Picture on website depicts what I took to be a full sized lipstick. What I got for $8.50 is 1 inch long and 1/2 inch wide. It is the size of a sample. I also did not know the brand is made in China or I would not have purchased.
I have ordered so many products from tarte in the hope that the products would work on my skin tone. They are definitely not inclusive to all skintones. As proven by there holiday release of 2023. None of the face palettes out of the three worked for my skintone. I will not purchase anything else from this brand, it's obvious to me they don't care about people with darker skin complexions. New Year, not giving my money to companies that are known for these types of practices. Will shop with more inclusive brands from this day forward.
I bought several of the Lip Plumps and just found out that only half the product shown is available. There is no way to pump the rest out of the tube. Customer service told me to use a lip brush to access the remaining product. That COMPLETELY defeats the purpose of this design. I was on "chat" for over 30 mins trying to get clarification. NEVER AGAIN. Bad design - bad customer service. I'll be writing this review on every website I can. I don't want others to be deceived. Also - wouldn't let me connect t with a manager, although I asked more than once.
Beware they will wipe out your loyalty points that you rightfully earned through your purchases. When you contact them to ask for the points to be restored they refuse. I don't know how they think treating their customers like this will create loyal customers. I won't be buying anything else from them. Do better Tarte!
Ordering from their website used to be easy and reliable, but with my last order that got "lost in transit" I'm still waiting for my refund and it's been more than a month! I now have a feeling that they decided to just start scamming people and never really send the products ordered. Also, beware of their CS support. They would lie and tell you that they've already refunded, when they clearly haven't. Scumbags! AVOID THIS ONLINE STORE!

Peach and a shaper sponge - a very simple order on Aug 16. Today, Aug 28,2 weeks later, I'm still waiting. When I contacted the company today I was told to wait another 3 days. And then "they will help me find a quick solution to my problem". My request for cancellation and reimbursement was denied.
I will not need this product anymore if and when it arrives. I need it now.
I've been in the beauty industry since 2004. I've been licensed since 2009. I've had a PRO discount with Tarte since 2011. By December 2022 I stopped receiving my industry discount. When I reached out via their customer service I was informed it was due to my e-mail being unsubscribed, which "allegedly" was remedied. When I contacted them a month later without receiving my PRO discount again, I was told the issue would be moved up the ladder and provided a code on their end. When I went to purchase my products the code was only for 20% off. Once again reaching out to customer service I was told certain products coupons were not applicable towards. When customer service tried to tell me it was because "x product" was not discounted, I let them know that was untrue as it always had been in the future and if that were the case the coupon code wouldn't work on it. The problem is they refuse to provide me with the accurate code. Which for the last 12 years has been 40% off. Instead of issuing me the correct one for checkout, they wanted me to purchase my items with the incorrect code, wait 1-3 days for them to ship it, contact them again and wait for a price adjustment. Listen, I've been in this industry for too damn long, wearing too many hats, for too many companies, for too many brands, with too much insider knowledge to know this is one of the most EGREGIOUS forms of customer service I have ever encountered. I've been on the backend of these situations myself, and for Tarte employees to be this vague, this ill-informed, this poorly directed in protocol, to prompt me to write a disparaging review, you know it's bad. Get your act together, provide succinct straight-forward responses to the questions I ask, do not leave the customer having to service themselves, and be conscious of the fact that poor interactions leave a very lasting impression. I will not move forward with Tarte in any capacity until, if ever, they get their act together once more.
I've been excited to try tarte. Hear so many good things. Finally ordered. Everything is SOOOO SMALL... looks bigger in the pictures online. Also I got a travel size foundation which I knew was going to be small. But when I squeezed it to get some out literally less then half of the container was empty and just air. Like I understand needing a tiny bit of space to get the product out. But there was only like 1/4 of the bottle full of foundation. IF THAT. They are ripping people off. Very disappointed. Will not order again. Just because of that.

Received a used empty maracuja juicy lip plump. That's Gross! First I received someone else's order then they were out of stock of what I wanted so they did refund me. Weeks later I received used lip color. Pathetic service.
I purchased a foundation that ended up not working for me. I sent the item back, following Tarte's instructions. I never received a refund. When I emailed asking about it, I received BS responses telling me to contact my bank. Irritating, fake cheerful, crap replies, and they kept my money. I'll never order from them again!
Although I liked the products the first time I ordered them it s been now two times that the company failed to deliver them in Greece. Unacceptable, the reason this time is that I ordered 5 items and I couldn't have ordered more than 3 so the parcel went back. I don't understand the company should have informed me…thanks again tarte. Terrible costumer and delivery service
I loved their cosmetics but they just lost a customer with their poor customer service. I received an email telling me I can complete a survey if I want to stop points from expiring. Fair enough, so I went to the website and no survey to be found. Once asking in the chat where I can complete the survey, I was told it wasn't on there anymore and I would need to make a purchase. If this was the rule, I would understand but that's not what the options were. They kept sending me the same info I received in the email. But wouldn't understand that I didn't want to make a purchase at the time. Just a scam.
I just needed to vent that their shipment sucks! I ordered at the end of November and it says I will not get my order until January! I only ordered 2 small items. They've done this before and by the time I got my order, my lipsticks were melted. And then it took forever and a day to get a replacement on that. Never order from these guys directly, no matter how tempting the discounts are. So not worth it... They must be shipping on a snail, that is blind.
I would have given no star if I could. I purchased a very expensive bamboo foundation brush. The entire hair piece cane out of its bed. You can tell there is not much glue to keep It down. Customer service said we are sorry but you need to take it to where you bought it. A joke
I ordered foundation, which is not cheap, I think around $36. They sent me a smashed up lipstick jammed in a wad of crumpled tissue paper. When I purchased from them previously, their products were carefully wrapped, but not this one! It was a mess, and not what I ordered; I don't even wear lipstick, so I called customer service. They were unsurprised and unapologetic. They said they would refund my purchase cause they didn't even have the product I bought. No offer to help me find a similar product as a replacement, no attempt to make up for what they did, which certainly didn't look accidental, and still no apology! Don't buy from these crooks, they do NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS!
Absolutely terrible customer service team, make it impossible to change an order even immediately after it was placed and leave you waiting forever for a response.
I have bought this product several times, just because there are not many other options for NON waterproof liquid eyeliners. Every time I buy it, it's great for about a week and I am happy. Then, inevitably, the ink starts coming out in huge globs and runs into my eye, painfully and uncomfortably smearing my makeup and making me rinse my eyes and reapply everything. I have been applying liquid eyeliner for years, and have achieved pretty nice, thin winged lines with other brands of liner. However, when they are sold out or only available in waterproof, I opt for the maneater and hate myself for doing so every time. Do yourself a favor and do not buy this overpriced messy product.
Answer: I just had this problem and I am currently speaking with a Tarte Customer Service Manager. They will claim that they didn't charge the card and they'll send you an email confirming that. What you can do is file a dispute case with your bank. It will take 30-90 days. Tarte is a horrible horrible company.
