I made a mistake and signed up for the 7 day trial for 0.95 cents. I called customer service and spoke with a very nice lady named Jessica who took care of canceling my order for me. In fact, she did such a professional job and was so helpful that I asked to speak to her supervisor in order to compliment her. I spoke with Justin, ID#1541, and told him how impressed I was. Now the reason I canceled was because the person I was trying to find, a long lost friend, the phone numbers they provided were both disconnected.

Spokeo's "deep diving searches" couldn't even find the last 2 addresses this person was registered at. Nor could they even find their Facebook page which you can find from a SIMPLE GOOGLE SEARCH. Total waste of time, Spokeo is stealing consumer's money.

The information on my search was ridiculously wrong! I informed the site on this and heard nothing back. I requested the cancelation of my subscription and thought I was done with this company. WRONG! A few weeks later, I was charged almost $30 for services I had canceled. When I asked for a refund they offered less than $12 instead of the entire amount. WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY! Tried to use this service to try to find information on an old friend. Information I received seemed suspect so I tried it using people I did have info on. What I got back was absolute garbage. For example, it showed my current address at a location where I had not lived for 14 years. It provides email addresses that are dead links. This service is a total scam. Do not use it.

Beware of Deceptive Practices
I recently had an absolutely nightmarish encounter with SPOKEO and I feel compelled to share my experience to warn others about their unethical practices. I signed up for their services, only to find out that the information provided was inaccurate and misleading.
Upon discovering the issue, I contacted their customer service number, and the nightmare escalated from there. The representative I spoke with, although seemingly nice, had no intention of resolving the matter promptly. Instead, she placed me on hold not once, not twice, but a mind-boggling four times, each time promising that her manager would handle the situation.
Here's where the situation reached its zenith of absurdity. When the manager finally took the call, their response was nothing short of shocking. In a display of astonishing rudeness and disregard for customer concerns, the manager effectively told me, in the politest terms possible, to go jump in a lake. The manager capped off this delightful exchange by hanging up on me.
This level of disrespect and lack of professionalism is beyond comprehension. It's disheartening to encounter a company that not only fails to deliver accurate information but also treats customers with such disdain when their errors are brought to light.
I strongly advise anyone considering SPOKEO to think twice. Their sketchy sign-up services, coupled with a customer service experience that would make a masochist cringe, make them a company to steer clear of. Save yourself the frustration and headaches, and find a business that values its customers and upholds basic principles of honesty and integrity.
The Male Manager that the female handed me off to would not provide his name and hung up on me. It is no way to do business and only hope that this post helps someone else before they give their money to this soon to be black listed, sketchy operation.

The majority of the information was about neighbours which is really not important. Save your money and go somewhere else. Customer service was not helpful either although they replied!

I tried Spokeo one time. I had an address and was looking for residents and phone numbers. The names of every resident were bogus. The phone numbers were all for different people who lived elsewhere, or for businesses, or not in service. Completely useless.

UNBELIEVABLE! Did you know Spokeo can cancel peoples account for simply going to rental sites helping a friend find a place to live, and Spokeo pops up and if you don't use them or you use them then cancel your account because you don't need their service anymore they retaliate and cancel your account.? Beware when you use Spokeo they cancel for actually no reason at all and falsely accuse members of the dumbest lies I have ever heard of that is totally unbelievable. Spokeo is just a facade to hide a monthly subscription. You pay for the initial search and then they automatically sign you up for continued service. Do not sign up for anything.

I looked up people I know to see how accurate this is. I'd give it 0/10.
Addresses were ALL outdated to when they were living with their parents at least 4-10 years ago.
Email was often 10+ years old and belonging to another household member.
Financial information, when actually available, was for the household, a guess, for the wrong person, or just wrong. It doesn't offer ANY court or criminal records, no jobs, no social media that's actually correct.
What DOES it tell you? Their full name, family members, old addresses, and phone number. Sometimes e-mail, but rarely accurate.
You know, everything that you can find for free online.
My ex hasn't lived with his dad in 6+ years, but Spokeo thinks that he does. No mention of living with his mom for 2 years.
This service is worth less than 1 star.

2 years ago I must have signed up for a one time use or trial. Today I realized I have been billed for 24 months, which is $598! In the last 2 years I have never used their services. A company who continues to charge you even though someone does not use their services means shady business! The reason it went undetected is because in my transactions the charge is labeled as shopping. I'm am utterly sad and disappointed I lost so much money just like that.

I was not notified about my free subscription ending and then I got a bill for $24.95 that was charged today so I contacted them about issuing a full refund because I wasn't goin to use their services and they only gave me a refund of $9.98.

I don't even remember signing up for spokeo. It must have been a whim or maybe I thought I canceled but didn't. I saw the $24.95 charge on my credit card statement and had no idea what spoke was. I called them and canceled. I then researched in my email and found an original confirmation of signing up from back in June. $24.95 is way too much for this type of service even if I had used it more than once. Lesson learned, and remember to check your credit cards statements to catch these kind of money drains. Another complaint I have is there was never a follow-up reminding me that I had a subscription, asking my opinion of the service or flagging that my credit card was charged. I'm betting this company makes most of it's money on unused subscriptions like mine.

I signed up and paid for a Spokeo report of myself. Imagine my surprise to learn I have a middle name! And relatives I have never heard of or met, even though they lived with me!
I contacted Spokeo to have these and other errors corrected, but was told there was no way of doing that. The only option was to delete my name and all (bogus) information from their website. So of course I did. In my experience, Spokeo is an irresponsible, potentially dangerous clown show.

I spotted a weird charge for $24.95 in my statements. Looking further into it I found a previous charge for $0.95. I'd never heard of this site before but when looking further into it, I found that I was one out a million to have something similar happen. I'd never been on the site and had recently ordered a new debit card ate the time of the $0.95 purchase. The creepy part is the fact that I was charged as soon as I activated my card. This site was not my first nor was a purchase in the first place. I had to order a new card but have read reviews of them charging even when changing debit cards. Check your statements people. Spokeo is a bunch of thieves.
