I had a very nice purchasing experience in taobao, since all the items here are below the market price with good quality and the delivery time was faster than expected. Several payment methods are allowed, much easier and faster to get your refund once you returned items within 7 days. It is really a trusted website.

Absolutely appalled by platform's unwilling to punish criminals, including behaviors 1. Sending empty parcel 2. Counterfeiting video evidence 4. Cuss words etched inside parcel with packaging knife and 5. Defective and not as described product from the same seller in another order. 64000 CNY was the order amount. I strongly advise against interacting with this platform, and I am closing my account despite being more than 6 years with this platform!

Only tried to buy from Taobao overseas in last 5 months. Lost my parcel at very first shipping. Then 4 times air freight, lost at last time.
So 40% chance to lost the parcel, taken months to chase the refund.

Tip for consumers:
If you know Chinese, read product reviews, they are very helpful.
Freight— not reliable at all!

So the site itself is defective. If they do not send you a mobile verification text for sign up you just simply can't create an account. You would think you could access some support channel for this clear defect in their system but no in order to contact any form of support you have to have an account. So by design it's a failure.

Taobao is the worst online shopping platform ever! Zero accountability. The vendor mailed to the wrong address, admitted the mistake in the beginning and promised to mail again to the right address, then changed mind and lied. Taobao customer service is very inhuman, the service platform is completely a crap. You submit the complaint, nobody treated it, then it expired; then you submit again, again, and again. Every time the agent chat with you, that person does not know what happened or got wrong information, you have to repeat your story again, again, and again…. It's a dark underground world, complete chaos, many scams. I have not idea how it came into existence in the first beginning.

Tip for consumers:
Before you pay, make sure the vendor is accountable (ship, refund, no mistakes, etc.), you cannot get any help from taobao customer service for anything--not sure why it exists.

Ordered tv cabinet incl. Coffee table. Arrived only tv cabinet. They just think they can cheat to only send tv cabinet because customer is desperate to have the cabinet, and not sending back the bundle. Not the first time. The TV cabinet ist basically fully damaged. RUBISH. NO QUALYTY, NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. They even dont bother to answer/reading the complain in Chat. VERY BAD SELLER. Worst experience. AVOID!

I purchased inline skate shoes hello kitty for my daughter and paid full cost with shipping after two days they sent email asking to pay more for shipping which double cost of what I purchased, I asked them to cancel my order and tell now waiting for refund, but no response although, the money held by PayPal but till now not received the refund

Ordered a walking and talking doll for my niece as a present for christmas (placed order 14 December) 24 December order status says return to sender -unsuccessfuk delivery. My mom didnt even received a cal from them and no email received as well why and what happened to the order. Now i am still waiting when they are going to refund me mg money Peso 1,900 more or less. Ruined the child's christmas - and very poor customer service.

I bought 藏奇紫花地丁透皮抑菌膏 which is made in JiAn, JiangXi, China from Taobao.com.
First batch with 3 bottles was good effect, but once I bought second time, the second batch with 6 bottles was to come from very bad quality. To be compared, colour, smell, effect are very different, and made my skin allergy as well. I stop using them right away.
I am disappointed with its services, I have kind heart to order from them, how did they provide such bad product to its customer? I think I will never order products which will be directly shipped from China again. I am afraid of.
Very sorry for such unpleasant issue happening.

I bought this land monocular from this Tababo in November 2030, which claimed that they developed the instrument with Johns Hopkins University in July 2020. This is a throughaway garbage. The monocular looks nice from outside but although it enlarges distant objects the focus in non existent so what you see is just a big blob.
I can see a car parked about 100 feet away but cannot read the license plate but ehich I could do with a cheap binoculars.
I paid US $ 59 for this garbage. Stay away from this falsely advertised product.

I NEVER write any bad comments on social media, but the recent service that i had from taobao seller is really a wake up call. Very very bad customer service, they basically don't care about your problem, when they are the one created the problem. At the end, loosing money is the only option. They denied everything, very good in arguing. I was furious and told them i am going to post bad comments on them, the customer service said go ahead, we can manage it, we dont care, and we are not afraid. I wonder how they got so many good comments and high rating, ALL FAKE!

Bad customer service. Items always go missing. The custoner service agents are very good at passing people from one agent to another agent so that your problem never gets solved.

If possible, I would like to give no star for this shop. Is a SUCK platform, I ordered a few books and they never come to me for 5 months. And the customer service () is another freaking bad response, which will only repeating the same answer without actually solving my problem (I have been asking for my package for 3-4 months, never solved). If you (Taobao) cannot handle oversea delivery, just quit, wasting my time!

Worst experience in my life.
Items purchased on 5th December, during time of payment for freight, they promised 14-28 days, but already almost 50 days still yet to receive

I wrote to taobao about fraudulent charges on my gift cards. They did nothing about the fraudulent charges except block messages from me.

Explanation: By January 12, the seller must send 100 codes. I only received 50 verification codes. I opened a dispute, but the seller closes it. Now my Buyer Protection has expired. (((

I paid via paypal only to receive an email an hour later to say they could not ship those goods to my country. Other websites can do it - why can't they; Including one of their sister sites, I might add. When trying to get my money back, am told 3-5 days. I smell horse puckey. Take your money, earn interest on it, then return it. If they have done it to me, how many others are there? Nice little earner for them.

I am writing from Australia because I understand that Taobao sell animals online and then ship live animals through the post. Some of the animals have become very sick or died when they have been posted in cages.

To me, this is extremely cruel and unacceptable. These animals have feelings and suffer greatly when you sell and mail them to your customers.

Please don't support this company until they stop this cruel practice!

We ordered a product which the seller never had the intention of selling. The seller lied about having shipped the product through the taobao website and when we contacted the seller through the taobao website, we were told to wait by the seller and then cut off immediately from reaching the seller again. Taobao set up a system which is a hotpot of dishonest sellers. Everyone is strongly advised to boycut taobao because it rewards theft.

I bought several items in September 2018, I haven't received any of the items. I called the customer service, they said somebody would take care of it and call me back, after more than a month, they never called me back, and the items are still on their way, today is March 7th, 2019. They lied to us that you should receive your item in two to three weeks.

This is going to be very lengthy and you should read it thoroughly only if you're seriously considering buying something on Taobao. So i ordered a bunch of stuff on taobao, totaling probably around $3000 CAD. These small parcels were shipped from each individual sellers (These sellers were legit domestic sellers) to this warehouse that Taobao outsourced, and at the warehouse they were separated into three larger parcels to be shipped over sea.

After about half a month, they claim they've lost one of my large parcels in the warehouse, and they're only willing to refund me $400 CAD for it (Parcel worth over $1500). I began negotiating with customer service, which was like hell because this company doesnt centralize anythingm they outsource their shipping provider and shipping company (Yes, one shipping provider the other is the shipping company) so I had to go to different customer service people describing what happened over and oevr again, until finally they've agreed to pay me back in full. Plot twist, a day later they claim they found my parcel and its expedited, so it should be arriving in Canada anytime now. I was super happy, only a few days later to find out that parcel wasnt even mine, they gave me the tracking number for someone else's order (Coincidentally, someone who also lives in the Toronto area). I went to the shipping provider's customer service and they confirmed that all the shipping details doesnt match, the address, name, phone number, and even the contents of the parcel don't match (I ordered some model kits and this parcel was a musical book), so she said let her look into it and asked me to check again the next day. The next day I went back and she started saying that the parcel has been delivered and its mine, ignoring all the evidence (Those that she sent me the night before) that I provided. So there you go, my experience with TAOBAO is absolutely $#*!, a incompetent Amazon wannabe that cant even straignten up their customer service department. This entire process spanned over one and a half month, and I'm tired of it. I'm in the process of arguing for my money back, but who knows if they'll give it back. Come to think of it, this entire "Parcel recovered" thing maybe was just a plot to put the blame on me. If you're considering buying something from TAOBAO thats expensive, trust me, don't do it. It's not going to be worth the time, effort, and risk. Best of luck.

I used to buy a lot of items though taobao agent but recently my last 2 orders, not that the previous ones were fine, I had such a bad experience i would not recommend any one buy from them. They charge you 10 % for their service but they dont provide any service, they make mistakes you pay, the seller makes mistake u pay, the worst service ever, stay away from them!

If I read the review earlier here I shouldn't get con... yes same happen to me received item totally not the one in the product picture when talk to seller, seller ask me to return... u send me item that not what you show it means cheating and yet taobao agent won't help and take responsible for dishonest seller... which mean u open a website and allow your seller cheat the buyer without taking any action which mean you are the same... cheater

Really shifty products such as shop name robot Go. They will give u promise u ridiculous features and a 5 year exchange warranty and lifetime repair warranty. Product arrives 1 month late with missing accessories. Another 1 month for accessories. Then u will find out item is completely different from advertised1000 man faulty battery instead of *******mah battery. Item completely damaged and faulty. When u approach seller they will claim that battery problem I man made. Not only is exchange warranty not available, repair warranty is also not available. They will beg u to bear with item and keep it. No refund exchange or repair nothjng taobao platform will ignore ur concerns. And few hundred dollars gone. That's taobao for u.

Simply needs to stay away form this site.if we are purchasing out of China and if seller sent wrong item they don't even responsible to refund or send replacement! They just tell you to return item with and paid by buyers! They even changes listing photo's when they notice it is there error! CLASSIC CHINESE SITE! CHEAT AND MAKE MONEY!
