“Nice soft cover shutterfly photo book, folded/damaged in delivery process.”

Firstly, my soft cover 8 X 11 book was expensive! The shipping of a small soft covered book was $10. The total cost was much more than the 2024 calendar I made just a couple months ago, which I was quite happy with. Also, upon delivery the book was bent on front page in two places. It was rolled into my mailbox instead of being left flat or delivered to the door. There was no extra support inside the envelop to prevent damage to the product. It was just put inside the envelop in its plastic cover with nothing to keep the product flat. Some of the layouts which extended over to the next page were not identified as a problem and thus they dont look good in the soft cover format, almost cut and folded. I even called to ask questions about this. I liked the embellishment and backgrounds offered very much. Many of my recent photos were great, but using older photos from pictures taken from photos, some were not so clear. This was a lifetime photo album for a 90 year old so old photos were included. Even photos from 1970-1980's were not as good as the current photos. Current photos were great! Taken by digital camera on phone rather than a film camera. Overall, I like the photo book and give this a 3+/4 rating.

I ordered 2 of 1 book and 2 others; 4 in total. 1 printed poorly, 1 damaged. Asked them to reprint, they sent the wrong ones, asked again, sent wrong ones again. I have 6 copies of one book now. Took months for them to get the order right. Perhaps this could have gone better if they hired people who had a good command of the English language. I couldn't understand them, they obviously didn't understand me. Quality of photo books was average. Won't use them again. Photo shows 5/6 books…1 was a gift.

1k prints Dull color Default crop is the top not center focal pt. All fotos = Sky. The peeps cut off

Tip for consumers:
They offered me a $10 gift certificate for future orders. They did not acknowledge why the crop would not default to the center focal point of a photo OR that there were no instructions to manually go into each photo upload edit tab to adjust the print area.

I have been generally happy with my products over the years. However, customer service has always been horrible. Most recently, I can not purchase one of my saved projects. What is infuriating is that I can not get in touch with customer support AT ALL. The phone support hangs up before anyone helps me, the live chat is only capable of sending self help, which is not working. So frustrating, time to find another place to manage photo memories.

Tip for consumers:
Products have been good in the past. Service is terrible!

I am trying to purchase products, this time I am unable to access my saved projects on their site. I feel they are holding my photos captive!

I ordered 2 photo blankets at the beginning of November. It's not the 10th of December and I have had to reorder both blanket 2 times then when I did finally received the blankets one was good the other one had 5 of the 9 heads cut off. When i reviewed my order it showed everthing was placed properly so I am no waiting on one blanket for the third time and being a Christmas gift it is prolly not Going to make it to me on time. When I called customer service because I live in canada they would not do anything to get it to me faster. So here I am playing the waiting game and stressing that it won't be here in time. The first photo is what I thought was coming... the second photo is what I actually got. Having said all that... the blanket was very nice and the pictures turned out beautifully just disappointed all the heads were cut off.

For the price of $39 I paid I expected much better picture quality. Ended up with a grainy canvas print on my father's day order. I have had much better experience with walmart canvas prints n they are much cheaper. I would never put Shutterfly prints on the wall.

We had a photo album made. The digital prints we had made at our local print shop were great. Hood color saturation, proper tone, and very nice. We sent over the same digital information to Shutterfly to have an album made, and the photos were so pale, washed out, and inaccurate. We called Shutterfly, and they reprinted the album, and it came exactly the same way... no changes. We called again, and they said they can't make sny corrections to the digital info given them. That's Bull. The other local printer had no problem color balancing... guess Shutterfly just doesn't have the technicians that know what to do. The people in the photos are Spanish, and they even have deep tans... the Shutterfly pictures are more pale than Shirley Temple, and they look TOTALLY washed out. Now we have 2 inferior quality albums... and they say they can't make them over.

A few months ago I ordered two of the same photo books, paying extra for "professional" printing. The reproduction was terrible so I called customer service and got a refund. I figured that was a fluke, so I made a separate photo book for another vacation. Again, I paid the extra $11.99 for professional printing and the result is the same: the photos look dull. After chatting online with someone who did not know much I called customer assistance. I was assured I will get a refund. What happened, Shutterfly? You used to be dependable. I won't use Shutterfly again.

This season I've had several issues with Shutterfly. The 3 biggest issues are the quality of the products, the Shutterfly app never allowing me to place my orders and the app and browser not sinking up with my created projects. 1. The quality of holiday cards has gone down. Last year our cards pictures had better quality/ clarity and the colors were more vibrant. I used the same photographer for both sets of Christmas cards. 2. I was never able to place my orders on your Shutterfly app after spending hours creating projects. When I called customer service ( 3 times total adding up to about 2 hours on the phone for numerous issues) I was told to go to a browser to place my order. The browser didn't show my calendar (took hours to make and have done my calendar on Shutterfly for three years) I couldn't get my calendar that order. 3. The Shutterfly browser didn't transfer over my other projects correctly. The kicker was that I couldn't Edit or even clearly see my projects in the browser because I made them in your app. Out of the numerous projects one order was correct when I received them. What stung the most was our Christmas card. On tge front was 1 wrong picture and was white on the back. I created the Christmas card to have 3 pictures on the back with snowflakes as the back ground and the kids ages for our friends and family to enjoy. Because your app to browser projects wouldn't allow me to edit or even see the back of my card I was very disappointed. I also ordered gold envelopes in the app and white came. Overall very disgusted with Shutterfly and will be using a different company next holiday season and for my child's birthday invites. I've been a loyal customer for years.

I have ordered from these guys. I love the stuff. Good quality and fair pricing with good sales. But after REPEATEDLY having my photos used in ways that are offensive and unfair to me and REPEATEDLY going rounds with customer service to cease and desist, I finally deleted the account. If you procede, DO NOT store pics on their site. DO NOT connect your account to social media or other people's accounts. You will get zinged.

They legit have taken 4 days late and still no updates on my package that I ordered about 2 weeks ago, which was been in my city for days, it's extremely late compared to the projection date that it was suppose to arrive and the no updates gives me more anxiety, because I payed for quicker shipping.

This is the second time I've placed an order through Shutterfly for a Christmas present. This time I ordered the gift three months in advance because LAST year when I ordered from them it took more than a month to get my package and I wasn't able to give it as a gift because it arrived AFTER Christmas.:(

This time it has been six weeks and I am STILL waiting on one of my items to be delivered. I cannot tell if it is disorganization on Shutterfly's part or if it is USPS, which I suspect it may be, but as long as they keep going through USPS I am NEVER ordering from them again. It's a nightmare. I'm going to just go ahead and buy my mom another gift because I don't know if this one will materialize by Christmas.

Mpix has much better quality anyway, so if you are ordering anything that has pictures that have been through post processing they are a much better bet. They're selection of personalized products is just a lot more limited.

I have ordered from Shutterfly for years however this last time, the pictures were terrible. The pictures were off center, heads were cut off on many of the pictures and there is no way to contact a person to speak with.
Would not recommend

After 30 minutes downloading photo and putting in discount code they tell me my home address is not valid it's Where I live The worst then charging a. 99 Covid fee WHAT!

When the product ordered does (eventually) arrive, the quality is decent. However, if you experience trouble with your order, or it is lost, good luck getting a customer representative!

So those Monopoly Free Shutterfly shopping bags etc... aren't really free. I ordered 2 free photo bags. I spent a lot of time on the projects and had a $12.00 shipping fee which took almost 2 weeks to arrive.The small envelope didn't weigh over 1 lb.

I USED to buy both my family and create my parents Christmas cards at Shutterfly. Due to issues with the site I switched to another brand. They had a design I liked so I thought I would give them a try. Regrets. The website was difficult with downloaded photos leaving the site and even the texting function was not working well in the design process.

The most disappointing was that my order was sent without more than half the envelopes. When I called to get them they told me it would take over a week to send them. This would make my Christmas cards not-so-Christmas cards. Could have been a easy fix with a priority 2 day ship. Did I mention they forget envelops in previous years? They did, but at least they knew how to correct the issue better back then. So I would say, their website and customer service is on the decline. No more Christmas Cards from this company.

On many instances, shutterfly will offer free gifts to new customers who sign up and even existing customers who purchase things from them. Don't let them trick you- it's not free. They say they're not charging you for the item but they charge you shipping fees which practically equal the price of the item itself.

I was ripped off because the app never converted my purchase to Canadian dollars. Beware! Was not expecting to have to pay an additional $70 extra. Plus they were late delivering and the quality is not worth it. Better off going with Costco's.

So Shutterfly has been around a long time. Used to be good. My experience the last couple months has sucked. 1) Ordered prints. If you upload a photo, click on "Order Prints," it has you pick the size and voila! Your are done. Made me assume the site automatically resized the pics to the selected size. Instead, my 8x10s of my soccer team ended up with the two boys on the outside chopped off. I contacted them, they kindly resent the prints. I said, "Are you sure these aren't going to have the outside cut off?" The rep said, "No - they will be perfect." Got the prints - they were no different than the first. 2) The free shipping method sucks. Shutterfly should dump it. I realize they aren't the shipper, but the UPS-USPS free shipping is horribly unpredictable. I got 1/6 shipments around the estimated time. Days went by for the other 5/6. UPS said I would have to have the shipper contact them since it appeared they were lost between UPS and USPS. Again, to Shutterfly's credit, they reprinted all the prints at no cost and shipped with a better method. Finally ended up with ALL the prints - eventually. 3) I ordered several hundred dollars of prints and framed photos as gifts. They had a sale THE NEXT DAY for 50% off everything. So my framed print, marked down from $154 to $102 was now only $90. But I ordered 3 of them - $36. So I realized I didn't necessarily deserve the additional discount, but thought I would ask. I didn't even bother with the prints that I also ordered that were also discounted more. I was told that I had been given a $36 gift cert / card - applied to my account. Days went by - nothing showed in my account. Rather than give up, I tried again and asked if they had records of the chat logs. Explained the conversation and the promise, but nothing in my account. Rep took FOREVER (maybe hoping I would go away?). Took her 30 mins to respond. She told me she had applied a $24 gift cert / card. So by this point it wasn't really the $, but the fact that they didn't follow through on what they said. First the rep who never really awarded a gift cert / card. Second, this rep who did it but for $24. I was like, "I'm done. Not trying to be unthankful, but everything with Shutterfly takes way too long and is way too hard." She apologized and then told me $36 had been applied. I refreshed several times and it never changed from $24. So I guess she was just lying to me at that point. She finally won for the additional $12 - because I finally quit the chat. A shame too because if you compare $12 to the future profit they could have made with better service and quality - they lost way more than $12. Oh well. There are plenty of other options.

Never shipped my item and I had to make multiple inquiries about my item. I had to ask multiple time to get a refund. So I canceled the item and will never use them again. Total trash

2020 Christmas cards didn't come.
Ordered my Christmas 2020 cards on Thanksgiving so I would get them early. Contacted Shutterfly in Dec 17. Put on hold for 30 minutes. Finally told that my cards have not left Shutterfly but they "promise" they will arrive at my house Dec 19 in 2 days. I spent $254 to not get Christmas cards. Asked to speak to a manager. None available after another 10 minute wait. Hmmm. Must be a lot of other unhappy customers. Asked for compensation. Told Shutterfly is not planning to compensate. I will be looking for another service that values it's customers.

After having shutterfly print my Christmas cards, graduation cards, memory books, large and small wedding prints for many years, I have decided to part ways with them. After placing a Christmas card order on December 1, I received shipping notification on December 3 stating delivery on the10th. Well, no cards were delivered. I checked tracking and now it says 'waiting for delivery to USPS '. On the 14th I called and was told it should have been delivered on the 10th, on the 15th I logged in for a chat the person was kind but had no information, I chatted again on the 17th, still nice person who had no information. Well I created an account with Walgreens and ordered my cards from them, 30 minutes later I was notified that they were ready. Walgreens will become my new printer.
Goodbye Shutterfly.

Items ordered Dec. 13, paid extra for "guaranteed delivery" promised by Dec. 20; Still waiting with possible receipt by Dec. 30. Shutterfly did not honor discount that was listed on website for the item I chose; customer service can do nothing about anything...

Disappointed from the start and nothing changed. Package came to my house in an envelope. Figured they would be better protected ordering pictures, and their standard 7-day shipping is $20... Could have gotten a flat rate envelope from USPS for $7.75 for the same size 2-day shipping. Whatever, only some of the corners were bent from shipping. Flipping through a couple and some of them are washed out and the resolution was terrible. Don't use if your photos are from a cell phone. I have them on my computer and can expand them pretty big without the resolution being affected, but apparently their software couldn't even do 5X7 or even 4X6 without looking terrible. Some of the pictures that were taken on a high performance (Sony A7RIII 42.4MP) camera came out nice, but definitely not happy about the other ones especially for the price.
