Simple Kneads

Your bread is delicious! I love that it is made with such healthy ingredients and that its vegan AND gluten free. That's so hard to find! I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease in 2007 and became a vegan in 2016 and I haven't eaten sandwiches very often since then because most gluten free/vegan breads are made with flours that are empty nutritionally. But now that I have found your bread I can feel good about eating sandwiches again!

I do have one small recommendation - it would be lovely to have the option to buy your bread without it coming sliced. I love the size of the slices you have now-perfect for sandwiches but it would be nice to be able to just cut a big hunk off and dip in my soups and stews. Just a thought:)

This is my 4th time ordering. I discovered Simple Kneads breads at the Company Shops Coop while in Burlington for a workshop. I prefer whole grain products and their Artisan Breads have wonderful whole grain flavor and substance. While I can buy less costly gluten-free bread locally, it lacks the flavor and tooth of Simple Kneads. I like that the ingredients are whole foods without the conditioners used by most gluten-free breads. It also freezes well so 3 of the loaves always go directly into the freezer when I open the box. I like all three flavors so it is always difficult to choose which 2 of the 3 types to order. Burlington is off of the direct route to visit my son and his family in Raleigh from Central Virginia and is well worth the detour to buy a supply of Simple Kneads breads whenever we make the trip. My wife, who has been a home whole grain bread baker for decades, also likes the taste and consistency and is delighted when I offer to share with her.

The bread is delicious and probably the best gluten free bread available for purchase. The texture is great and holds up for sandwiches. It doesn't become soggy even with tomatoes or other fresh vegetables. Be sure to freeze it after opening it though, because I made the mistake of leaving it on the counter for a couple of days and it did grow mold. My fault, not the bakery's.
I made the comment on delivery time because of the USPS delivery. They take forever to deliver anything. I believe it took 4 or 5 days for my bread to arrive after it was shipped.

I have purchased from Simplekneads a few times now, and they deliver a great product. It's difficult to find Gluten-free bread that doesn't TASTE like gluten-free bread (you know?). They ship out the bread usually within two days and it takes about two days to arrive. This last time, however, for some reason, it took longer for me to get my bread - not sure why. So I was disappointed about that. However, that doesn't take away from the deliciousness of the bread :)

Great GF bread, which is almost an oxymoron. Not anymore! Their bread makes you forget your limitations.

I adore their products. I was looking for delicious and gluten-free buns for a long time. Here are very tasty pastries. I recommend it to everyone!

Shipping via FedEx was a bit worrisome, as it took 5 days starting in the opposite direction and even leaving the state and fully crossing another before returning to a destination not 50 miles from the source. Not the bakery's fault and I'm glad the bread was sliced and ready to go right in the freezer as I'm sure it wouldn't have lasted another full day on the counter.
