Skype is valuable in business, It permits individuals to work from the home, it has numerous accommodating highlights including bunch video considering that saves a great deal of movement time and cash for the organizations, organizations can speak with associates, and it assists the organizations with conveying bunch gatherings from better places. Easy to use. Easy maintenance. Easy to connect to another person.
I needed to switch my phone supplier as Skype did not integrate with my new CRM and it did not work most of the time either (they blamed my WiFi, but all other communication systems work fine). I followed the full switching procedure several times together with the new telecoms provider but Skype have been extremely unhelpful, refusing to provide the details we need, leaving us to have to keep guessing and use trial & error. After nearly 6 months of trying to get this resolved, I have had to cancel the Skype contract and lose the phone number too. Not ideal for my business, but I cannot spend any more time chasing them up. When you need to contact them, it takes a significant amount of time waiting in queues and then waiting for each response as the support operators assist multiple people at a time. They then never get back to you when they promise (despite telling them I don't believe they will get back to me - they insisted they definitely will and make promises which they inevitably always break). Taking this service has been a big mistake.
Skype is still a very solid international phone calling provider, it was one of the first to start video conference rooms, but is slower than newest version of chat rooms is still good
Skype is most secure site for video calling for office meetings or family video calls, etc. And a very good option for conference calls as well.
I use skype to keep in touch with distant friends and relatives. We can call each other and even see ourselves through webcams. Most technical problems are easy to fix cuz they are not always the fault of skype but of bad mic or camera
Personally I really like skype but sometimes its really slow or I cant here what the person on the other end is saying. Sometimes it just cuts off the person but on rare occurrences does skype have issues.
I use Skype for many of my bussines meetings since I have staff all over the world. I also use it often to see what my family is doing. It's a great way to reconnect or stay connected. AND IT'S FREE!
I use skype at home to connect with my relatives. The thing is rather easy to operate - so elderly people are ok with using it. Was also using the soft for the work needs b4, however switched to another one lately.
I have the Samsung Epic Galaxy 4G and it works just fine on my phone. You just gotta remember that just like with any phone you're using a program and if you're in a bad area with spotty reception it's going to be laggy just like anything else would be.
Chat works fantastic, Calling does what its supposed to do albeit a little laggy sometimes with the newer updates. Much better than my experiences with Tango or Oovoo!
Best way to keep in touch with my family oversea's. Call quality is based on the internet of course but when it's good it's great!
Good quality Video & Audio call. I like the messaging also.
High quality video & audio call, impressive chatting service, better for file sharing & easy to use, that's why I love Skype so much.
I've been using this application for 2 years.
It keeps my family and I connect virtually. Video chatting makes us feel that we're so close.
Skype is a great instant messenger to keep in contact with friends. It has better video quality than other instant messengers, e.g. Yahoo and MSN.
Skype is one of the best communication tools. It is a good way to connect other people specially your family and love ones.
Sometimes Skype has a few hiccups, but still love it. Use it to call my family in the UK.
And you choose to publish this rant on the very day Microsoft the makers of Skype announce their new CEO. Clickbait much?
Many good points here but the timing is very suspect.

Thank you for inventing skype. The skype and social networks helped me finding relatives which I hadn't seen before in my life. And most of all it's free :)
When I want to get in touch with my family and friends, I use Skype. I have it in my laptop and phone. The service is excellent. I use it to call my Simply the best.
From my experience, Hangout sucks. I work remotely with a team of three other people, and one person with a relatively new MacBook Air constantly has issues with getting his camera working with it. Plus there is its annoying habit of deciding when to mute or unmute you, which wouldn't be so bad if there was a way to switch it back without being focused in the Hangout window.
In fact, we have gotten so fed up with Hangouts that we are moving TO Skype. One person is going to get a premium account, which will allow us to duplicate most of what we use Hangouts for.
I've stayed connected with a couple people though skype and made some really good friends. Has a very easy to understand interface and doesn't take too long to start up.
Don't like having to link my accounts though.
I am impressed by the free version, you guys are fantastic - there are still room for improvement though, period lol

i love the free version
When you're in a long distance relationship- it's an essential. Thanks to Skype, my boyfriend and I can do everything from cook together to playing online scrabble. It's been a godsend while he's been three hours away!
Video quality is relatively poor- but it honestly doesn't bother me.
I have used Skype for about a year. It's very convenient to have a way to contact others that is free (if they subscribe to the same service), and the fee for calling outside Skype is reasonable. Sometimes, we run into a problem with different people having different versions of Skype, and this seems to cause difficulty in allowing the video to work properly. After a lot of experimenting, we were able to work it out. Besides this relatively minor issue, Skype is not a bad service.
I sometimes have serious lag when I talk to my friends in Malaysia.
As for the video option, can't really say anything, since I don't even own a webcam.
I have a bunch of friends in australia and new zealand that i keep in touch with voice-wise via skype. It saves a ton of loney and is pretty reliable. I wish the pay plans were simply freee but i cant reaalllly expect that. My only real complaint is that the signal goes out once in a while.
Skype is freakin awesome... I love using it to chat to friends and family who live out of state!
