My last visit to Sons Honda was a great experience. My Salesperson was Carlton Harris. As usual, Mr Harris provided great customer service. He was very patient, personable and understanding. He seems to know his job and as a result assisted me in making the right decision. I will recommend Sons Honda to my family and friends because of the great service I received from Carlton Harris.

“Tried to sell me a new engine when it was just AC compressor”

Lindsey M.

Tried to replace my motor when it wasn't needed. $5k! If I could leave a negative 50 review I would. **BEWARE!** I had my car towed to Sons and spoke with a mechanic. He said it needed a new engine! Day one! I told them it had ac compressor issues. He said engine wouldn't turn and it would need to be replaced. Said it was seized and nothing that could be done. Needed $5k. Had a mechanic come out and look at it, took the serpentine belt off in 2 minutes and engine cranked up beautifully. Only thing it needed was a new ac compressor. Tow truck driver was able to drive it up onto his truck! Agreed that it was bs and the if the engine was seized, it would've never been able to drive it up on that truck. The service guy I had been speaking with for the past 4 days was terrible. Never returned calls. Was extremely rude when we told them the engine wasn't seized and in fact was fine. Said we owed $150 for diagnostic fees (after they lied and said engine was seized). Having this mechanic saved me THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS. This hurts people that work hard for every dollar they earn. One of two things happened here: I was being played a fool to get an entire new engine (which is not a small repair) or their techs are not intelligent enough to see if an ac compressor could have been the issue. Either way, this place is terrible. I will never ever take my car there and I'd recommend other people to stay away as well. The service tech stormed by us with his hands up in the air like he was angry and crazy. My question is, why were you so upset you were called out on a lie? I should be the one upset. It's MY $5,000 that would've been wasted! And more because a new engine wouldn't have fixed the problem. I would have still had to have an ac compressor replaced. Crooks. This is sad. People work hard for their money and should trust a Honda technician.

Run, Run, Run and never look back! If you still choose to do business with them, do no say you were not warned...I took my 2018 Honda Accord in for a recall of the seatbelts. I was given a shuttle ride back home. I was told that the seatbelt parts had to be ordered based on my VIN #. Seat belt parts were ordered but of course they have to hit you up with some type of work they recommend. Recommendations totaled 359.94.

I asked about checking my Freon level. I was told that diagnostic test cost 389.99? Unbelievable... All of this communication was done with Braden via text messages and then all of a sudden the communication stopped. I called the next day and spoke to someone who advised Braden had the day off. I asked why didn't someone pick up his customer communications where he left off...This person stated he could help me. I asked about the Freon diagnostic fee...The answer I got sounded made up...very shady. I asked was my car ready for pick up and was told that they had not finished the job and that I would have to pick it up the next day, which would mean the job took 3 days to complete.

I asked who the supervisor was and was told her name was Jessica. I asked to speak to her and was told she was in a meeting. I said I was on the way to speak to someone (going to borrow a friends car). I got a phone call back and was told that my car would be ready by 6pm and that someone would pick me up via their shuttle service.

At 5:45pm, I became concerned that I had not heard from anyone so I called and was told that their shuttle rides stop at 4:30pm. I stated, I just do not know what to say about this experience...I was told that I would be picked up. The person said so you really need a ride? You do not have a way to pick up your car? Ummmmmm No...I said I was told that someone would call and pick me up.

I was picked up and taken to the shop. I picked up my car and as I was getting in the car I noticed some scratches on the front side of the car that were not there before. I got a strange feeling in my gut...The entire place gives you strange feelings...the staff give strange revengeful vibes...You will only know what I am talking about unless you have been victim to your share of narcissistic sociopaths.

I drove off the lot but something was nagging my spirit. I pulled over at BJ's and walked around my car and noticed that someone had put several nicks and dings all around my car, like they dug into the paint down to the metal (like small pressure points) all the way around my car (here and there) and they damaged my back bumper in two places removing the paint significantly! My front bumper also has damage. I knew what my gut was telling me... And of course they were going to deny all of it...

Noted one of the strange acting people taking pictures of my car at a far away distance but I never saw them take pictures of the back of my car. Call me so we can look at the sooooo very detailed pictures that you took of my car and you will see that this damage was not there.

THESE ARE NOT GOOD PEOPLE! If they can not make money off of you or you inquire as to why things are being said and why your repairs have not been done...this is what you are going to get. They do just enough damage to try and make you think you are crazy...but it was obvious and apparent what had been done. Small nicks down to the paint on my front bumper, car door hinge now with a significant chip of paint, some nicks to hood, trunk landing with chip of paint and they got my back bumper good.

There is a reason why they have all these low ratings and of course a 5 star rating suspiciously pops up after 10 bad ratings to at least keep them from having to totally jump ship.

Son's Honda you are running a $#*! show!

Sons Honda (McDonough GA) knows how to give a good deal when one is buying a new car. Now try servicing your brand new car in the Service (maintenance) Department. You'd wish that some of the people over there are better off selling sheep dip door-to-door rather than helping people with their car maintenance problems.

A simple Honda recall gets bummed right from the start because this joint hires crappy people who have bad attitude problems... and who doesn't have a clue what they are doing. Some of the maintenance personnel seems to have never heard of putting in plastic protection sheeting to protect car upholstery, My car had dripping glue all over the back seat to fix a recall problem... a problem which could have been avoided in the first place by simply placing protective plastic. It took 3 visits to correct a simple and clearly observable and very noticeable problem. They simply don't care!
