I hate this bank! I have been a member since the 90's when it was good and always loved this bank but the past 7 year they have gone wayyy down hill! The El Cajon branch, Carmel mt and Rancho Bernardo offices are terribly rude and they have no consistency or knowledge when you ask a question. They barely work and act inconvenienced to help you in any way! Many of the csr's at the desks are so rude and arrogant! I never thought I'd have to deal with narcissistic behavior from customer service reps they sigh and grown if you ask a question and they won't get help because they think they are always right! I had one guy from the El Cajon branch prequalify me for an auto loan and I told him the car I was looking at he told me i was an idiot if I buy that car and I needed to get some car he liked! He went on and on for 30 min wasting my time about his fav car and convincing me like a salesman that everyone he knows buys this car and that's what I should do I just wanted to leave! When I got my mortgage loan through them the loan rep would not respond sometimes for days and totally dropped the ball in the beginning so we had to push our escrow period from 30 days to 45. The last week I was waiting for status on the loan and she would just say she didn't know if or when the loan will fund on time... we were so stressed living in hotels and not knowing if our loan would go through on time or if we needed to book more hotels. They just always seem to add more stress to any situation I dread dealing w this bank! A year after we bought our home we got a refi offer from another bank that seemed like a great deal with no transfer fees so it was worth doing a refi but I thought of a calling my bank to see if they could match or beat it. They guy went on and on about how he doesn't make special exceptions for people they offer the same "great" (crappy) rate to everyone and there are always fees for refi so I probably don't understand the offer clearly from the new bank! Funny how they always blame the customer for being an idiot and not understanding anything! So after telling him what I had he was no help at all then I got an email about how great their bank is and they offer great rates w no fees! I don't know why they guy didn't informed me they had a refi with no fees! He wasted my time and I don't even care to investigate their rates because they are so uninformed and unprofessional! They have zero customer service skills and it's really clear that customers come last to them!
