Ordered then cancelled 2 stools over a week ago. Still no refund. Had confirmation from Aaron it was canceled... Then they show up. So back they went. Still no refund! Then I get a text saying I hv a delivery on way. Nope not for me. So they hv delivered something to someone's house. What a shabby service! Literally!

This company is appaling. They sell products they don't have in stock (taking payment straight away) and fail to deliver. I waited about 6 weeks for my product which never arrived, was promised a delivery date twice, both times the item did not turn up. Communication is very poor. I would avoid!

Disgusting customer service. I have paid for items that they had no stock of, they didn't even advise me of this and now I have been waiting for over 10 days for the items to arrive. A replacement, which were supposed to be sent out in 24 hours, that was Tuesday, we are now at Friday and I have received nothing, not even an email from them. I can't even get my money back. That's theft in my eyes and the customer service is totally rubbish. Now having to put a dispute through with Paypal. What is up with these suppliers. It's disgusting.

Do not buy from this company! 3 months ago before I ordered bedroom furniture (over £500). I emailed in advance to confirm that the items I wanted was not on pre order & it was confirmed they wasn't & would be delivered within 10 days. 2 ½ months later I still hadn't received them. One set of drawers were eventually delivered very damaged. I was told that part of the order was refunded as an apology, another lie. 3 times they have sent a courier to pick them & the courier refused to pick them up because of their size. I asked someone to ring me as there was no point in them booking couriers to collect & this keep happening. All requests for updates about refunding the remaining £300 has been ignored. Aaron finally got in touch on Saturday apologising & I was told a courier was coming Tuesday, it never came & my emails have again been ignored & they are not answering their phones.

I've been blocked on social media because I've been asking for someone to contact me. Please go elsewhere, this company is scamming people, they are able to post several advertisements daily but not able to reply to people that have spent hundreds of pounds. This is theft.

I ordered a jar& it came smashed. Aaron told me he would send a new one he never did or refund. I emailed so many times& tried to contact on the facebook page to find he deleted& blocked mine along with other peoples comments. He then emailed twice saying he had sent off a new jar... it never came. Company is a con.do not buy!

13 days still no sign of delivery being sent far from Happy. Requested for Full refund including delivery. Will never use this company again.

I wanted to order two dining chairs and had the option of buying them for £80 each and receiving them in 8 weeks or buying a bundle of two for £240 and getting them within 7 days. As I wanted these for Christmas I chose to pay the higher cost. I placed the order on 6th December. Seven days passed and no chairs. I contacted them and was told it was ten days even though their website stated seven. To cut a long story short they were making excuses all the time. On 21. 12. 21 I was told I would get the chairs in 72 hours this would have been Christmas Eve. I knew there was no way this was going to happen. Christmas came and went and at this point I now wanted a refund. I contacted CAB who told me my rights and guided me on what to do next. They then said that they couldn't cancel the order as it had already been despatched. There were numerous emails sent all to no avail. I also asked what was the difference between the bundle of chairs and buying them singular bedsides the price and was told that there was no difference just the price. I did get my money back eventually minus the delivery cost which I should have had because nothing was ever delivered. I got on to them and finally had all my money back. It took me several weeks but I got there in the end. I think they've gone into receivership now.

Tip for consumers:
AVOID AT ALL COSTS !!! This is a company who take your money knowing they don't have the items in stock then continually tell you that you will be getting it in a few days.

Cancelled my order due to delays but getting my money back has proved impossible. I am being fobbed off with emails that the money will be refunded but I'm still waiting!
This company are quick to take your money but not keen to return it.

Awful firm, i requested to cancel my order which they did but a week later took the payment from my bank so £139.50 taken and nothing to show for it and they ignore all correspondence.

If only I had read the reviews before placing my order. The Shabby Store goes from one extreme to another and unfortunately the bad end of the spectrum is very, very bad!

I placed an order with over 2 months ago and they knew full well when the order was placed and the money was taken they did not have the items in stock. They still don't! The blaming it on covid-19 and we are working from home excuses have now worn very thin!

There was no notification sent to say the items were not in stock when I placed the order, I only found out when I chased them to find out where my order was. Since then I have to contanstly chase, the last email I received from them was on 3 June. I have now cancelled my order and requested a refund... I have absolutely no idea how long that will take.

After a lenghty search I have managed to find the same items in stock and cheaper elsewhere...

Awful awful customer service / policy

My first purchase with shabby store was on 31/12/2020 for a console table. A number of their products are advertised at pre order and on the website it will state the month it will be delivered e. G "pre order for January delivery".
The console table was advertised as pre order for February delivery. I patiently waited and on the 11th March I emailed asking where the order was, I receive a reply the next day telling me the console table wasn't available until early April. I was a bit disappointed it was a little longer but In all honesty there wasn't a rush so I was happy to wait. Of their own accord Shabby store told me they added a small glass jar as an apology. I was contacted on 20th April to tell me it would be delivered the next day which was too short notice for me and I eventually got the console at the beginning of May which is 2 months after the initial preorder time period of February. I have to say the console table is excellent quality and I loved it so much I was happy to forgive the events of that purchase, although I never actually revived the ‘apology' jar….

I returned to shabby store for my second purchase of a set of boxes, and two glass jars on 27/06/21.

The boxes and 1 jar was preorder for July delivery. The other glass jar wasn't stipulated as preorder on the website so I expected the normal delivery time of 5-10 days.
The jars were a 50th birthday present for the beginning of August.

Once again I have received no correspondence until I contacted them on 29/07/21.

My request was to cancel the jars as they wouldn't arrive in time for my mums birthday but again because of the quality of their items I was happy to hold out for the boxes as they are for me.

I received a reply the same day and was told I could cancel but only be entitled to a credit note.
I found this quite cheeky in all honesty, as the items haven't even been dispatched, later in the email correspondence I was told the jars are preorder for August and the boxes will be with me next week.

So it appears they don't even have the jars in stock until August so why is it such an issue to refund my money for gods they don't even have.

I have clearly pointed out one of the jars was never a preorder item, and at the time of purchase the other jar and was preorder for July.

I have provided a screenshot to them of their purchased confirmation email which clearly shows one of the jars isn't preorder.
Unfortunately the preorder items just show as preorder and the month isn't shown on the email.

I have waited 33 days so far for delivery, the delivery I have also paid for.

In my emails I have quoted the consumer rights regulations which quite clearly state companies should deliver within the time period in this case ‘July' or within 30 days or you're entitled to a full refund. Shabby store by their own admission have no intention of delivering in July.
In the email response from shabby store it the legislation or my evidence hasn't even been acknowledged.

The reason for my review is not the quality of the items because in all fairness their items are lovely, but the review is for the unfairness and the manner in which they sell the items.

In my case the delivery time period has not been met, they aren't acknowledging my evidence or legislation surrounding consumer rights and by their own admission they don't even have the items to deliver. Pre order for august is not good enough, and by my previous experience it wouldn't arrived in August either!

I would suggest you buy from somewhere else, because if it goes wrong it's particularly bad and they don't seem to care as long as they get your money. Why would anyone want a credit note with a company who don't correspond and don't deliver on time.
If you do purchase from them on a preorder get an additional email confirming the preorder delivery month for your own piece of mind, as by coincidence they don't record it! So unless you have a screenshot of the items on the website they could try and fob you off by telling you how the items are currently advertised as they are trying to do with me.

I think I've put a fair case forward, and I don't think asking for a refund is unfair.

I placed an order on 25th March for 3 items from Shabby Store. I received delivery of one of the items within a week which was fine but there was no sign of the other 2 items and no communication from them regarding this. After a phonecall to chase these up, I received an email telling me one of the items would be dispatched the following day and the other was not due in with them until 17th April. No issue with this at all. When the 2nd item arrived, it was of VERY poor quality - the paint was marked and had run, and the fixings were all discoloured. They replaced these after 10 days, again, which was fine. I waited for 2 weeks after the 17th April for the 3rd item to arrive but never heard from them so called to chase up. I made a futher 20 odd phone calls over the next 3 weeks and was told each time that my enquiry was marked as urgent and that someone would call me back. There was never anyone available that was in a position to help with online orders when I called. Not once did anyone have the courtesy to return my call. I did finally receive an email on 8th May to say the package would be dispatched the following day. A week later - still no package! I eventually got a call back on the 16th May (from someone proporting to be the new owner) after I threatened to go to my bank and report them as a scam operation. I finally received the parcel on the 20th.

After all of this hassle - 20 calls and at least 15 emails, I was offered a 15% discount on my next purchase. When I reminded the owner that a 15% discount is what they send several times a month to everyone on their mailing list, I was then (grudgingly) offered 20% (after waiting almost another week for the owner to reply to my email). I politely declined advising her that I'd take my business elsewhere and that her new business venture would be very shorted lived if this is how they treat their customers.

I strongly advise anyone thinking of using this company to avoid at all costs. Their customer service is non-existant, the items mostly come from Coach House (which is available from many other online retailers for similar prices) and, from what I've seen, their other items are of very poor quality.

THE single worst customer service experience I have ever encountered.

Absolutely horrendous experience.
I ordered a couple of items from the site that said they where IN STOCK, only to be told they would'nt arrive until Autumn, 8 MONTHS LATER!
A day later they had an Easter discount on said items, so I emailed to asked if the the discount could be applied, being as I'd only ordered a day after the discount period, and due to a VERY LONG WAIT! For IN STOCK ITEMS!
Was told quite bluntly by James NO!
So i cancelled my order, and i would most definitely would NOT recommend to anyone.
Shabby store is a very apt name for very shabby service.
They also try to deny the negative reviews as being fake so clearly in denial and arrogant too!

Ben made an order with us for 3 items in total, 2 gold canisters and a gold buddha head. The canisters where a seasonal item and they were unfortunately not going to arrive back into stock until Autumn. The Budha head was in stock in our main warehouse and we would be receiving it at the beginning of next week. For this we apologies and occasionally items do become out of stock.

There is nowhere on our site that actually tells you if the item is in stock. We have so many items on our site that our sales team deal with every item upon receipt of order. If an item is out of stock, discontinued or has a longer that usual lead time we will notify our customer. On our delivery and returns tab we explain that some items have a longer than usual lead time. This can be viewed on the tabs section on every listing.

We offer discounts to customers on a regular basis. Discounts can vary from time to time to push certain products, seasons or styles. If we offered yesterdays or tomorrows discounts to every order we would just have a fixed price discount constantly. For this there is no reward for returning customers or new customers, so the codes are only valid between the set days and times. We also do this so that we can keep track exactly what responses we got from certain codes at certain times.

After hearing the phone call the response was" No I'm sorry we can't" Conversation continued... The though of a blunt NO is very alarming for us hence why we checked the call log.

I have bought a few times from shabbystore as there items are just amazing... however I recently had a slight issue with one of my items (glassware) and had to request for a replacement... they responded on the same day and I had my new item by the following day... simply amazing :)

Oh my good gosh. For the first time in my thirty something years I feel compelled to write a review. I have had such an awful time with this company.
Don't get me wrong the people are polite on the phone but sadly come into the nice but useless category.
I ordered an item for my sisters birthday at the beginning of September. On the website it stated 8-10days for delivery. Two weeks later it still hadn't arrived so I contacted the store who advised it had been delayed (nice of them to mention) and may take another fortnight (too late for my sisters birthday but she's my sister she'll understand). After another two weeks still no delivery so I contacted again. Maybe the beginning of December? They said so I waited but still no item. Next they say maybe in January?... Now I'm stupid but not that stupid so I say No on the 5th of December I want a refund... well 1month later there is no refund so I email ShabbyStore, twice, who do not respond and now today 9 Jan I call them on my first day off work in ages just be told that I have been refunded. (like I didn't check my account first!). I most certainly have not had a refund. Apparently the man at the store is going to find the transaction number so that I can spend the rest of my only day off in ages running around after this awful company.
It's up to you. But don't say I didn't warn ya!
