“BUYER BEWARE”

Went to one of there seminars/vacation traps. Spent $5000 plus paid an additional $1600 for maintenance fees. Over a 5 year period and to this date have not been able to receive a vacation were they told me they have places. Trinidad and tabago, nope. Florida near Disney, some but not available when I wanted to to. Niagra Falls. Yeah they have places there, 2 hour drive I was told. Imagine going to niagra falls and having to drive 2 hours to get to the falls/casinos etc. they 2 hours back. These are places I go for vacation and they either didn`t have any thing in the area or it was not available or so far a drive it`s not worth the using there vacation plan. The bottom line the contract was read and explained to me. They just left out the most important parts. The sales rep. Told us it was her first day and we were her first customers. They use pressured power sales. You must take the plan on that day at that time or you will lose out and cannot receive this offer ever again according to the sales rep and her female manager. Save your money. It`s cheaper booking with a travel agency. Sundance vacations are a bunch of vacation pushers. The company reps who ansew the phone when I called to complain were arrogant. Know for turning your words around to fit there side of the story. 5 years not one vacation. I am researching finding i`m not the only one who has these problems with sundance. I am collecting names, addresses and phone numbers for a class action suet against sundance vacations. I want a full refund and most who I talked to are saying they want there money back too plus interest and legal fees.

Tip for consumers:
Go to a real travel agency with promos and real prices.

Products used:
entered a contest in willow brook mall new jersey and they also use a win a car contest. you wont win a car but will get a letter telling you, you get a free vacation but they fail to inform you that there is prossesing fees of over $300 plus and they use your credit card to get auto payments. you`ll still get the short end of the stick. Save your money go threw a real travel agency. there quality homes are not a nice as they say and many from what ive read are run down and neglected.

I entered a contest to win a car. I was told about a free cruise. What was not brought up is the fees that follow. We decided to check out there seminar. We signed up for a vacation package 10 1 week vacations for $5000. One year later they told me I had to pay maintenance fees. We tried to book a week but was told the place we wanted was not available on our date. We talked to them prior to sign up about the caribbean, because that`s where my wife is from. We were told they have places in the caribbean. When we tried to book a week there, we were told they do not have places in or near Trinidad Tabago. Ok we awhile later we wanted to go to niagra falls. They said year we have a place up there. So we arranged for our week off they when we went to book, They woman informed us it`s only a 2 to 3 hour drive to the falls from there house. We woudl have to drive 4 to 5 hours both ways To get to the casino, restaurants, falls etc. This was no good. We ended up staying at the Senica Casino Hotel over looking niagra falls.
Bottom line. 5 years to pay off $5000 plus paid $1600 in maintenance fees. A few months later after completing the final payments they continue to take monthly maintenance fees. So we had our bank stop them from being paid. They some arrogant woman call me and complain about me stopping there fees and I would not recieve any vacantions until we catch up with the rear fees. We have yet to date get a vacation from Sundance Vacations and they refuse to return our money. If I could give a SCORE or 0 that`s what they would get.
PS was not told about the maintenance fees til 1 year after!

I would like to share the terrible experience I've had with this company. I have unfortunately been a member since 2015, and this year was the first opportunity I had to try to use my package. I was very disappointed to find that there were zero properties in the state we are planning to vacation to. The closest states (Vermont and Maine) had one available property and some 2 room run-down looking cabins, respectively. I realize it was a mistake of youth and naivety to originally sign on for this contract, but I had hoped to eventually get to actually use the package. Honestly, I just want to cancel the contract as I feel their promises of 4-5 star luxury condos is a gross misrepresenation of what they actually offer. When trying to cancel over the phone, I was sent from Sundance to Travel Advantage Network to Tri State Financial back to the original line and was told I could not be helped with cancellation until my loan was paid in full. How is that helpful? I thought maybe I could reason with them and asked to keep the weeks I had already paid for and just stop future payments for a product I won't end up using and just cut my losses, but I was told that wasn't possible. She did offer to decrease my interest rate, but unfortunately that has nothing to with my initial complaint. If the best I can do now is share my negative experience and warn people against using this company, or if I have to lose money speaking with a lawyer about consumer rights and misrepresentations in contracts, so be it.
