DO NOT DO IT! READ MY EXPERIENCE

Ocumenting my FashionPass Experience. Do not do it.

I have been an avid FashionPass fan. I had over 41 orders in the past year. I have also participated in focus groups with the product team, and have referred over 10 friends to the platform. My instagram blog account also features FP in every post, and I was featured on the FP instagram twice.

Everything went south this week. It started when I noticed that I had a $150 charge on my Debit Card, at the same time I got an email from FashionPass saying 'Thank you for your purchase!'. I looked at the email and I can confirm that I did NOT purchase the 3 items in that email (a small purse, a shirt, and a blouse). I also have my receipt of dropping my order of 6 items at a FedEx location.

I reached out to FashionPass ASAP and they asked me to check my apartment for the items again, do not have them. They also asked if there was a chance that the items could be coming in another shipment, there is no chance. I know I dropped the items off and I did *not* steal them. Then, after pushing back, FP agreed to give me the $150 back, but they told me I can no longer use the platform. I was accused of stealing the items. Packages open in transit all the time, and there was no research done with FedEx (each package should come with an insurance amount for claims), and when i escalated this to the CEOS Brittany and Joel Avery, and the senior customer service manager, they agreed this approach was final. I will now take my business elsewhere (see screenshot from Sydney).

The icing of the cake to this story was when, like I mentioned above I have referred lots of friends to the platform, that my good friend shared her experience when she lost an item, and her response was extremely different (see screenshot from Katie). I do not want to think my experience was because of how I look, but when your instagram only features white, skinny, models- and the CEO Brittany and her coworkers/friends, and the models on the website also all look the same, it is hard to not feel this way. I also challenged the team on this and nobody responded, because they likely know it is true. Radio silence from the team.

Take my advice, and DO NOT DO IT. When you support FP you are supporting favoritism, racism, and terrible customer service. Rent The Runway has been in business for years and I can already say after 1 day on the platform my experience has been much better.

Do better FashionPass.
