I have purchased over 4 times and have been pleased each time. The first time I did impressions customer service helped and the video tutorial really helps it is simple. Sporting smiles retainers and whitening system has kept my smile beautiful. The owner is professional and provides quality product. I do not work for sporting smiles nor do I know anyone that works there. Just a happy consumer.

There moulds broke my permanent retainer first go! Moulds were nothing like all the times ive gone to the dentist to get them done And having to get it re attached none of them will fit now so a complete waste of money plus time and effort and extra fees of having to go to orthadontists to fix the metal retainer and now the retainers I'm expecting from sporting smiles won't fit my top teeth due to there moulds damaging my retainer Have tried contacting to see if they could fix this some how by making new moulds of the top with less damaging moulding gel or reimbursement but no response still! And it's also been months and haven't received them not that the top ones will fit It says easier and cheaper than a dentist it's cost time postage x3 dentist visits now with fees all because I chose to trust this site WOULD NOT RECOMMEND Waiting for a response from them still! Be cautious when using there products

My husband bought bleach trays. He did not know that bleach trays are supposed to be scalloped otherwise the bleach BURNS the gums so badly they cannot be used. After a couple of months of him trying and failing to be able to bleach his teeth I looked at the trays and told him what the problem was.
I sent a note to their "warranty" department. Liz sent a canned email response about retainers that had nothing to do with the message sent to her. The company would NOT accept a return, repair them, or replace them. Ripoff.

Also, their brand of bleach is disgusting. It foams in the trays, bubbles up, and burns the gums regardless of what kind of tray is used (my trays from the dentist are scalloped and I could not tolerate their nasty bleach).

I'm guessing all the positive reviews are faked.

AVOID at all costs.

Tip for consumers:
I hope everyone who has issues with them will file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General. Hopefully the latter will revoke their license to do business.

My top retainer (from dentist) lasted over a decade but then broke, so I got sporting smiles since it was so less costly. I didn't realize the lack of durability. Only 3 years later it broke - I have no idea when or hell (meanwhile, my bottom retainer is still perfectly fine) and sporting smiles takes a week to get back to me to tell me they can't do anything:
Hi,
We are unable to assist you as we would no longer have your impressions on file, as we only keep them on file for one year. Our warranty period is 30-days from the final ship date.
Lame AF! I won't be using them again!

LASTED 3+ YEARS! 3 Years is a great amount of time to have a retainer. The life span of a clear retainer is about 1 year. If you google life span of clear retainer you will see that. That last molar can always just be trimmed off the retainer can still be used for a while. Not sure what you expected us to do on an order over 3+ year retainer order. This should be a good review on getting a great fitting retainer that lasted 3 years for less than 100$.

Used them for many years until this past month they denied 4 of my impressions without notifying me, poor customer service, no good explanation of why was denied. A complete waste of 2 months, because they do not communicate neither care you are waiting for your night guard. Find someone else!

Tip for consumers:
They are a waste of time, they wont get your guard approved. I have years experience making them and after 4 they never approved them, I think they do not care. They kept shipping cost and the cost of an extra shipping kit. A waste of time and money.

Do not assume you will get a retainer from this company! Repeatedly rejected by production team due to cracking of their putty, canned email excuses why the picture of the mold didn't meet their expectations and then they offer to sell you more materials. Not worth the frustration!

I ordered the retainer kit from SportingSmiles in June this year. They were keep asking me to redo my impressions because they weren't useful. Once they approved my impressions they sent me the retainer but it was poorly made. Covered only half of the teeth and it wasn't stable on my teeth. I emailed them and they said that they cannot make it better that that. Wow! So I returned the retainer and I received less money than I paid for initially! It also took them couple of months for the refund!

Hi, I have been waiting for a good custom fit item for 2 months. They refused to make a 3rds bottom retainer. Talked to them and the whole 100% satisfaction is a sham. Really don't like how they are giving me a partial refund in the end. The said I can keep the top and I still get a 20 dollar refund after. I asked them if I could get a full refund and they said that I won't get anything because I used the whitening kit.

Tip for consumers:
Try and do research about other options before looking at this one. These retainers cost only 130 but feel like 3 dollars.

I had a pair of two Essex plus retainers that they told me I had to return to get a partial refund. I needed the extra money to buy retainers from another place.

We have been selling retainers online since 2009 and make thousands of retainers every month. There is some truth and some lies in this review.

We have taken over 29+ phone calls (8 in 2 hours) from Gautham and 17 emails. Our product requires a good impression. We have sent impression supplies 4 times (2x putty and trays each time) to get a good lower impression. We never got a great lower impression. He is correct we didn't want to do a 3rd warranty on the lower and recommended going to a dentist to get the retainer made because of the difficultly of getting an impression. We recommended first switching the order to a single and giving a refund for the difference. (the upper was fitting fine) He didn't want to do that so we recommended a full refund. We sent a return label to cover all return shipping.

Offering a full refund and paying for the return shipping. There would normally make any customer happy. We tried our best to make this product work, but our process isn't for everyone.

Thank You,
SportingSmiles

I've been a sporting smiles customer for years and this year will likely be my last.

Instead of the usual kit being delivered, and the retainer fitting perfectly a week later, I had a completely ill-fitting upper retainer delivered in a cheap 3d print. I asked them to please resend the impression kit and they said no, they will fix it in the lab, they just need pictures.

When I called customer service they wouldn't listen and said "email us". So I did, and here we are three months later and three retainers that still don't fit me. Instead of letting me take a new impression and solve this quickly, they insist on photos and tweaking an impression that clearly doesn't work.

I have now asked them for a refund and they want ALL the retainers back and they want to charge me a processing fee for their poor job. I didn't keep all the old, not-fitting retainers that have been inside my mouth, nor will I pay them for a refund. Really crappy that they've gone downhill.

My order is over a month old. They told me they had my impressions and proceeded to make just the lower portion of the mouth guard. I was told "great, we have your impressions". They are making half a mouth guard and charging me full price $65. I also ordered two upper essix retainers. I got an impression kit instead because they said they no longer have my impression. They evaded all my question over the last week. I get a response supposedly to pacify me, but no real answers. I asked for an update (they can't get in the lab but once a day. What? No email, texting, or calling to the lab?), an explanation of why I was told they only have the lower impression (they said because they have my name in the database under two spellings), I asked for an extension on making the new impression because of an injured tooth (no response), then I asked for a total refund (no response). They are horrible. I'm getting non-answers. I never had this problem before and I'm a long-time customer. I can only guess they sold to new owners. DO NOT use this company any more.

Tip for consumers:
Don't. Customer service is terrible. Won't answer questions.

I sent a picture 4 my impressions and they said it was good. And then they emailed me saying the impression isn't good and they need a $15 to send me another kit. They did this to me twice. I took Impressions like seven times. I left the impressions in my mouth for about 7 minutes and they still said that some smear appeared like 5 times. I asked for a refund and they took $15 out of my refund and they said it was for shipping the product. It's a whole scam.

I was happy with product and even processed a REORDER with them just last year. I had a major fall this week and messed up my teeth and am in need of a new retainer to reset my teeth. When I called today I learned they destroy all records after just one year. Considering I paid full price to go through the initial impressions THEN even ordered another new set of retainers last year, it seems idiotic to destroy my records after a mere year. The excuse I was given was "we receive thousands of impressions and can't keep all of them…". Ha, good thing Amazon doesn't have that mindset or they'd be extinct. How about an upgrade on your cloud storage?! Terrible business model to destroy records of someone who has already done one reorder and very likely to probably do another—-unless of course you just want your customers to have to go through the full price of redoing their impressions all over again. In my case, my teeth are now wrecked, so that is not an option and my dentist was very excited to know I had these impressions on record with you because they could be hugely beneficial in getting my teeth back to normal. I'm so disappointed in this lack of procedural management within your organization. Oh I'm sure somewhere in the fine print you claim they are only held for one year and will hang your hat on this, but it still doesn't make any sense from a business perspective whatsoever

This review isn't a fair review of our company. We do not hide that we keep impressions for only 1 year. The products were made perfect and the customer even reordered. We keep the impressions on file for 1 year. It's all over our site. When a year is up we sent 4 emails throughout the month letting our customers know that a year is coming. We do have the option when you place a reorder to 3d scan it in so the model would be digitally stored. Dentists do not keep impressions on file. We are one of the companies that do keep impressions on file for 1 year.

I understand why the customer is mad, but they should be mad at themselves, not SportingSmiles. The customer lost their retainer, didn't buy another one within the time frame. Had an accident that they messed up their teeth, and are now looking for a retainer to help fix their problem. We tell all customers that they should always have a backup retainer.

I feel we provided great service and a great product and this is an unfair review.

According to the video if you order the whitening kit your first package you will receive an extra mold set to take a mold for the whitening tray and Whitening Gel, however I did not receive either item. I contacted customer service and they told me that it would be in the shipment of retainers, it was not. I actually don't even think that I received the official retainer what I got was an extremely flimsy non -tooth conforming tray with my name written across the front teeth. F this isnt just a whitening tray, Why would you write visible writing across the front teeth on something that supposed to be invisible aligners? They don't click to the teeth or stay in place at all. I verified the my entire tooth impression was in the mold with gumline. I sent a complaint with photos a week ago and have not heard anything back. 100% dysatified in quality and communication!

I ordered two packs of teeth whitening for my partner and I which included the whitening light. I paid I think about $25 to have it sent to NZ and purchased extras I spent over 100usd and to find products missing with no explanation I contacted customer service to ask what happened. Wasn't greeted or apologised to in the email they said they were out of stock and that was it. I had to keep hounding them for them (they were still selling them on the website so how were they out of stock?!?) they again replied rudely and eventually said we are putting through a $10 refund... keeping in mind I purchased 2 packs... they cost more than that on the website so what's going on?!? I said I wanted the lights I had purchasd not a partial refund. They also said that the lights don't even have a purpose... ummmm so why are you selling them?!

I also asked about the colour of the blue protective gel as it came a very different cloudy colour to what is in the clear picture on the internet so being that it's my teeth it's a bit of a worry so I haven't used them. A lot of the caps come off the other gels too so arrives a bit of a mess.

Now I could totally handle all of that but the terrible customer service is appalling! No "hi" no apology for there muck ups or any explanation! Quite frankly they've kept money that doesn't belong to them and are selling products they don't have and also that they don't believe in. That's scary!

I suggest looking into and shopping around for all companies that are able to serve your dental needs. I paid $140 for two bite guard retainers, as advertised.
I was sent the impression kit... no big deal. NOW... I need to stress that there is no stipulation/regulation stating that the impressions are required to be one dental set. I figured since I was paying a significant amount for a product, I would be able to receive the product. I PAID FOR TWO bite guards... and decided to created impressions for myself and for my husband. We both grind out teeth bad bad bad.
After sending in the impressions, close to 2 weeks later, my mail lady knocked on my door, and required payment for my shipment! I ALREADY PAID FOR SHIPPING... also, I LIVE IN WISCONSIN... like 1 hour away from the actual location of the company itself. YET, I had to pay my mail lady an extra $7 to receive my package.
After opening my package, I realized that I had received 2 retainers that were EXACTLY the same. I contacted the company via email stating that I had received two of the same bite guards. Their response..."well you sent two uppers". I received NO emails stating that this was not allowed, and I received NO email or contact, asking me (THE BUYER) which impression I would like to have made. They just chose one impression, decided to spite me for taking two upper impressions, and sent what they felt like sending.
Keep in mind... I PAID $140 for TWO retainers. I had requested that they make a retainer of the impression that I didn't receive, and that I would remake a lower impression (to meet THEIR UNDOCUMENTED DEMANDS). The company then required that I pay another $15 for another impression set so that I could receive what I ORIGINALLY PAID FOR. I paid the $15, and AGAIN, 2 weeks later, my mail lady required another $7 in extra shipping costs (again, i live an hour away from the actual company).

When all was said and done, I finally received the products I paid for, but paid well over the listed price. Just beware, there might be extra costs.
