I'm a huge fan of the new Adidas Barricades. Most comfortable tennis shoe I've worn in years. Tennis Express had a good selection of styles in my (somewhat) unusual size 13.5). Ordering on the site was really easy, and delivery was fast (shoes arrived in 4 days). Can't ask for much more than that.
Placed an order at their website, filled all required fields including shipping address, decide to pay by paypal, they ship for the wrong address, contacted them at the same day asking to correct their mistake; costumer service say they can do nothing as their system automatically switches the address in paypal purchases. Wouldn't it be nice if they tell their costumer about it or even better if they don't require a shipping address in their website since it useless.
Within 5 minutes of placing my order, I asked Tennis Express to cancel the order as I did not realize its free shipping did not include products over 7 pounds. The customer service rep stated that tennis balls did not simply fly to my home, so they charged for shipping them (I didn't think things under 7# did either, but...). I again asked to cancel the order. The only response was an automated email saying they would respond. They didn't. Instead, after a day, they sent me an "order shipped" notice.
Tip for consumers:
The banner of Free Shipping is quite deceptive. If you order more than 7# of product, you pay high shipping charges.

I have purchased tennis balls, tennis racquet grips, and shoes from Tennis Express.
While waiting for an order to arrive (in which I was notified was en route) I realized it had been quite a while actually getting to my residence. So when I called the representative did a search and informed me that one of the items I ordered was unavailable, and the other would be delayed. When was someone going to let me know about this? No one seemed to care except me, the one who had paid and was supposedly waiting for an order that was not coming. I was quite annoyed and cancelled the order and any more emails from this site.
During the last 2 weeks I have ordered 12 pair of tennis sneakers. Besides from you, include Amazon and Zappos as well.
I ordered them on September 10. It is now the 21st. How am I supposed to remember from whence your order arrived? It would have been very easy for you to have included a pic of that which you sent me. CS needs improvement.
Your competitors have better pictures and more views of each item. Also, I emailed your customer service team with a question, but never got a response. At this point, it's too much of a hassle to return my item, but I'll avoid shopping on your website in the future.
I ordered a tennis racket and bag. I paid the extra for express shipping and got it two days after it was promised so I could've just got regular shipping and not paid the extra $25.00. Then when it arrived I never got the bag I ordered online. They did not charge me for the bag but did not alert me that it wasn't available when I ordered. I don't recommend this site unless you are not in a hurry to get your stuff and are willing to reorder.
I ordered 2 tennis racquets and filled out the proper form (stringing, grip size etc). I received an email saying that stringing instructions were not clear and to contact customer service. After 3 hours I finally reached a human. He was abrupt to the point of being rude. When I was finished repeating the instructions, the agent just hung up. No thank you or goodbye. The next day I again received the same email asking me to call customer service. This time I left my contact information. I received no return call. I finally used their live chat. It produced no reply. As this was a Christmas present, I became concerned and was ready to cancel my order and purchase elsewhere when I got an order shipped email. In the future, if I have to interact with customer service, I might seek another vendor.
The shoes were delivered in an acceptable amount of time but not to the address as requested. The individual for whom they were purchased received the package and it was meant as a Christmas gift. Not a major deal in this case but slightly annoying. I have no qualitative assessment as of yet, maybe after Christmas.
Received pair of Head shoes, very satisfied with shoes and delivery. When I ordered the shoes, it stated "free $25 gift card included with purchase. No gift card was included. Called customer service and they said that promotion ended at Christmas (not stated on website). Planned on using gift card to purchase back-up racquet, Will now buy from someone else.
A day after an online purchase I receive an email that said that some items that I bought were out of stock and no longer available through the manufacturer and this is the second time that this happens in this store. I think tennis express needs to upgrade its website to have better real time information.
In the same mail they offered a possible substitution, however, when the next morning I called customer service they abruptly said that it was not possible because they already sent the order. I am very disapointed with this "service".
I ordered two pairs of shoes in size 10 and got one pair in 10 and one pair in size 12. Not happy. I do not want to pay for the return shipping when tennis express messed up my order. I paid extra to have them shipped quickly and they came late.
Not happy with the demos. Delivery was great, but the demo strings were so dead I had trouble hitting with them and getting a good feel of the racquet. Waste of money
Prices were OK, but one of the 3 items I bought, never sent to me. No explains why. No rewards or a kind of compensation
Tried something new and failed. I guess my power and spin combination was to much for these strings. Had them loaded at 58 lbs. and hit with them for about an hour and then played a match. The strings were all over the place and I didn't feel any "pop" off of them especially on my serve. I am merely a recreational player with a 3.5 USTA rating who has only been playing for two years, but I will not go back to synthetic Gut anytime soon.

I purchased MENS HYPERCOURT TNS SHOES NAVY/SILVER for $89 from tennis express and the sole came out after 3-4 usage only. Will not recommend this seller. May be I got a very old products.
I purchased tennis string reels and when I got them they didn't package very well and the plastic on the reels were smashed. As a tennis stringer, it's an absolute nightmare to get the string out of the reel when the plastic on reel is cracked. And when buying it brand new I had to send it back.
I ordered two pairs, of size 11 by mistake, and was thinking I got it wrong, it would be too big because I never worn a size 11 shoe before, all my previous were either 10.5 or 10.
For reasons I can't explain, this size 11 wont even let my foot in. Just outright small. There must have been something wrong either with the sizing label or a design/production defect. Now I got two pairs of shoes I will never be able to wear.
I received my shoes 3 days after they were confirmed for delivery. UPS left them at my neighbors door, and that house is vacant. I finally received them, and 1 shoe was damaged. The insert on the left shoe is folded under by the toes. They were sent back today for an exchange.

I paid for extra for the express shipping and received the items 4 days later. I emailed customer service to get a refund on the shipping cost and I never heard from anyone. Will never purchase from them again.

These shoes are really heavy and stiff. My feet "fell asleep" while i was playing tennis. I would return if I could but they are already worn.
I ordered a used demo racquet for purchase. It arrived with the strings having numerous and significant fraying. Some strings are more than 50% worn through. This racquet cannot be played with until the strings are replaced. I anticipated used strings with the racquet but these are intolerable. Tennis Express should have notified me of the poor condition of this demo racquet and offered to replace the strings prior to shipment. Poor customer service.
First they cancelled my order and couldn't replace it. By the time I went in to do so myself, one of the items was no longer available. The second order they called just to verify. Luckily I answered and gave them my go-ahead. I guess they're more worried about protecting themselves from fraud than customer service for the real customers.
My experience with tennis express was a frustrating one. I placed an order by phone but did not receive the racquet until almost a month later. They told me after a few weeks that the racquet had by mistake shipped to GA (I live in NC) but would be shipped to me in 2 days from that time - ok, mistakes are made, so I didn't make a fuss.
However, in two days, instead of receiving the racquet, I received an email stating that delivery would be in another two days... In 2 days, another notice that it would be another 2 days.
I'm very happy with the racquet but disappointed in the service and the lack of interest from the company. I don't think the people there really cared.
Loved the colors and style, but the fabric was flimsy and there was no shelf bra, so I reluctantly returned this dress.
You forgot to apply the Labor Day discount on my order even though I put in the code. I had to call and still waiting for the credit post to my credit card.
The reason I ordered these pants was because they had an emblem on the pants by Fila. When I received them, there was no visible emblem, so I have returned them for a full refund. For $48 there should have been an emblem.
