fraud, cos that is exactly what this is...

Ordered and paid for a year ago and up until now nothing received as yet... except empty promises!

This device does not work I put it on my dog I could be sitting right next to her it can't find her. Bought five Open three none of them work asked for refund no results I say keep away from this product.

TrackR short-distance (when device is less than 90 feet from your phone) functionalities operate roughly as represented. However, the Crowd tracking functionalities as allegedly demonstrated in the video posted on their website (showing the recovery of a stolen bicycle) is downright false representation. And so is the extent of the coverage of the TrackR community represented on the map of North America. I have run tests in a number of large densely populated urban areas and got no / very poor results in tracking the last position of devices. TrackR's position has been to basically admit that Crowd coverage is simply inadequate and you'd have to be very lucky to locate a stolen bicycle or lost keys if it is beyond a 90-feet perimeter from your mobile phone. So potential buyer beware!

The TrackR does not do what is advertised. It is useless in finding a car, unless you are standing next to it in your garage. It is useless in finding your phone unless you left your phone in a nearby place in your house. I cannot see what purpose this has and when I tried to get some response from customer service email, like so many other people I was totally ignored.

Received these as a gift for Christmas and couldn't be happier. I have them on everything to help me find them. It has already saved me from leaving my keys behind a few times.
