I was having a problem with my garage door not closing properly. I contacted select home warranty and relayed my problem to them. The next day i received a service call from King Garage Doors from Bartlett Illinois, advising me they would be at my home later in the day. They kept me updated as to when service tec would be at my home. The problem with my door was taken care of. I'm very happy with the service from King Garage and Select Home Warranty.

“Horrible home warranty company”

DO NOT sign up with them! Purchase home warranty back in September of 2023 based on an advertisement I received in the mail they claiming that they provide Free roof leak coverage! When I wanted to use them this winter for my roof leak, they denied it. So far I had 3 different issues that they denied all of them. Horrible company and Big Scam! They charged me $75 to cancel my membership?! They are ripping of people! All their agents are located outside US!

I was selling a house, and needed a home warranty to make the home more attractive to prospective buyers. This company had favorable reviews online and was not the most expensive.

Bruce was very easy to work with. I came out of this experience very happy and conformable with the promised coverage. If I had to stretch and give a negative, it was being put on hold for a moment by Bruce. I was busy at work trying to knock out the sign up quickly. Other than that. Very smooth. All the coupons and deductions are great, but kind of corny and obvious that those offers and specials are customary. Nonetheless, seems to be a great package. I was very relieved and satisfied in the fact that I wanted to do 5 years, but can't afford it now, but Bruce worked with me and got me a 3 year deal for the same price, essentially.

Did some research to see which warranty company would fit my needs. Had many questions and Chase was very helpful and made it easy to go with Select Home.

I purchased the warranty and never received my coverage documents from via email like I was told. When I called back to question this. The agent was very apologetic and corrected the issue in under 2 minutes. Since I do value my time, it was good service that he recognized it and worked as quickly as possible. So far so good. I will write another review if I have to do a claim to cover what happens with an actual service call. But for now they seem like a pretty good service for the money.

The Select home warranty was priced well and the representative gave me options for several years coverage which I did not order, but it was offered

Sales Rep was quick to the point to provide information since I have been a customer already 2017. I would have liked a discount as a renewal customer. Please stop going up so much every year. I paid $350 and this year $450.

Courteous, fast and polite. Answered all my question. Very knowledgeable customer representative. Wasn't expecting such a fast response. Just waiting on the Tech, to get set up, and back running.

This is my second year with select home warranty. Even though I have never filed a claim. So far their customer service is very great. If I get a chance to have to file a claim I'll write a review on the service given.

I just joined in February. All humming along well until June when both my DW and Washer go out. It's Corona virus so I've been using both appliances EVERY DAY, multiple times a day, probably more than I ever have. Will only speak to the submission process for claim. The on line was fine but since I didn't know how long it would take to process, I called customer service, who then took the claims over the phone and immediately issued claim #'s. Let's see how long it takes for a local provider to call and schedule an appointment and how the 2nd half of this experience goes. SO FAR, SO GOOD! I'm happy to have been able to file a claim quickly and easily and am very glad customer service picked up the phone. To be continued...

Everyone was very nice and accommodating at the warranty company. I didn't get the full amount I needed for the compressor but the reason was clearly written in detail on the warranty documents they emailed me. So please read your warranty to the very end so that you have a clear understanding of your responsibilities in the care of your home. There are things you have to keep up with if you own a home, like flushing the hot water heater if you have a tank. Another thing is to have your air conditioner and heating systems checked annually as well. These things will ensure that if something goes wrong, you will have met your warranty requirements. Don't think that every little thing that a heating and air check has to be done. If the price is astronomical, get a second opinion. The annual check should cost no more than $50.00 for most units.

We had an intermittent problem with the cooling in our fridge/freezer. I processed the claim by phone. A repairman came out the next evening- super convenient. He was very nice. In the end the cost of the repair was worth more than the value of the fridge. We will end up replacing it and get reimbursed for the value of the fridge, which was really low. That was the only not great part, but it was probably accurate for a 16 year old refrigerator. By far the best part was the quick appointment with the knowledgeable, friendly repair person.

We filed our first claim for an air conditioning issue. It took longer than I would expect to get approval and even then it was only after a couple emails did I finally get a positive answer.

Signing up was a breeze. Hope to never need it, but a peace of mind is worth it. Option to have multiple home discount or switch policy to new residence is a relief.

Had a very satisfying discussion about home warranties with the sales rep on the phone, he explained the benefits and answered all my questions and I ended up purchasing a home warranty. Very pleased with the purchase!
