He is out of date, does not do this town any favors and the paper is totally self serving. He gossips and starts rumors and puts them in this paper. Trashy rag full of ads and nothing except local gossip and school news. Who cares. Retire, old man and let someone versed in Social Media take over the paper and the position of Mayor.
