If you should dispute your order, they will ask you many times over to close it in order to help you. I disputed my purchase with the bank because I had attempted contact MONTHS after only buying the "Up in The Air" Pants. They did not get back to me, that is until i contacted my bank. Suddenly there was "an influx in orders and emails and we are doing our best to get back to you. Please refer to the FAQ for more information." I reviewed the FAQ long before contacting them. When they finally responded, they said they cannot change an address (which i had to move from emergently for a personal situation and it had been far too long anyway), and that they cannot offer refunds "as I accepted their terms and conditions at the time of purchase."
I ripped them a new one in one of my emails, and otherwise emphasized that this is a 2 way deal, in which they are failing to fulfill their side. I had accepted the terms and conditions per the time frame of retrieval they had initially provided, which was going to be MAX 2 months. Over the next few months we went back and forth, with them saying i need to close the chargeback before they can send my item. They tried to throw in some free earrings in after FINALLY allowing me to change my address on the order, and ultimately it was intriguing but I reinforced that if they don't have an accurate ETA or even know around when they should arrive, that it's not worth waiting. Eventually the bank allowed me my money back, so it had been cancelled and concluded.

They seem to look legit, with over a million (likely) bought followers on tiktok and verification. But with a quick google search or even TIKTOK search, you will discover that no one is getting their order in a timely manner. It really sucks because they have the cutest clothing listed, but if u can find the items anywhere else, do it.
Shekou is based in New Zealand if i remember correctly. On their website they state that they will win any bank disputes if someone should try, which looks shady in and of itself. Ultimately, this was my mistake for not researching the brands/dropshippers before attempting a purchase. Now I will check any store name i don't immediately recognize. I hope this will be helpful to anyone else. I have blocked out any of my personal info in the screenshots, but I'd like to provide receipts of some of my conversation with them. I left out a few besides the essential but ultimately there were about 12-13 emails that took place over the course of 4 months. Maybe it's not that serious but I'd prefer not to be scammed.

I bought from this company nearly 8 months ago (late March 2022). They are a terrible company. I thought that I was getting cute sustainable clothing for a decent price, however I was not. Do not believe the lies on TikTok, Instagram, etc. Those people are often sponsered ambassadors. Eventually I sent them an email in August after deciding that it was taking far too long for my order to be shipped. After they had promised for non pre-order items would ship out in 5-10 business days. They told me they could not refund or cancel the order and that I would just have to wait for however long it would take them to acutally get the product to me. So again I waited. I really at this point did not want the clothing, my style had completely changed and the clothes didn't really appeal to me anymore. I also had heard that the quality (when people acutally recieved their orders) was not good. I eventually sent another email recently in November 2022 and they told me that because of their refund policy they did not have to give me a refund. After reseaching their refund policy which is heavily based off of the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act, their refund policy and I quote is,We do not have to give a refund if you change your mind about a purchase so please choose carefully.The sale is final unless the item breaches a guarantee under the Consumer Guarantees Act, as such we will provide a remedy as required by the Consumer Guarantees Act." So I looked up the Consumer Guarentees Act and studied it. If you read the act, Shekou clearly breaches several points of the act. I wrote a very informed and angry email to them, explaining how their company had many violations, as well as screenshots proving my points. I also added that if they did not give me a refund, I would involve my lawyer. This seemed to scare them enough to give me a refund. If you are struggling to get a refund on some unwanted clothes, I just would tell you to read up on the Consumer Guarantees Act, and threaten to involve a lawyer (even if you actually don't have one, at least yet). This company digusts me and I hope that they go out of business soon so they will stop stealing money from innocent people. And I guess if you really want the clothes just wait, from what I've seen they might eventually get to you. In about a year or more. Here is an example of what I emailed the company. "According to the refund policy of Shekou company if the Consumer Guarantees Act is breached the company is required to refund the purchase. As agreed when I purchased the product the product was supposed to be shipped/ processed in 5-10 business days. That has not happened. In fact it has been a long time since I purchased the clothing (nearly 7 months). The Consumer Guarantees Act states that if the product does not arrive on time, within the agreed period, or within a reasonable time (if no delivery time is agreed) the consumer is allowed to reject the product and claim a remedy (refund). It also says in the Consumer Guarantees Act if there was not a specified time that the clothing should be made or shipped out, it should be within the time frame that it usually takes for a product to be made and arrive to the customer. I have researched and contacted several businesses to figure out the general time frame of how long it takes to manufacture clothing and most have come to around 1-2 months from start to finish. As you can see from the attached screenshots. As it has been 7 months, the time frame that has been established has been unkept and drawn out. I have tried to be patient and wait for the products to eventually arrive, but seeing how that has not happened I want my hard earned money back. If you do not issue a refund, I will involve my lawyer. This company breaches the Consumer Guarantees Act so badly that I'm surprised it's been in business for so long."
