“I purchased a car from Don Diamond at Nu 2 U Auto Sales...”

Joni N.
2/19/11

I purchased a car from Don Diamond at Nu 2 U Auto Sales on January 29,2011. Upon test driving the car I noticed the heater was not working. When I got back to the car lot, I informed Don that the heater was not working. He assured me that the heater did work and I had nothing to worry about, but if it was not working he would repair it! PROBLEM NUMBER 1! This was only the beginning to my nightmare! Don went on to give me a CarFax and then assure me that ALL HIS CARS ARE INSPECTED AND IN GOOD MECHANICAL CONDITION! After consideration, I purchased the car! After leaving and driving 20 miles, the oil light came on! I stopped by the store, got some oil, and allowed a family friend to put the oil! It was then noticed that the car had no fluids! PROBLEM NUMBER 2 After leaving, I went on my way got an oil change the next morning and assumed everything was fine! Was i wrong! The car drove fine for 4 days! On my way to drop my kids off to school, the car started smoking! Shut off on me twice before finally shutting down and not starting back up! I contacted Don and he stated that this was odd! Gave me the number to his tow truck driver and told me to text him! I assumed Don would take care of this, because at car buying time he assured me that he stands behind his cars and I only had the car 4 days! WRONG AGAIN! The tow truck driver took 3 days to pick the car up! In the mean time, I had my own mechanic take a look at it! I was then informed that the heads were blown on the car! I contacted Don and he stated his mechanic would look at it! Once Don received the car I went to the dealership! He informed me that the heads were gone and my option would be to purchase another engine MYSELF! Now keep in mind I just gave this man 3000 cash and he wants me to purchase another engine! This is at least a 1500 dollar job! Money that I don't have! He sent the car to his mechanic said they would fix it and I could pay him 800 for it! Sounded like a good idea since I knew the job would cost abou 1500! WRONG AGAIN! He contacted me stating it was not the heads, but the intake! And it would only be 120 dollars to fix! WOW! I THOUGHT HOW GREAT! WRONG AGAIN! Don told me every day for a week that the car would be ready! He lied to me about the work that was being done on the car! Finally he told me after that what the were doing was putting engine block in it! WHAT! Trying to do another quick fix! Still not fixing the problem! When that wouldn't work he then became rebellious stating! This is not his problem but mine! I purchased the car AS IS! This guy is a scam artist and I wish I would have done research on him ahead of time! I am now out of $3000 and left without a car!
