Per my previous review, I mentioned I would strongly consider ordering office furniture from seatingmind.com. They did not disappoint this frequent flyer! Our organization has grown, and we were in need of a new reception desk office chair. The boss appreciates high quality, and I appreciate an opportunity to save a little money where we can, while still maintaining that standard. Found a GREAT refurbished Herman Miller chair that was absolutely perfect for the space and added a touch of class to our reception area. I love it and again highly recommend seatingmind!

I purchased a Herman Miller Chair from Seating Mind. The chair arrived with a defective lumbar support. I notified the company and they offered to send a replacement part which I would have to install myself. I am a 72 year old woman without the ability to do that. I chose to return the chair and they are charging me a 20% restocking fee to restock a defective chair. Do not do business with this company.

I wish I could give them a worse rating. They falsely advertised a chair I purchased as new, unused, over purchased stock from a company during covid. The chair they sent was heavily used, the armrest looked as if a dog had chewed on it for a year. The base had freshly painted silver spray paint that rubbed off on my hands and clothes. The upgraded casters I paid extra for, were completely missing. I immediately reached out to the company to let them know I needed to reject the delivery (which they wouldn't answer their phones), so had to email. I received an email reply 3 days later asking if i'd just keep the chair for a discount. I told them no, that I it wasn't the chair advertised and needed to be returned for a full refund. It took them almost 2 weeks before they sent me a return label, for which they are charging me to have UPS pick it up from my location. These guys are a loser company — stay clear of them! My next stop is BBB.

Your ranking of 4+ Stars on this site is inaccurate and false. You show 12 negative revies in 2023 and you still rank them from their very first one.

I gave them a 1 star only because there are none lower. These guys are pure scammers, con men. Tell your family, tell your friends NOT to go anywhere near these guys. I placed an order over 3 months ago, they double charged my bank, refunded only one charge, and have refused to pay me back the rest of the money they took from me.

The cylinder on my chair is defective. I'll set the chair at the desired height and within 30 minutes the chair has sunk to the lowest setting. Seatingmind will not let me return the chair without a thirty minute video showing the sinking. Terrible customer service. Very disappointed. When paying $600 for a chair, you expect it not to have functional defects and now the burden of proof is on me? Go elsewhere!

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY - the chair I received was dirty and broken. Customer service is hiding behind email and will not handle the problem but just wants to deny. Will be reporting this company to AG and BBB

These ppl are the worst! First of all their website is very misleading! A friend of mine ordered a chair thinking it was new but it's actually used/refurbished. It didn't say anything on the top. We only saw that it's refurbished at the very bottom where ppl can easily miss it. And their customer service is a joke.
If used chair is what you want, check Craigslist, Ebay, or FB market place where you can physically see the product before paying for it.

I don't understand why this company has as high of a rating on here as they do since everywhere else they are low. If I could leave no stars I would. If I could leave negative stars I would. This is the worst company in the longline of bad companies. First of all do yourself a favor and google them. Every website has them with 1 star. Every review you find tells a horror story of dealing with them. If you look them up on Better Business Bureau, you'll find that they have had their certificate revoked.

I bought one of their chairs in July. Received it end of July and within a month it broke. The cylinder and the seating frame. When I reached out to them they wanted proof, so I gave them proof then instead of replacing the entire chair, they sent me parts expecting me to fix it myself. One of the parts I even had to fight for because at first they weren't going to help me with everything. It was only when I reminded them of their 12 yr warranty that they reversed their decision and sent me the parts I needed. When the parts came I didn't expect the fixing process would be as difficult as it was but it was so difficult that they sent me a video that poorly walks you through fixing the chair and surprises you with tools that are a must have in order to fix the chair. So I had to buy tools I never intended to buy just to fix this chair. Then while fixing the chair and following the directions of the video they sent me, the new cylinder broke.

Now they refuse to replace my cylinder and are telling me I can buy a new one. Again their warranty is for 12 yrs and this is covered under that and yet they refuse to honor it. It has been several months now of me fighting them to honor their warranty but they refuse.

Lenna the customer rep is one of the worst humans you will ever deal with. She cares nothing about helping you or even treating you like a customer. All she cares about is getting more money from you. These are horrible people that literally belong behind bars. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM.

I can't stress enough how shady they are and they will not honor their warranty if anything breaks. They take no accountability, they do not respond to phone calls, their response time in emails is horrendous and they make you fix your own chairs! Please do yourself a favor and boycott this company. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!

HORRIFIC! Please do not order from this company! We purchased a NEW office chair not a refurbished chair, and they sent us not only a used chair but a damaged chair that was absolutely filthy with hair and some other substance all over it. They are charging a restocking fee to have me return their damaged chair. I also have to pay to have UPS pick it up because the chair is too big to put in my large SUV. The customer service was rude and unresponsive. Do NOT buy from them!

Unfortunately, this company will send you a disgustingly dirty, VERY used chair. Then they will give you a hard time for trying to return it, despite their satisfaction guaranteed. Then, after they receive your return, they won't refund the money, and they ignore any attempts to contact them about it. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE.

We received a chair that had bad hydraulics and from the day 1 it sank every time I sat in it. Customer service line never picked up and my husband left several messages over the course of six months. I myself left two voice messages for their customer service line. Finally, I emailed them and the response was "we don't know why your chair smells and since you waited so long to tell us, we can't help you". Note, I said the chair "sinks". This is the WORST chair and the WORST customer service ever. Now we are stuck with a lemon. DO NOT BUY from this company.

We purchased our Herman Miller chair about 3 years ago and were very pleased. They one day the hydraulic cylinder failed. The seat went to the floor and would not come up. I contacted SeatingMind, they directed me to the warranty page which stated "The warranty covers the entire chair's mechanics for 12 years from the date of purchase". But customer service response was "Since the chair has been in your possession for 3 years and it worked just fine the cause of the cylinder failing is NOT under our responsibility". How's that for a 12 year Mechanical warranty.

Purchasing is nice but 12 year warranty is a lie. So when it breaks you just threw your expensive purchase out the window

After not hearing from them for the first 2 weeks after placing the order, I reached out to their customer service who promised the chair "would ship in the next 7-10 days". Now 6 weeks in and still no chair. They've also become unresponsive. STAY AWAY FROM THIS VENDOR.

Impossible reviews. This site must be a scam too. All I can find are complaints and negative reviews of Seating Mind. The company is known for damaged goods and non-delivery of orders, refusal to cancel or give refunds even within 2 hours of placing order. Customer service is non-existent. Seating Mind is no longer authorized to do business per Department of Treasury. Check out Better Business rating and review.

I've bought 2 Aeron Chairs, site said it was "open-box". They arrived and were ridiculously used – more than 10 years or use. It's a shame to call it "open-box" in the first place. On top of that, both were incredibly dirty, with lots of grease and hair stuck in the wheels, and one was simply broken – one arm rest wasn't moving sideways as it should. Ridiculous used stuff sold without the most basic cleaning nor refurbishment as "open-box". After a long discussion, they accepted to take one back, I've shipped it to UPS and they never refunded a single penny! They claim "the refund system is broken"! It is ridiculous, I wish I had researched more before buying, because it is not unfair to call those folks scammers!

I feel like they are out here trying to scam people. Cation ordering from this website. They're 5 star reviews look like bot reviews. Nothing about them are 5 stars lol. If you look at the 1 star reviews you'll see people in the same boat I was in. Im going to do everything in my power to have Google remove this scam site from top searches.

After a very lengthy wait I received my chair. It is Dirty and Broken. It came in multiple pieces - Wheel Base - hydraulic cylinder lift - chair seat - pieces from bottom of the chair were coming off - chair back was in 2 pieces. I don't recall "Assembly required" being on the website. Not only that it was Dirty. Very disappointed. I'm sorry I purchased from this company.

I ordered some chairs from them. They were supposed to be all black and one came with a light grey seat so I contacted the via email since they have no way to call. They said they were sending out the correct seat but it would take a couple weeks to get there. Upon arriving 4 weeks later. It was the wrong color again. They said it was now past the 30 day return policy and they are not going to do anything else to redo the problem. They said we sent a seat that's all we are going to do. Would never use this business and would recommend it to anyone. The customer service is a joke and they don't seem to care that I spent $1200 and it's the wrong chair. Run from this company and find a reputable vendor.

Complete rip off. Cant get on phone ever. Ordered a chair on dec 19th. As of Jan 2nd was still pending. No communication etc. I cancelled the order. Was told would have the refund within a week, of course it took two weeks and its short 60 dollars. My guess is they took a restock fee for a chair they never sent, never got even to ship status. Buyer beware.

The phone number my credit card has for them goes to positive stars, which is a company that helps boost their ratings online. They obviously need it.

My wife purchased a chair through seatingmind.com on December 1 2022 for $347.99 as a Christmas Gift. The chair did not fit our desk and we returned it under their return policy within the timeframe they had designated. They received the returned chair on January 12. We had not received the refund by Jan 22 and inquired and they indicated that the refund was processed "but still pending" and we should check again in 14 days. On April 22 we had still not received the refund and contacted them again. They indicated "it seems the refund did not go through the first time I issued it" and "it should come through in 3-4 business days". I reached out again on April 30 when it still hadn't been received. I also asked for someone to call me and tried calling them but only got a recorded message telling me to contact them by e-mail. This time they asked for our PayPal address. On May 11 we still had not received the refund either to our credit card or PayPal and I reached out again. This time no reply at all. Better Business Bureau indicates for Seating Mind that "As of 2/10/22, this business's Certificate of Formation or Authorization has been revoked by the New Jersey State Treasurer." Reviews on the BBB site give it a rating of 1.8 out of 5. We are extremely disappointed with this business.

On April 28,2022, our small organization spent $6650. 00 on their site for 14 office chairs. Two of the 14 arrived missing parts and one arrived with a defective seat. First, they told us to disassemble the seat and they would send us a new seat. We do not have the tools to do so. And we relayed that to them.

Then they told us to return the chair and they would replace it with another one. It's been weeks and we are still arguing with the customer service department about getting replacement chair and the two parts for the other chairs.

They won't provide a box to send back the defective chair, although their website stated that they would. And, to add insult to injury, the website says we have to pay for the box, which we agreed to do.

But now they won't provide one. NEVER AGAIN.

Worst company I've dealt with and I'm been running organizations for four decades. Tell everyone to avoid them at all costs.

I bought a $900 chair from them. When it arrived the box looked like it had been dropped off the top of their warehouse, holes in the side of the box, and 2/5 wheels had broken off and were actually missing from the box(holes in box). They were very delayed in responding to inquiry, made me send photos several times, offered to send me paint and replacement wheels even though there was extensive visual damage, and when they finally sent me return shipping label(and also denied a replacement chair) they delayed in refunding and when they finally did, they tried to charge a restocking fee which I am currently rejecting via credit card. This was a bizarre transaction and a first for me.

Once you send these folks money, they are impossible to get a hold of. If you call, they say they will get back to you within 1 business day - that does NOT happen. I've been waiting over a month to get some assistance with a purchase I made from them and they simply don't get in touch! So frustrating!
