Do Not Use This Company - Not Reliable
March 7, 2023

Unfortunately I can not give zero stars. I did not realize this company is a flower broker, or middle man. I thought they had replaced a local flower shop that recently went out of business. Instead of ordering from a local flower shop, with this company you are ordering from a company that takes flower orders online and assigns the work to a mom and pop flower shop. I have two problems with this. 1. This company takes a percentage of the profit from the small business simply by assigning the work order, they do nothing else. To be clear a large business is charging a fee to a small business for the work order simply because the large business pays to show up first in a google search and thereby captures more business inquiries. If this company did not exist the customer would not have to pay as much for the flowers because there would not be an additional company with their hands in the transaction. 2. This business model creates a situation with a longer supply chain. So instead of the flower shop telling the customer what they can provide to them and taking payment directly; this middle man company adds steps to the transaction process by contacting all of the flower shops in the area to fulfill the order through a bidding platform which drives down the fee paid to the small business, and the remainder of the fee charged to the customer goes to the middle man company, simply for inserting themselves into a process where they are not needed. How can this play out in application? My experience was I placed an order for flowers for my mom and her twin sister who were spending their birthday together for the first time in many years. I placed the order at 9:00 am in the morning with a guarantee from the company that the flowers would be delivered by 6:00 pm. It stated on the website that the bouquets I selected were available and would be delivered same day if ordered by 2:00 pm. I then verified this over the phone as well, just to be sure. Nine (9) hours was provided for delivery and the order was placed five (5) hours before the cutoff time for same day delivery. I called the restaurant at 5:45 pm to verify the flowers had arrived. They did not arrive and I never received any form of contact from this company. They said nothing about not delivering the flowers. I called them at which point I was told they could not find a local flower shop to fulfill the order. I was told this by a person at a call center. The order that they stated was available on the website and over the phone when I called earlier in the day to verify by phone that there would be no issues was not delivered. If I would have worked directly with a local business as I usually do this would not have happened. Local businesses know their capabilities whereas this company clearly did not; it has proven to not be possible when the transaction is being organized from a call center by minimum wage workers. This is a parasitic company that draws fees from customers and and the small business. They complicate the process which increases fees and increases the likelyhood of problems with the customer's order.

Tip for consumers:

Don't. Go directly to a local flower shop. Help the small business and don't pay a fee to a middle man that can't get the job done.

Products used:

None. They did't fulfill the order and it was too late to order from someone else.

Buyer beware! Feels like a scam!
February 15, 2023

I ordered the flowers/gifts on 02/08/2023 and the order was put in on 02/09/2023 by Terry's Florest. The delivery date was supposed to be 02/14/2023. My wife didn't get her Valintine's delivery. I thought with it being so busy maybe the flowers/gifts were just going to be a day late. So, I waited for the delivery which did not show up. I then called Terry's Florist@ *******738 on 02/15/2023 and spoke to a customer sales rep about the situation. I informed her that the money had been taken out of my bank account on 02/14/2023 and there was no delivery made. The customer sales rep then informed me that my order was canceled on 02/14/2023 due to a distribution issue within their warehouse. She then said they tried to contact me by phone and email on 02/14/2023. This is not the case. I did not receive an email or a phone call from Terry's Florist. They have my phone number, my wife's phone number and my email. I asked to speak with a supervisor but was told there wasn't one available. I informed the customer sales rep that I would wait until the supervisor was available. She insisted that her supervisor was busy with another customer, and it would be a while. I again said I would wait. She then told me I am sorry sir but there is no supervisor available. If you ask me what you want to ask the supervisor, then I will answer your questions like the supervisor would. She informed me a full refund was issued to my card and it would take 3 to 5 business days to receive the funds back. She could not give me a confirmation number to substantiate this. My question is "Why did they take the money in the first place if they knew it couldn't be delivered?" Terry's Florist took money out of my account on 02/14/2023 knowing there was nothing to deliver. They claim they are giving me a refund which they imitated on 02/14/2023. The email (just hand typed no confirmation number) stated the refund was initiated on the day I called (02/15/2023). I do not think they planned on giving me a refund until I called to find out what was going on with my order. Again, I ask why did they take the money from my account knowing there was no product to deliver? I now have to wait 3 to 5 business day to receive MY MONEY back (if in fact they do refund MY MONEY) that should not have been taken in the first place. I would NOT recommend Terry's Florist
To anyone! They do not disserve a one-star review!

Wish I could rate with NEGATIVE numbers
December 12, 2022

I should have paid attention to the reviews. Thought it's a flower company how bad can it be. Saw same day delivery if placed before 2pm on their web site as well as the specific photos of the flowers said "AvailableToday". So I ordered for my daughter flowers at 10am for her birthday for a little extra something special for the day. This started 10am. After being on hold first of THREE times I had called there in excess of 10 minutes - I got a foreign person - of which I have no issue with but SPECIFICALLY asked if they were located in Greenville, SC THREE TIMES and told yes - I find out in reality they are a out of the area outsourcing company like FTD or such but MUCH WORSE AND UNRELIABLE!
I asked EACH time if she would DEFINITELY get the order today as there are several other true florists in the area. I was told yes each time. The reason 3 calls is they did call me back at noon and said they needed a different address as they couldn't deliver to Furman University for some reason so I made arrangements with great people at Furman Police to take to her once they recieved them.
At 5:20pm STILL no flowers nor any contact from the company that they had any issues. I called there then to get NO answer and then emailed them - by now they'd already charged our card having no problem to do that even though they couldn't do the order!
An hour later they responded they could not do the order because of "supply issues". By this time every place else was closed. They wouldn't have even TOLD me she wasn't getting the order had I not made contact.
I email responded my disappointment and no response from them till 2 days later asking if they could make the delivery! HECK NO the birthday is past! Now 5-7 business days before they can do a refund?
This place is a scam! Shop direct local for sure!

Terry's Florist
If you're in the market for the delivery of a floral arrangement, for a special occasion, this is not your flower shop. I specifically chose Terry's Florist for two reasons: to support a small business and because it was local to the area in which I needed flowers delivered. I placed an order for next day delivery, indicated the delivery address was a business and the reason for delivery was a birthday. The arrangement was a little pricey, just shy of $100, but beautiful nonetheless. By 3pm, the next day… I hadn't received notice the flowers were delivered. I immediately called Terry's Florist to ensure delivery by 5p, assuming 2 hours was plenty of time to get it figured out. Grace assured me the bouquet of flowers were out for delivery. At 5p, I confirmed the flowers were not delivered. What a huge disappointment. I waited the entire day for Terry's Florist to fulfill my order, and was robbed of an opportunity to make other arrangements. When I called for a refund, I was told same day cancellations were not permitted and my money would not be refunded. I pressed the issue, Terry's Florist did not uphold their end of the purchase agreement… I wanted a refund of my money. There wasn't recourse on their end, the business was closed. No way for a successful delivery at this point! I was then told they needed to speak to their delivery driver to determine why the flowers weren't delivered before a refund would even be considered. Uncertain how their problem with the delivery driver was my problem, I requested to speak to a supervisor. I was denied the opportunity. I was told the supervisor would only reiterate what I was already told. Unacceptable. I refused to take that as the end all be all. So I held the line until Grace figured it out. I honestly think she was purposely trying to get me to hold for an extended period, so I would hang up because I was on hold for over 30 mins before the call was conveniently disconnected. That or she was tending to the small children I could hear in the background. I called back a third time. This time Grace shared her supervisor's info. Unfortunately, "Jones" wasn't available to take my call and won't be accessible until after the new year. Of course this is the case! Save time and your money. Go elsewhere. This flower shop is a joke.

WRONG DAY, WRONG VASE
September 18, 2021

Ordered a premium floral bouquet from terrys florist for my wife's birthday, had them delivered to her work on her birthday. Chose the one with clear cubed vase... mostly the reason I chose this certain bouquet, as the flowers die, and the vase is what is continued to be used. Was delivered a day early... not on her birthday, in a cheap plastic purple vase. Her fellow coworkers joked that her husband didn't know what day her birthday was... I can handle the day being wrong, even though this day was open on their calendar for delivery. But on top of that, they needed my phone number and email, yet couldn't reach out to see if I still wanted the bouquet, being that they didn't have the main selling point for this package. Was delivered wrong day and wrong vase. After contacting them, they never responded to why is Was delivered the wrong day, but said they have it on their website that the vase may be substituted out if they don't have any of the origin, even though I never day this when ordering, I would have been ok with is if they would have contacted me to tell me that they didn't have the clear cube vase... they refunded be $17... I'm guessing the price of the vase, which should have been done without asking, but would not even send me the correct vase when back in stock. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND COUNTING ON THIS BUSINESS FOR DELLIVERING WHAT YOU PAY FOR, ON THE DAY YOU WANT... VERY BAD BUSINESS EDICATE, AND MAKES ME THINK THEY JUST BASICLY GIVE YOU WHAT THEY HAVE, WHENEVER THEY CAN DO IT. Very dissatisfied with this business and would not recommend to friends or family, if it's important to you. That the correct item you ordered gets delivered on that special date... go with someone else. This was not my first choice, however thr fiesy company was upfront and was told they couldn't deliver my item on saturday... Go with someone else for your flowers if possible!

Tip for consumers:

Go with someone else for your special day, this company isn't reliable, even though they have 2 different ways to contact you, and find out what you would like to do about the order not being correct

A day ruined for an ill sister and another sister w/children visiting from out-of-town
August 13, 2021

My sister had recent brain surgery, and another sister w/her children/grandchildren was visiting her for a few days. I (Purchaser) wanted to gift them both with a bouquet and placed the order on 7-19-21 w/special instructions to deliver on 7-20 and to pls. Call the recipient to provide a "window for delivery. At 6:36 p.m. my husband called my sister, who remained home to receive the flowers and she said "no delivery. On July 21 at 11:26 a.m. outgoing call to florist totaling 13 minutes, and 20 seconds: "Purchaser" called indicating she had requested that flowers be delivered on July 20, saying she had made this delivery request online, and after checking with sister, learned flowers were NOT delivered yesterday. "Purchaser" continued sharing with the "florist rep" that flowers were for ill sister, noting another sister and her family traveled a distance to visit ill sister and wanted to take the ill sister out for a bite during the day and did not want to "wait around" like they did the day before waiting for the flowers. "Purchaser" indicated to the "florist rep" that she told her sister she would get back with her after speaking to the "florist rep," and getting a more definitive time frame for delivery. "Florist rep" looked up "Purchaser's" order and initially gave a general response, like, "Yes, it shows the delivery should be made sometime today." "Purchaser" reiterated to "florist rep" what she had stated at the outset, that a whole day was wasted the previous day and requested she contact the "florist delivery person" for a better "delivery window." "Purchaser" was placed on hold and when "florist rep" returned, she indicated the "florist delivery person," said, "Delivery would be before or at 2 p.m. this day."
Wednesday, July 21,2021, at 12:47 p.m.: "Purchaser" called "recipient's sister," sharing she was told "delivery would be before or at 2 p.m. this day."
Wednesday, July 21,2021, at 4:22 p.m.: "Purchaser" received text from "recipient," indicating "Still no delivery."
Wednesday, July 21,2021, at 4:25 p.m., outgoing call to florist totaling 11 minutes and 51 seconds: "Purchaser" spoke with "florist rep" sharing the promised delivery time given in her last phone call was "delivery would be before or at 2 p.m. this day," noting the recipient has not received anything while expressing her irritation and anger at the unprofessional way the business is operating. "Florist rep" placed "purchaser" on "hold" and when she returned she apologized, saying the "florist delivery person" indicated the vehicle used for florist deliveries broke down. She then said the "delivery person" told her he "was five (5) minutes away from delivering the flowers to my sister's home.
Wednesday, July 21,2021 at 4:38 p.m.: "Purchaser" spoke with "recipient's sister," sharing "recipient's gift" would be delivered in 5 minutes.
Wednesday, July 21,2021, at 6:35 p.m.: "Purchaser" (who was at work) called her husband, asking husband to check with the "recipient"of the flowers to see if flowers had been delivered, as "Purchaser" was working. Husband spoke with "recipient" who indicated "no flowers were delivered."
Wednesday, July 21,2021 at 6:42 p.m.: Husband called "Purchaser" informing her that "recipient" indicated the flowers had NOT been delivered.
Wednesday, July 21,2021, at 7:17 p.m. outgoing call to "florist rep" totaling one minute and 23 seconds: "Purchaser" began to speak with "florist rep" noting she was feeling extremely angry because she had been told numerous times that the flowers ordered FROM Terry's Florist would be delivered, only to find that they had not been delivered. The "florist rep" hung up on "Purchaser."
Wednesday, July 21,2021, at 7:18 p.m. outgoing call to florist totaling 11 minutes and 7 seconds: "Purchaser" called florist again, asking for the name of "florist rep" ("Ana") and "Purchaser" then shared how she had been hung up on, providing "Ana" info on frustrations experienced early on with "Terry's Florist" – indicating that she was in continual contact with sisters and their family who stayed home two (2) full days waiting for Terry's Florist to deliver a floral arrangement for ill sister. "Purchaser" also shared there was no knock on their door or phone call from the florist regarding their vehicle breaking down. The "recipient" shared with "Purchaser Grebin" that the family even sat outside on the front porch anticipating the arrival of the delivery. Floral rep "Ana" put "Purchaser" on hold and returned saying the "florist delivery person" indicated he delivered the flowers at 5:23 p.m.
Wednesday, July 21,2021, at 7:50 p.m. outgoing call by "Purchaser" to "recipient" of flowers (3 minutes), indicating that "Purchaser" had just spoken with Terry's Florist rep, "Ana" who said, "florist delivery person" indicated he delivered the flowers at 5:23 p.m. "Purchaser" called the "recipient" indicated they have been waiting for the delivery in their home, noting there was no phone call, no knock on the door, and said the family had even sat outside on the front porch a bit waiting for the delivery. "Recipient" then asked, "visiting sister" to go look further…" Visiting sister" got back on the phone and indicated the flowers were placed outside of "recipient's gate entryway," leading to the front door, noting there was no way she would have found them unless I had called asking her to search further.
In summary: I am disputing payment to Terry's Florist and I am requesting that the payment to "Terry's Florist" by my credit card company not be processed for the following reasons:
In addition to "Purchaser's Timeline above, the fact that the flowers had been delivered, the "Purchaser" needed to continually follow up with the "florist reps" who in turn, received erroneous "delivery information" from the "florist delivery person. The request for delivery was one whole day late - meaning my family sat around for two whole days awaiting delivery.:
Wednesday, July 21,2021, at 11:26 a.m. outgoing call to florist by "Purchaser" received relayed message from "florist delivery person" to the "florist rep" that "flowers would be delivered Wednesday at or before 2 p.m." A difference of 3 hours and 23 minutes!
Thursday July 22,2021, at 12:30 p.m. outgoing call to florist by "Purchaser" totaling 2 minutes and 45 seconds: "Purchaser" spoke with "florist rep" asking to speak with "Terry" owner of the florist, and giving her my name. "Florist rep" came back after placing me on hold, indicating ‘"Terry" was in a meeting, and she would be happy to take my message and pass it along with my contact info to her. "Purchaser" stated she would be in a meeting until 3 p.m., asking "florist rep" taking message to note that "Terry" return my call anytime after 3 p.m.
Thursday, July 22,2021 at 5:18 p.m. outgoing call to florist by "Purchaser" totaling 3 minutes and 36 seconds: "Purchaser" spoke with "florist rep," asking to speak with "Terry" owner of the florist, and gave her my name. "Florist rep" put me on hold and came back saying she would transfer me. I was disconnected.
Thursday, July 22,2021 at 5:22 p.m. outgoing call to florist by "Purchaser" totaling 23 minutes and 55 seconds: "Purchaser" spoke with "florist rep" asking to speak with "Terry," providing my name, etc…I was placed on hold for quite a while and then was transferred to someone who asked me for my "Confirmation #' and put me on hold again. The last "florist rep" I spoke with indicated she wanted to know my "Confirmation #" and when I expressed my anger and said I was going to "stop payment" for this purchase, she indicated they would dispute me withholding payment. She also indicated I needed to get a picture of the flowers, sending it to her. Saying they would need to consider whether a refund was justified. Justified? I could not believe what I was hearing... I am a reasonable person and thought after hearing not only what inconvenience I had to experience, but my ill sister and my sister's family who was visiting her, I knew I would not only dispute the payment but would also take additional time to give potential customer's a reason NOT EVEN TO CONSIDER doing business with Terry's FLorist. In closing, "Purchaser" indicated how unprofessional this business is, indicating she would be posting a "poor review" on their website. "Purchaser also shared her disbelief that "Terry's Florist" could not find it within themselves to empathize with the challenges and poor experiences I was subjected to, and the loss of two full days of sharing quality time between my ill sister, and my visiting sister with her family. I hope this will save you from another bad experience. Margaret Grebin
