It's easy to find out whether or not you have a legit person at the other end of the number when I have the ability to search every number that isn't in my contact list. I've been able to get information pertaining to any number that texts or calls and therefore I know whether or not it's a real person at the other end of a line and that is what I need to combat all the fakes and spam.

I purchased a free trial in order to find some information on a specific person I know well. The site advertises thorough "deep diving" searches that will shock you by the information they will present to you. Spokeo's "deep diving searches" couldn't even find the last 2 addresses this person was registered at. Nor could they even find their Facebook page which you can find from a SIMPLE GOOGLE SEARCH. Total waste of time, Spokeo is stealing consumer's money.

Sugary voice, mellifluos with words, enchanting, makes you feeling that he is in love with you. Until he started to ask for money for different reasons. Very pushy from there.

Been a paying customer for over 2 years you still love this site lately it's become hit or miss and most of the data that I'm getting is pretty inaccurate will not pay for another year.

I had no Luck with the phone number I had but everyone I talked to at the site was very pleasant, It was worth a try, I'd use the site again if I needed to!

I really like Spokeo, and it has served me well.
However, when I logged in yesterday, I was asked to update my CC info. When I did I was immediately charged $177, instead of the $70.80 annual fee I had been paying, with no prior notice. Even when I logged in the screen showed that the fee was $70.80, but that the 2022 fee would be $177. I then received a message from my credit card statement saying that there was a $177 charge from Spokeo. The 'pending' charge still shows on my CC statement today, even though I called Spokeo and had them cancel the paid subscription IMMEDIATELY.

I paid 99 cents for information, but in order to get more I would have the pay for a month's subscription. However when I cancelled, Carolina was helpful and wonderful.

I bought a membership on april10,2021. I called the company for a refund within an hour to ask for a refund. This however was my problem. I'm a guy in my fifties and not the best at using a computer or the very latest up to date technology. I found spokeo customer service to be very friendly and helpful.
I'm in the process of receiving a full refund.
Based on my experience, I would very likely recommend a friend to try their service.
It's not the fault of spokeo, I should have made learning new technologies more of a priority.

I originally went for spokeo because of the ability to do a reverse phone number look up. After looking up the information, which I paid a one time offer for a limited time, i was disappointed. The information I received made literally no sense and was old. I felt that a lot of the information is obtainable without spokeo, however having a large bit of it available in one location is nice. But the biggest thing was that a lot of MISINFORMATION is posted as well as old information. For example, it says that I was possibly married which is so far from the truth. It also has my last known address from 2015 when I have lived at 2 other addresses. It also had very very old emails as well as social media sites and nothing new. In conclusion, I terminated my membership and will use the free resources or another site like spokeo that provides a lot more prevalent and sought after information for the same price, if not cheaper.

Do not use if you're looking for information you cannot obtain for free.

I had several people to research and this program was not very helpful. The subscription cost is really high for something that is not very good.
Customer service is very helpful when you want to cancel, however, and to me that is super important.

I am new to this the Spoken online research business. The companies agreement, in the contract before I sent them, is $. 95 to look up someone, was to agree to $25.95 a year. I am allowed to cancel. I have signed up twice this year. I should only have signed up once to use their services. I want a refund for one the agreements. I will call their Customer Service again, to try to cancel from the two agreements.

I got three charges that I did not authorize.
They renewed me twice, and did a search with someone who had the same name, but not the name I entered.
I like this program, but they're not honest, has been my experience.

Tip for consumers:
Watch your credit/debit card.
Even 'tho my debit card expired in March, and the new billing was to be April, the card was somehow honored.
Spokeo figured out that I'd have a new expiration date with the same card number.
They will treat you like you're on autopay, even if you're not.

If you make a purchase, they automatically set you up for monthly withdrawals which I never wanted. When I contacted customer service, they did not refund the whole amount only a small portion. I called the same day the deduction was taken, so I didn't use any points etc. so they should have refunded all my money. BE CAREFUL when making any purchase. SAD. Really like the game but really upset.

FINAL UPDATE: Updated my review to 3 stars because they actually did refund me. Not sure if they would have if there wasn't evidence through paypal. I have no anger towards anyone who works for Spokeo, but more so the business model and whoever's idea it was. The customer care was decent and when I explained everything and asked for a refund they actually gave me one. Took about 3 days. Don't file a dispute with Paypal, contact the customer care service. As for how well this works? Meh, I'm not sure about these sites in general and see other reviews. Never again will I use spokeo or probably any similar site. People seemingly don't get much info out of these while some do. If you use this, make sure to immediately cancel the automatic charge of $24.95 when that 7 day trial is over or you'll be out of that for however long. The whole experience was unsatisfactory minus when they actually gave me my money back. Maybe it was just my, and some other people's experiences, but sorry Spokeo. Never again will I use your service most likely. Maybe consider the whole automatic charge thing without people knowing and you might not get so many bad reviews.

PREVIOUS REVIEW: Same as everybody else. Paid 0.95 cents to look up one number and next thing you know you're charged 25 dollars and they refuse to refund you. Paypal can't even help in this situation, because believe me I tried. Once they take that 25 dollars out, they don't care. This is how they make their money. I looked them up on google to see if they were a legit company and trustworthy, but I'm wondering if the sites that said these things were paid to do so. Don't bother. And if any spokeo representative responds to this, don't bother unless you're planning on refunding me. I don't care otherwise. I don't want to use the site for the rest of the month. The site doesn't even work. I want my money back. How this site and business is still going is beyond on me but I'm not surprised considering they get their business out of cheating people. I will update my review or take down this negative one if the situation is made right. I just contacted their live chat and told they will contact Paypal and plan to refund me the $24.95 and it should take up to 14 days. But we'll see if they actually follow through.

Tip for consumers:
If you use this site, cancel the automatic $24.95 payment immediately because chances are, it’ll be a pain to get back or they might even want to give you only half the refund, or nothing at all. Maybe just don’t use this, or go for another site. I don’t know about how legit these sites are or worth it. Just my opinion after my experience.

I was here looking for alias etc and doind a check on my bf. His birthday is correct, but im mnot sure how easy it would be for someone to mess up a search. Threre is so much evidencehe has tampered with location and other emails of mine that im not sure im etting correct results when i look him up now. Now it shows two women with his wifes name, family members, etc... one is the correct age, one profile shows the same woman in her 70's I dont know if its possible for someone to add people in or add themselves or modify the search in some way. He can seem to modify everything else...
When i lookup myself it shows me 3 years older than I am and includes addresses in PA ive never lived. Now its showing I have over 120 social medica accounts, all names and emails, ive never had. Same with his ex wife. A search of one of his brothers shows him 33 when he is well over 55 I also see not for profit businesses in his name, 3, and he doestn own any? All down in Florida... with names of managers etc. I havent looked all of them up yet.
So all in all, yes i can find everyone, iim nt sure how easy the system would be to hack and make people up.

I didn't get to read the whole report on the subject I queried before the surveys started. The first query, an email address came back with nothing. I would have liked to know if it was a valid email and had been used recently. I queried a second email associated with the first and was bombarded with surveys on how I liked spokeo. It would have been better if I was allowed to review the results of the query before the damn survey.

Spokeo needs to find better up to date information sites. There are sites that are free that have more up to date information.

I need to find my daughter cause I gave birth to her and never meant to lose all contact info. I scared her in some way but I don't know how really. Shes recently married and probably thinking of her own family so for me it's now or never. I need to convince her to accept my financial help as well as anything I can do to make up for the past if not being able to see each other hardly ever... thank you for your understanding, trust is a big issue with me so far
