I don't know why Stitch Fix is getting a low rating. I did not end up purchasing items. However, I was able to try on a variety of pieces and learn about their business model. It is very streamlined and easy to use. When I didn't end up buying anything, I was refunded the $20 styling charge. The whole experience was seamless and personal...as advertised. I will try them again when I'm ready to put the time in. Thanks Stitch Fix.

I've used Stitch Fix for about three years. I've added some great, well-fitted pieces to my wardrobe. Generally I keep at least 3-4 of the five items. Occasionally the box is a miss but most fixes are spot on. Clothing quality has been consistently good. I like being able to pause and schedule for later in the year as needed. Styles were appropriate for me and my age. I'm an above average size gal and the pieces they select make me feel feminine and stylish, not frumpy. I've purchased jeans, dresses, work pants, sweaters, blouses/tops, blazers and casual items. Seems like many previous items also match newer ones, which I love. My experience is my stylist listens to what I like and want. Overall happy with prices, quality, service and style. Have recommended to family and friends.

Looking at these reviews, I must be lucky or haters gonna hate. I have had no issues with Stitch Fix. Sure, some items might not be up to standard for the price or perhaps don't fit. I even encountered the cheap shoe problem. Here's the deal - not one of the problems required any real effort on my part to resolve, and Stitch Fix was always responsive. Problem items were exchanged, returned or a credit given. Cost me nothing extra - hell, the postage is paid on the return items. Perhaps it's the approach - you get back what you put out. There isn't anything I don't like about this service. Great clothes, fast and courteous service, and stylists that get my taste (mind you, it took a couple of boxes to get my vibe down but that's only if you're providing feedback). Keep doing what you're doing Stitch Fix.

I love this online store. I let them them know that usps delivered my package damaged and they sent me another one to make up for someone else's mistake without asking. Thank you so much stitchfix!

I started getting stitch fix about a year and a half ago. I get boxes every 3 to 6 months. The quality is great. I have consistently used the same stylist and typically love most of what they send. I can't often find things I like in stores and most of my favorite pieces i own came in a stich fix box. I would recommend to anyone to busy to shop.

I have received multiple orders and have been satisfied with everything I got. I have an opportunity to select before they send it or be surprised. I have done both, with excellent results. Even when I have had to return something or needed more time to pay, it was simple and easy.

I have purchased from Stitch Fix a handful of times and decided to just to try Wantable. I received 1 box from wantable and sent everything back. The materials if the clothes felt cheap, the prices were far more than what the quality of some of the garments seemed to be and they did not match my style AT ALL. I promptly returned to Stitch Fix and purchased a sweater and a pair of pants and scheduled another Fix to be sent to me. I am wearing the sweater and pants today and I LOVE them! In my opinion, Stitch Fix is the better option in terms of quality and price.

My stylist is great with variety and matching pieces. Please give accurate measurements for a great fit!

I should probably write several reviews but...their customer service has consistently been excellent and my stylist listens to what I request and does her best to comply. I HATE to shop and have a hard time finding good fits/styles - when I signed up I gave measurements and indicated styles etc... they nailed it on the first try. I think I kept EVERYTHING in that box and since then I usually keep 2-3 items from each new fix. I've also found several styles that look good on me that I would never have thought I could wear until Stitchfix sent them to me. My family is thrilled that I am looking much more put together and polished - and I like knowing I look good.:-) Thank you stitchfix folks!

Kinda new at this but have received 3 orders so far... one order I sent all items back it was easy process, bag supplied for return already addressed and paid... easy peezy...
Just got new order and loved it all... little more pricey but we are paying for convenience...
Also when I was late returning 2nd order I just sent them email and they gave me extra days to review...
So definitely communication is key... Great service so far and love the clothing...

Unlike others that provide similar online services, you can pause your subscription altogether or choose to get your fixes monthly, bimonthly, quarterly, etc. They have options to fit everyone's needs. You can also go on the Stitch Fix website and shop some of the items they carry and add them to your next order or purchase them right then. And when you are completing your style assessment they include example photos with each option so you know you are actually selecting the style that best matches your preferences, as opposed to just selecting the description you think is right and hoping you'll actually get something you can use. After each shipment, you rate each individual piece and tell them what specific areas did not fit right and how, and if the price was too high, too low, or just right, so they can use it to provide a more personalized experience moving forward. In addition to providing this outstanding, individualized service, they also have the customer service to match. I reached out to them one time after they had already received the payment for my latest fix, but money was a bit tight and I really couldn't afford to get through until my next check after it had come out of my account. Without hesitating they returned the full amount that had been paid to them, never asked me to return the items first, never tried to make me commit to a future payment date, and never hassled me one time for the money I owed them. They gladly gave me my money back and let me pay it when I was able to do so without putting myself and my family in a bind. That is going above and beyond for your customers, and I have no doubt I'll go the rest of my life and never find service even comparable to what I received from Stitch Fix.

I tried stitch fix. Wanted a change went to wantable went back to stitch fix then tried short people. Went back to stitch fix. Then tried runway rent clothes. Stitch fix is by far the best of all companies my clothes fit and look just like the picture.

I just received my Stitch Fix box today. I was so surprised. I expected to get at least a few things, I wouldn't like but I loved everything in the box! They totally got my style. One blouse, I looked at and thought "oh that's not really something I'd wear" but I tried it on and it looks amazing on me. Another sweater I love but it's not a cor I'd normally choose. Tried it on and was pleased to see that I look good in that color. I did include a note to the stylist previously detailing my hair color, eye color and skin tone to help them choose colors that would look good on me. The clothing quality is very good and the brands of the items I received are all higher end brand names. Yes, I paid a little more than I would if I was buying from a local department store and shopping sale racks but I feel I got better quality items and wasn't left choosing from a rack of clothing no one else wanted. Plus I love the convenience of having the items delivered to my door. I'm on auto shipments and I often forget about it so receiving my shipment is always a pleasant surprise, both when I find the box on my porch and when I open it! I will continue to use Stitch Fix as a little reward to myself.

I think Stitch Fix is such a fun way to shop! Having a stylist pick out clothes for you based on likes, dislikes and body type is so fun. Try on all 5 pieces, keep what you love, and return what you don't love! So fun! Love!

I just got my stitch fix today and I loved it! I don't understand the bad reviews, it is a little pricey and I couldn't afford everything I was sent this time around, but if I did have the money right now I would've kept everything! The clothes I bought fit perfectly despite my weird proportions (I'm like 5'9 and have a pretty short torso but really long legs). All the pieces I was sent were very flattering and very comfortable! I'll definitely be ordering from them again!

I have been using Stitch Fix for over almost two years. I have always been satisfied with the quality of the items I have purchased. Recently I purchased a pair of jeans that I felt wore out much more quickly than they should have.
Even though I was past the 30 day window for returns they responded to my email within 24 hours and are replacing the item!
No back and forth at all, no hassle just a quick response to say they were sorry that I was not satisfied and that they would be taking care of the issue immediately.

Been getting StitchFix for a year now. Have kept at least one item in each box. If you want cheap this isn't it, it's decent quality, stylish clothes at reasonable prices. I really enjoy getting a box of clothes delivered to my home - it's like Christmas. I have clothes now that I never would have tried on and feel that I am better dressed than I used to be.

I'm 42 and a professional working in a client-facing role. My wife started using StitchFix a few months before I did. She also tried TrunkClub and some other similar services. She was really pleased with what she got, and the overall experience, and so I decided to try it out.
I signed up on the website, gave my sizes, preferences, went through the process. Had a brief written conversation with a stylist. My first fix was really well done. They even sent a pair of shoes that i never would have chosen at the store myself, but have ended up being one of my favorites.
I have received a fix every 2 months for about 8 months now, and have been pleased with the majority of what they have sent. Most of it is pretty solid. I have seen a couple of shirts that seem to have a wrinkly material? I mentioned this to the stylist and haven't gotten anything like that since.
Both my wife and I are well-dressed (not fashionistas or anything!) and have both received compliments multiple times on clothing we've gotten from StitchFix.
I'm honestly shocked at all the bad reviews given the positive experience I've had. I imagine one of two things has happened to these folks with bad reviews:
1. They are asking for a price point on items that StitchFix isn't good at meeting. This is not a bargain hunter solution. I don't feel they are overpriced, but StitchFix is certainly not going to be your discount shopping solution for clothing!
2. They aren't good at explaining what they want. This might sound rude or impossible... but I've run into my fair share of people that are ineffective communicators.

Just guesses. My experience has been 90% positive and I no longer shop for anything other than my graphic surf tees that i've been wearing since high school.:-)

I ordered my first fix from stitch fix and I was not happy with the prices of the products. Although they are not supposed to refund my subscription fee they did anyway because I did not like my first fix. As a result, I have nothing bad to say about the company.

Maybe before hating on Stitch Fix you should look at what's your own fault. You can't expect a miracle in your first fix when you weren't even clear on what you wanted. Just shut up and continue shopping at Walmart. Stitch Fix has completely made over my whole closet, and my style. They are awesome.

I've ordered 5 or 6 boxes from Stitch Fix now. The pieces always fit great and are tailored to my style. It helps that I have a Pinterest board for the stylists to look at. I've even gotten a few pieces that I pinned. As far as their customer service, I had a seam open up on a coat that I only had a a month. I contacted them, sent a picture and they told me that they can send me a new coat or give me a 100% refund. Also they said I could keep the "damaged" coat. This happened with another product a few boxes later. I contacted them and sent a picture of the damage and I was given the same options. They stand behind having nice quality products and if the quality does not meet their standards, they will do what they can to make it better.

I absolutely love this service. I fill out a detailed questionnaire about my measurements and style preferences, and someone sends me clothes to try out with the things already in my closet. If I like it, I keep it. If I hate it, I send it back with postage already paid. Even if I don't keep anything, I still feel like I'm saving myself money by not having to go to the store to shop, but so far that hasn't been an issue for me. My stylist has REALLY done an amazing job zeroing in on my style and my budget.

I absolutely do want to caution that with clothing boxes it can take 2-3 before the stylist gets the hang of what you love. So I absolutely recommend requesting that they include a piece of jewelry that you'll love and want to keep so that you don't feel like you've wasted your styling fee. Make sure to leave lots of feedback and be as detailed as possible. Link up your Pinterest board to give your stylist ideas. This will absolutely work for you!
