Registering online and connecting was very easy. Telcan followed up to ensure everything was running smoothly. I wish we had known about this ips sooner
I joined telcan in agreement that they will not increase the price for two years. After 6 months they increased my internet by $7! When I talked to them why did this that, they claim that the main internet provider (Bell) increased the price and they were forced to increase my internet price as well. This doesn't make sense at all. This is bad business and it is scam. Other than that they internet is solid and customer service is reachable. My advise don't do business with pre paid internet services who but internet service from big companies and sell it to customers. Because they will not respect their agreement just like Telcan did to me. Avoid telcan
I have been with Telcan for some time now and as of recent have been in search of plans that better suit my budget given the stress higher food and energy costs. To be fair, I did reach out to Telcan and asked if they offered loyalty plans for long term customer? My answer was a flat out "No"!. I would have given them a 5 star but feel that customer loyalty is important to my as I am loyal to a fault when I find a company with few faults. Sure they could do better with more updated equipment offerings and their customer service has its issues but overall deserve 4 stars.
Love that I'm kept up-to-date through text and email. Setting up the internet was a breeze. We got the most basic plan, which is great for your average use, but sometimes lags during video calls.

The internet works fast enough, but I get about 3-5 brief outages per week. They last about 2 minutes each, but annoying when on live video calls

I really enjoy my internet service with Telecan, one & two times since I have it, it went crazy, cutting off my internet temporarily, but apart from that it is great, thank you Telecan.

Great service when it works, but it seems that every month there is a service disruption, with no service. I also wish I could change my payment date, but they won't allow it even with a prorated payment.

OUR HISTORY
Telcan began as a long-distance phone service provider founded in 1998 by 3 University of Waterloo students who did what engineers do best - find technical solutions to everyday problems.
The first problem we solved was how to provide businesses with dependable, affordable phone services. In 2004 we launched Callture.com, a provider of cloud business phone systems. In 2015 we launched oyemobile.com, a provider of prepaid international phone calls and international mobile top-up services.
Today, established telecommunications providers see a change in the Internet industry as a problem to overcome, but we see an opportunity to improve Internet services for Canadians.
