“Excellent customer support”

I have been Signpost client for over the year. What has been outstanding experience working with Curtis my account manager. He made a great difference in appreciation of the signpost possibilities and effective ways of using it. I originally signed up to use the service to add more reviews to my google and yelp sites. Even though software could have done more flexibility, working with Curtis made the greatest positive impact. Thank you.

“SCAM! DO NOT FALL FOR IT.”

Angelina L.

This company will MISLEAD you. Do NOT fall for it. They try really hard to pursue you in the beginning to lock down their sale and as soon as they lock you down, they DO NOT FOLLOW THROUGH, TAKES FOREVER TO GET A SIMPLE RESPONSE BACK, SUPPORT TEAM SUCKS, NOT TO MENTION THE MANAGER WE WERE ASSISNGED TO IS NO HELP EITHER! And all the information they gave us in the beginning was a complete LIE. It sucks because I am the only person answering phone calls in the office right now and needed that extra support that they said they would offer. None of my phone calls were being forwarded to their team. And when I called my account manager, she changed the entire story of how their company works. Tamiko and Jeremy, shame on you. Time is of the essence, so save yours and do NOT hire this company.

I used this group a couple years after my business partner passed away. The initial conversation with the rep at that time was very convincing and the onboarding was smooth sailing. Once we got the script put together we were off to the races. The actual service was very faulty and inconsistent. If anything was consistent it was the rate at which calls were being patched in with me personally way to often. It really seemed as if they were holding the conversations way to long to rack up charges and the thing that bothered me the most was that i was being charged minutes while they put potential clients on hold.

I gave them another chance in 2023 and it was even worse this time and getting ahold of customer service was nearly impossible and if I did get ahold of them I would be dumped off to someone else. The initial liason whom i worked with was never available infact I think they quit and or was terminated. When i finally decided to end this relationship it was almost impossible to get someone who could facilitate the termination. After I finally got a call from someone and finally ended terminated my account...they still kept charging my credit card. Just got one today two months after canceling. Waste of money, shame on me for giving them another chance.

It wasn't very long into my time with Signpost that I learned their support team is completely unwilling to help you get properly set up, help out, return calls or even tell the truth.

Multiple times, vital information regarding the platform was hidden from discussions and ultimately when I decided to discontinue the service, their team was quick to cease conversation whilst continuing to charge my company.

Beware of Curtis, he will continue to charge your account to avoid company punishment.

Tip for consumers:
Ask detailed questions before signing up. They hook you into sharing your financial info (CC) and then will immediately begin to charge you. Most likely, they won’t tell you that you are able to pause your account either.

This is a very bad company. They charged me for three months instead of two and took more money then was supposed to be and stealing money from contractors.

Criminal! Avoid! You will absolutely regret dealing with this company. Their product does not work and their billing practices are sneaky and deceptive. I tried to converse with them, but they don't discuss - they merely tell you how to cancel. It's laughable!

I have instituted a lawsuit against them. Please avoid them - I should have and I regret it.

Hi John – We’re sorry to hear about your experience with our new beta feature and our service. Sometimes, we discover challenges that need to be explored with our software and fixed along the way. As discussed, we have already offered you a free month of service, which you declined. We’ve been trying to get in touch with you, to no avail. As of today, we have refunded the charges for service for 2 months. We plan to close out your account by end of day unless we hear otherwise. Again, we’re sorry that you had a poor experience, and wish you the best of success in the future. – The Signpost Team

Verified purchase

I used the service for about six months. I repeatedly had scheduling issues caused by timezone differences. Customer would be scheduled on my google calendar for 130pm appointment and would be told 1130am. The last couple months, I noticed that calls would be forwarded and then I would not receive a text or email with the call details. I contacted them regarding the issue and never got any guidance or explanation as to what was happening. A previous customer of mine called me, I was unable to answer so the call was forwarded. Again I did not receive a text with call details. I received a text from the customer stating that her call was not answered and there was no option to leave a voicemail. I had suspected that was happening but did not previously have confirmation. I immediately turned off call forwarding. I reached out to cancel after using only half my allotted minutes and was told that I would be billed for another month of service with zero minutes used because I requested to cancel the same day of the new billing cycle. Absolutely ridiculous customer service and they will suck every penny they can out of a small business.

Despite producing zero results for my business they have locked us into a contract and refuse to let us out. I would never work with this company nor recommend it to anyone. Their guarantees are worthless. Find a better reputation company that actually stands by their word.

These people won't just let you cancel, they try to scam an extra $200 out of you by saying you need 30 days notice to cancel their account or they'll sign you up for another billing cycle you don't need. That's crooked and these people are scam artists.

Horrific contract terms. Don't trust them or the service. The service doesn't actually drive reviews to yelp, only to their internal review site - not public and doesn't help. They'll lock you in and keep billing even when they're not providing any services. Effectively a SCAM.

Hi Brian, we're sorry to hear that you are unsatisfied with the terms of the contract you signed. To clarify, we do ask for Feedback responses that are only visible on your internal account, but we also follow up with contacts who have left you Feedback to ask them to leave Reviews on external pages such as Yelp, Google, and Facebook. You also have the option to turn off Feedback requests and only ask your contacts for Reviews on external sites if you wish. We'd love to discuss how we can make your account work for you for the remainder of your contract, as it sounds like there are some options that would satisfy your concerns!

A couple of days after signing on with Signpost, they told me if I cancelled, I'd have to pay for half of the year's subscription. I was shocked. So, I decided to start using the system. Three months later, I haven't seen anything fruitful from it. I have decided to cancel and warn anyone considering it to stay away from it.

For the price you pay, you wont see any increase in sales nor retain more customer loyalty.
Go ahead and try to cancel, then they inform you after the fact its a 30 day notice to cancel, so they can charge you for another month. Absurd.
Save your money and dont waste any time with this outfit.

This was one of the worst calls I have taken especially from some one selling something.
Very condescending and rude. Did not understand the business that i am in but proceeded to tell me how we are doing everything wrong and that we have no idea how to run a business that has been here for 44 years. This person should not be able to represent you.

The sales people are very arrogant. Don't specifically answer questions and then try to tell you that you should commit to a 6 or 12 month contract without doing any due diligence before you commit. Hubris!
Then when I started to express my frustration with the sales person (who was, based upon her demeanor and language, just out of college), so got huffy and actually said our call was not a "sales" call. At that point I lost it and said that if she didn't think she was trying to sell me anything, she didn't know what she was talking about... but it gets better. Then she warned me that if I didn't accept her premise and basically start agreeing with everything she said (not in so many words, but that was the implication) that she was going to hang up the phone. I told her, "have a nice day young lady" and hung up.
Avoid like the plague.
Sounds like a typical startup trying to sell people some services they can mostly do by themselves using other technology.

We have been using this company for over a year. They have driven some review for us. However, we now use a full service software that includes the services they offer so they are no longer needed. I call to cancel my service at 13 months, and they tell me that they can cancel the service but will not issue a refund for the 11 months of unused service. I couldn't stay in business if I took money from my customers for nothing in return.

It's ironic that this company helps get positive reviews on Yelp and Google, and they do not show up on either site, b/c if they did, the negative reviews would kill them! I feel they have terrible business ethics.

I told the sales gal up front that I, a sort of dinosaur that has had my biz since before the Internet or cell phones, do not collect emails, and don't plan to. She went of to say they scoop them off the Internet, that they are linked to the cell phone they called you on! That that is how they build a list. That's just one of two silly things she told me.

Later I found out that isn't true, and I have to get them to opt-in, which I won't make my customers do. For my biz, it would almost be as odd as having a taco shop try to collect your email on the drive through, at least from my point of view.

And I didn't read the contract, which I signed, which has a 50% penalty. The sale's girl, of course, never mentioned a word about this penalty. Point is, I paid a lot of money, and got nothing. Think I'm happy?

Should I have read that contract? Of course. But why have a contract with a penalty like that? How does it benefit the customer? Why not vet people, and make sure the product will fit their business model? I just can't do business the way they do.

A wretched, horrible company. I can see the potential for the review platform to be beneficial, so I agreed to national client pricing and to pilot the program for six months with one of my company's franchisees. Signpost also wanted a list of all of our franchisees, but I refused, as we never give out franchisee information. I also told the rep (*) that our franchisees do not like sales calls, so I wouldn't condone a company calling them.

The next thing I knew, Signpost had pulled our franchisees' information from their websites, created its own list of our franchisees and started calling all of our franchise owners. The awful part was that Signpost's aggressive sales pitch to our franchisees was, "Corporate wants all franchise owners to sign up for our review platform." That was ABSOLUTELY UNTRUE. I was bombarded by phone calls and emails from franchise owners. Many were afraid we had given out their contact information. All were frustrated with Signpost's aggressive, relentless sales tactics.

I regularly contacted * about Signpost's sales tactics and the complaints from our franchisees, and the calls would stop. Six or eight weeks later, Signpost would start calling our franchisees again I knew this because every time Signpost resumed calls, I received complaints from our franchisees.

Toward the end, I told * that we were done with Signpost and to STOP calling our franchisees.

Regarding the pilot program we ran: The franchisee wasn't happy with the results, and most (90%) of the franchisees who fell prey to Signpost were unhappy with their results. The review platform just wasn't a good fit for us. The pilot program contract was for six months. However, Signpost continued to call the franchisee, claiming the contract was for a year, and saying the franchisee still owed money. I sent the signed contract to Signpost, and they apologized. A couple of weeks later, they were back at it, though, telling the franchisee the contract was for a year. It was absolutely ridiculous.

In addition to sales calls for its marketing and review platforms, Signpost contacted our franchisees trying to sell other services. It was a total racket. I've never dealt with such an unscrupulous, dishonorable, rotten company in my life.

Can't say enough bad things about this company. I fell for their marketing hype, and chose to sign up. To date, 4 months in I've received 0 leads that I didn't create myself, and I designed the Web pages they claim to do for you 90% on my own! They manipulate you into purchasing, and they can not deliver. Worst waste of money I've ever used.

Company called several times to offer services. They sold us on a system that get's us more referrals and good reviews. They use your list of customers and basically input them into an automated email system that sends them emails for reviews and referrals. They got us 1 booking and 2 reviews in 2 months. The 1 booking was from a previous customer that we already had. They spend all their time and resources on cold calling businesses and lying to them about their performance and spend nothing on the actual service they provide. We asked to make adjustments after 1 month because we were not getting results. That did not help at all. So after the second month we asked to cancel and they would not let us cancel. Even though they use tools that are already available for pennies on the dollar compared to their price. This company is such a scam. They make promises and lie about their success rate to get you to sign up and then don't let you cancel. Complete SCAM. Horrible experience. They need to be shutdown. I am so furious that this kind of a business is operated and everyone that works there should be ashamed. DO NOT LISTEN TO THEM IF THEY CALL YOU, THEY ARE LYING ABOUT THEIR PERFORMANCE AND THEIR RETENTION RATE. I never was aware a company like this could exist in the marketplace.
