The high end Loomis NRX Rod that I ordered ($525) snapped in half in the first week of use bringing in a small bass. I called TD and explained the issue and they referred me to Loomis for the warranty issue. It cost me an additional $40 to ship the broken rod back to them and two weeks to wait for a replacement to be dropped off. In my opinion, TD should have replaced this rod no questions asked given the circumstances. I wasn't overly thrilled with this experience and I'm not sure how comfortable I feel buying high end gear there. I want to love this place because it's in NJ and the store has an impressive inventory...

I bought a Daiwa Tanacom electric reel through Tackle Direct. They ran a special promotion that included a free spool of braided line with the purchase on an electric reel. Not only was the price really fair, but the free line made it a steal of a deal. They not only included the line but they spooled the new reel with the braided line by a professional.
