“Awesome App!”

What can I say, been using it for 3 months now and have a great experience with this app. Am not a computer literate, but this app has helped me to keep my kid safe in this crazy modern world full of weirdos. With this app, I can track every step he takes and allows me to pause his phone and even lock it. I recommend this app to every parent looking forward to keeping their kids safe. TeenSafe is a great solution! Thanks for you great help TeenSafe.

Teen Safe has merged into KidBridge. Teen Safe worked pretty well when monitoring my daughter (who is now 19). When I logged in, to monitor my 15 year-old son, the first thing they did was inform him that his phone was being monitored. Very PC company that doesn't want to infringe on your children's rights. Immediately cancelled. Avoid avoid avoid.

Teensafe wish I could leave a worse review. This app won't work and you won't be refunded I wasted my time and money on this. Buyers of Teensafe should beware this app won't work instead use the best by contacting Mount who gives you access to your desire target phone with just the phone number only. I used Mount and I'm very happy he gave me access to all activities on my wife's phone without providing the iCloud information just with the phone number.

Would love to leave a worse review on Teensafe

They get your credit card number and when you try to cancel through their website it does not process. When you realize they are charging you and call and try to cancel they cannot find you as a customer. When you dispute with your credit card they then can find you and send lies to your CC company saying they sent emails to confirm before charging. This is a scam company! Do not use!

Very sorry that you’re frustrated. We have millions of parents who have used our services so we are by no means a scam. If you’ve canceled there is no way we can keep charging your credit card. Please send me your email address and will check into this for you. You can email me at ruth.doering@teensafe.com.

I wish I read the reviews first. This worked the first day and it will no longer show newer info. I've e-mailed and called multiple times for them to keep giving instructions that don't work. Now they are saying it's a problem with the 2 factor authentication on the iPhones that they are working on. Apparently they've been "working" on it for a LONG time according to reviews. Looking for something new. This app sucks. Going to request a refund.

Amy,
Sorry your experience wasn’t successful. We continue to work on solving the issues affecting our service. What we do is very difficult and most other monitoring apps face similar challenges. Please let us know if you’ve had any issues with your refund. Email Ruth.Doering@TeenSafe.com

The app does not work. I primarily was using this app to obtain deleted text messages, but they would not appear and if they did, they were partial text messages which were unreadable. The app would not sync with phone and is not easy to navigate. There are much better choices out there that allow you to monitor the phone activity real time. I would not recommend this.

Thumbnail of user ruthd30

Greetings,
We’re sorry your experience was frustrating and incomplete. From the challenges you mention you may be an iPhone user as the Android monitoring is in real time. Apple has upgraded their securing measures which makes it more difficult for us to provide the best monitoring services.

TeenSafe works well for many parents and others understandably are frustrated. Again, sorry your experience was not satisfactory. The TeenSafe team

So the app claims to be able to recover deleted text messages... This is from thier support:

"Thank you for contacting KidBridge Customer Support.

If the teens is deleting the messages while away from the home those message will not pick up in a backup. The only messages that will be retrieved will be if they are deleted while in the home under the same WiFi connection as the computer the program is installed on."

I don't know about you, but my kid doesn't wait until he gets home to delete messages. If you cant recover all the messages, don't make the blanket statement that you can. This is on thier website:

"SMS & Deleted Messages
Gain constant access to your child's SMS, iMessages, and deleted messages."

I tried for weeks to get a single connection to get the device's back ( been in IT for almost 20 years), and the process was just horrible to follow, and to work consistently.

Save your time, and money and find another service. Ever since Teensafe became Kidbridge, it went downhill.

I am a 16 yr old girl that has teen safe on my phone. It is literally the worst thing in my opinion. My dad has taken the App Store off of my iPhone because he doesn't trust me what so ever. They say they are doing this to keep me safe but honestly that's not how it feels. I feel like I can't do anything and all the restrictions are just like a challenge for me to see what loopholes I can make. If you put this on your teens phone they are probably gonna think you don't trust them

If your child has an iPhone, do not waste your money on this! I called their customer support for assistance with the issue and Zhazha sent me an email that "had instructions to fix the problem" and all it was, was a link to their help page (which had no instructions on how to correct the issue). Apparently, Apple iCloud views this site a security breach of some sorts and will lock out your child's iCloud account. Do not... I repeat, Do not waste your time or money on this service. The only positive outcome is I was able to receive a refund.

Barrett,

We totally understand your frustration in dealing with the Apple iCloud account lockout issue. We have resources working on this issue but as you can tell Apple is not making it easy for our industry. It is difficult to determine the exact cause, as various factors seem to contribute to account lockouts and they can happen instantly or can be delayed by a day or more. Moreover, not every customer who performs the same pattern of actions is affected in the same way.

While detecting the precise cause is difficult the issue is industry-wide and affects all monitoring services.

Again, we do understand your frustration and we continue to try and find a workaround to fix the issue. Best, the TeenSafe team

I have used TeenSafe in the past with no issues and now it is worthless. I have had to change my daughter's Apple password so many times that I have lost count. As soon as I do it, the next day, the site locks me out again. I have worked with customer service several times to fix this and nothing has worked. I'm cancelling my account and looking elsewhere for a monitoring service. I have wasted enough time and money with TeenSafe.

Ruth D. – TeenSafe Rep

We understand that you are frustrated. Our team is working long hours to resolve this industry-wide issue affecting the successful monitoring of iPhones. We do not have this issue with Android.

Since early March we have been reporting several instances of Apple locking iCloud accounts. Apple locks iCloud accounts with no patterned or reason. They can lock instantly, or on one of several locking cycles which range from seconds to days. This is an industry-wide issue affecting everyone.

Apple followed the threats by hackers to wipe millions of iCloud accounts and the CIA documents publication by WiliLeaks about critical iOS vulnerabilities. These security measures provoked repeat Apple iCloud account locks of the majority of iOS devices users.

This is an industry-wide issue, not just TeenSafe. Our team is working hard to resolve and is confident in finding a fix shortly.

Don't waste your time getting tangled up with this useless software. It promises to track website activity, but doesn't. Their representative said it doesn't work for current system software on an Android. What the heck? When I told them to cancel my account, the rep said I could not get a refund because "I had seen data." RIGHT. Guess what TeenSafe? I'm going to broadcast this review as many times as I can.

Greetings and sorry you are having issues. For the newest Android OS 6.0 or higher, Google does not allow access to any Internet History to any company. Operating system updates aren’t in our control and can affect our service offerings.

In our Terms of Use it states that any use of a full access paid account by a user, no full or partial refund will be issued. That being said we do not want frustrated customers. Please send us your email and we will resolve for you. Best, the TeenSafe team.

Did the trial for a day then thought it wasn't working with the trial so purchased the $14.95. Wasted money. It makes your child change their password EVERYTIME you login to Teensafe. It's obviously a problem they acknowledge, yet continue to advertise service they don't deliver. Try something else... stay away from Teensafe until they fix it or stop advertising for services they can't deliver.

It never worked right off the bat. Before even logging in to my daughters phone it just kept giving me an error message. So Im being charged for absolutely nothing. When I call the help number no one ever answered. Ever. When sending email, again, I just got anerror message that it could not be sent. I suppose I will have to cancel my credit card to get them to stop charging me for their scam. Its a waste of time and money

TeenSafe and it's business practices are intolerable! First of all, the app doesn't not work as advertised. It rarely linked to the phones to provide up to date information. Secondly, they continue to charge your credit card even after cancelling the service via customer service AND email attempts several times. I had to get the credit card company involved, but they continue to charge! They are a ripoff and would not recommend getting into the service in the first place. I would rate TeenSafe a "0" if I could!

Company says free trial but then charges you immediately. They were not able to pull up my child's data due to glitches on their end. Site won't let you log in without disabling security on the Apple account. Said they are trying to work on the issue. Then they expect you to pay without providing you with any information. Asked to speak with a supervisor. Says it takes two days for them to return call.

Very sorry that you are having these issues. I spoke with our customer support team and they need your email to look at your account and see what is happening. If you send me your email ruth.doering@teensafe.com they will contact you, if they haven’t already.

1) The only way you would not have received the 7-day trial is if you upgraded to a full access paid account or if you used a pre-paid credit card for payment.

2) As for the second issue, Apple changed the two-factor authentication again this week and it takes us a couple of days to figure out the changes and upgrade our software. The team let us know it will be resolved today.

Our customer support team works very hard and am sorry your experience was frustrating. But contact us and we will resolve.

The service just does not work well for Apple products. It simply does not work as advertised at this point. I was very hopeful that this service would be a solution to keeping a protective eye on my kids. After numerous updates and time spent with customer support, I requested a refund for 1-month of the service and was denied. It really is unfortunate because I wanted to use the service long term, but now will start searching for an alternative solution. Sorry Teen-Safe, you're just not ready for prime time yet.

We just issued an updated version with new features. We’re sorry you had issues getting it running. When Apple issues operating system or iCloud updates our team works very hard to update our software as soon as possible. There are times when this takes longer than we like and the software doesn’t work as designed. We currently have many parents successfully using our iPhone version of both TeenSafe Monitor and TeenSafe Control. In our Terms of Use it states that any use of a full access paid account by a user, no full or partial refund will be issued. I encourage you to contact them again if you indeed did not get the data from your child’s phone. Best, the TeenSafe team

Wish I read these reviews... when signing in to iCloud to monitor an iPhone, monitoring works for a day (that's only IF the iPhone is backed up, otherwise it shows 0 texts). ICloud prompts child to reset password, which won't let teensafe in. Vicious circle of getting nowhere. AND, you can sign up for a free trial, BUT will only show you limited info and makes you buy the membership to see more than 3 texts. Once you buy, if you don't cancel on time (you HAVE to call to cancel) they will not refund your money!

Greetings,
We understand you’re frustration in dealing with the Apple iCloud account lockout issue. We do have a full team of development resources working on this issue.
It is difficult to determine the exact cause, as various factors seem to contribute to account lockouts and they can happen instantly or can be delayed by a day or more. Moreover, not every customer who performs the same pattern of actions is affected in the same way.

While detecting the precise cause is difficult, what is clear is that the issue is industry-wide and affects all monitoring services.

Regarding the trial, we do require a call to cancel so that we can verify that it is a parent canceling, not a teen. And in our terms of use it states that if you download data we won’t refund that month as the service has been used.

Again, sorry it didn’t work for you but our goal is to provide options for parents to protectively monitor their tweens and teens and at times issues come up that are out of our control. Best, the TeenSafe team

Teen safe does not deliver what they advertise! With this service you cannot see deleted texts and not even most of regular texts. Service worked great until last March. Started having issues with Apple ID lockout when signing in to Teensafe. Have called repeatedly and I get the same answer... We're working on it. It takes time. This has been going on for 9 months and still no fix. They have offered a credit but I would prefer the service work as promoted. Problem is most 3rd party services are having same issue with Apple. Teensafe won't fess up if they will ever get it fixed but after 9 months I'm really starting to wonder?

Teen safe control ap is a complete bust! I spent hours working through bugs to get this installed on my teen's phone only to realize she can delete it from their phone settings by simply going to device management, selecting stop managing device and entering her phone password. When Apple updated to iOS 10.2 this became an issue and we are working hard to resolve. Feedback from other parents is that monitoring is the safety condition for the privilege of smartphone use. Our TeenSafe Android version does not allow the teen to remove. Thanks for being a digital safety savvy parent. Best, the TeenSafe team
