I ordered a vacuum cleaner for 69.99. A month later, I received an envelope with a plastic cover for a home vacuum system (value $6). I contacted them and was told they are out of stock. I was welcome to keep the item that I received and they would give me a 5% refund. I've gone back and forth with them and they are currently up to 30% refund. They can't go any higher because the item I'm keeping has value and they paid for shipping. So I would be paying almost $50 for a $6 item that I have no use for! I don't even want to give them 1 star!

Placed 2 orders July 22nd. After a couple weeks I started to worry that my plants were possibly lost in shipping. I emailed the company, didn't get any response. I emailed them 2 other times with no feedback. I tried tracking my packages via UPS as that is what the site claims to ship through, and I was informed that the tracking number was invalid. I now see that their Instagram account has been removed and am unfortunately discovering that I am not the only victim to this fraudulent site. I will be contacting my bank to report fraud and request a refund.
I bought a plant from them on July 7 that was supposed to ship on July 22. I never gotten my order and filed a dispute with my bank on 8/5. I tried to contact them numerous times, but never replied to any of the messages I sent on their website and Instagram. Since then their Instagram profile has be shut down, but their website is still up. Becareful with this company. It's a total scam. Don't waste your money!
Ordered two plants in early July, never got an email about shipping. Contacted them, no response, finally they said the order would ship the next week. Never heard from them again. Also, their email is a yahoo address, not even a business email account.
Meanwhile, complaints started piling up in Instagram comments. Then they turned off all comments and said to DM them instead. Never replied to any of my DMs. They were still posting new plants and even giveaways (um, why are you giving away plants when you haven't even shipped the ones people paid for yet?). Then their Insta was removed for violating Instagram policies.
Several friends also ordered and no one has gotten their plants. Not a single positive review, report of receiving a plant, or unboxing video online; only complaints.
I filed a chargeback with my credit card and reported their website to Shopify, the host.

Just say no. This site is a total scam. You'll never get your plant.
Do not order from this place. They claim "to be a small business, so there might be a delay in your order," but after almost a month they have sent nothing, do not respond to emails, and have turned off the commenting on their Instagram account so you can't see people complaining about their business practices. AVOID.
This place is total BS and a scam! Never got any shipping confirmation, they got flagged by Instagram and then they never responded to my emails. Already reported them to my credit card company for a refund but I'm about to write a million bad reviews for them to help others avoid making the same mistake I did!
After seeing them on Instagram, I too ordered from theplantplaceonline.com and never received my order. Have contacted them via email several times; no response of course. Also note that they have turned off all comments on their Insta page. What jerks.
Do not order from this place. Takes money and will never send anything. Never replies to emails. SCAM.
Ordered a plant, have heard nothing since and they won't answer any emails. About to contact my credit card company and Better Business Bureau.
On June 28th I ordered a Philodendron ring of fire from theplantplaceonline.com. If I could rate them a ZERO, I would!
This was my priciest plant purchase thus far, and I was soooo stoked on receiving it. Shortly afterward, they sent a mass email saying they were overwhelmed with orders and shipping was being delayed by a week. I was going out of state the following week, so I emailed asking when my plant was expected to be shipped. I almost immediately received a response saying that my plant was scheduled to be shipped in the next batch, but they suggested putting a hold on it until I returned so it didn't arrive while I was gone and sit in a box dying. They scheduled it to ship the week after I returned and offered me free shipping for the delay, which I thought was awesome! So far a great experience with this shop, right?
Well, I returned from my trip on a Saturday, and figured I'd receive a shipping notification on Monday, but I didn't. I emailed a few times throughout that week and never received a single response. I went on their Instagram, on which they'd been active, and they have turned off comments on all their posts, which leads me to believe others are pissed off and commenting about it as well. They have posted a few things in their story last week that their internet was down, that they would respond to all emails THAT DAY (which they did not) that they were behind on orders, that they'd be getting help prepping and sending out orders, etc. I messaged them on Instagram, since they've been so active, still trying to sell new plants and whatnot, but no response here either.
I emailed them twice more, once on Friday and again this morning, since their IG story claimed they were shipping out 100 orders this morning, but I still have not received a response or a shipping confirmation or any inkling that this is even a legit company. I don't know if it's just reallyyyy poor customer service, or if this is a total scam, or what.
I'm now in the process of filing a dispute with my credit card company for a refund. I'm posting this as a warning, because I couldn't find any reviews on these guys anywhere. Hopefully this prevents someone else from getting screwed over!
***UPDATE*** I've now confirmed with SEVERAL other customers that this site is indeed just a complete SCAM. Seems that nobody has ever received their orders. Please don't let this seller dupe you into thinking he's actually going to send the plants you purchased. It's a stall tactic so that the amount of time you have to file a dispute with your credit card company lapses and you are SOL on being refunded! Don't waste any time, file the dispute and get your money back!
