STAY AWAY - Especially if you use Bitdefender
November 23, 2020

So after 3 weeks of arguing with what they call "support", I finally got my refund. I did everything I was supposed to do to make the software work, and it just wouldn't. All the while they still tried pushing the idea that it is not their (the software developer's) responsibility to make it work.

I finally had to go so far as to threaten a report to the BBB and reporting the transaction as fraud (for those of you unaware, you CAN claim a purchase is fraud to your bank even if you authorized the transaction, if the product is defective and the vendor is refusing to refund). I'm sure that tidbit of information will help a number of you. I also threatened to print a transcript of my support ticket to take to the bank as proof, and that if I had to go that route that I would be posting a copy of it on every review site I could find

THIS was their response, they immediately issued a refund at the open of the next business day, and revoked my access to their support ticket so that I couldn't print out the conversation we had. They were more concerned about me sharing the truth about how much of a scam they are than they were supporting their customers.

Luckily, I printed the entire conversation immediately after I sent my final message, and here it is, as well as a screenshot of my empty support ticket inbox, and a copy of the refund sent to my gmail.

I also want to point out on this site specifically, that almost all positive reviewers have only ever posted 1 review, they all capitalize and spell out the entire name of the product as if they are sponsoring it, they all call the software "soft" (seriously have never heard software called "soft" before now, and I work in IT). These guys are all the right kinds of shady, and show all the red flags needed to stay far far away, I really just wish I had listened to my gut before buying.

To summarize:
Does their software do something? Sure.
Does it work most of the time? Not even close.
Does it work with all anti-viruses? Clearly not.
Does the company stand behind their product? Only in the wrong ways.
Does the company put the customer first? Hell no.
Will the company lie to you to convince you that a refund isn't an option? Yup.
Will the company get on review sites and pretend to be satisfied customers? Yup.
Do they deserve your money? A toddler is more likely to respect your money than they are.
