I have also seen some scammers misuse ScamAdviser for scamming companies. I hope ScamAdviser will soon find a way remove scammers trash talking about companies, scamming companies and lying customers about their bad experience with the company.

Hi Wojciech,
Indeed, it is a difficult task when the entire internet has the possibility to leave a comment on the millions of ScamAdviser review pages. We are a small team and remove comments that we find that breach our policies. If you see one yourself, it is best to report it directly to us so that we are immediately alerted. If it is your own business that is being reported or has fake comments, then you can also "claim" your company page. This allows you to have more direct contact with our team about issues such as this. I hope that helps to restore some faith in what we are trying to do at ScamAdviser.

Hi Depak,
ScamAdviser does not ask for money from anyone. If anyone approaches you asking for money and claims to be from ScamAdviser, that is a scam.
If you believe that the trust score for a website on ScamAdviser is incorrect, then you can request manual verification. Once again, ScamAdviser never asks anyone for money.
If you have evidence of ScamAdviser or someone pretending to be ScamAdviser extorting you for money, then I suggest you report it either to us directly or law enforcement.

Scamadviser purports to serve as a custodian of online legitimacy, but the operational methods and outcomes of the platform are considerably lacking. The entity employs an opaque algorithm that appears more predisposed towards sowing chaos than generating fair and data-driven evaluations.

Engaging in a blatant strategy of avoidance, the company sidesteps any accountability for the inaccuracies it promulgates. Rather than relying on verifiable data, the platform appears to place undue reliance on a non-transparent algorithm that disseminates disinformation, thereby contributing to a toxic online environment.

In summary, Scamadviser is not merely deficient in its self-assigned role as a guardian of online legitimacy; it actively contributes to a less secure and reliable digital ecosystem. For those seeking honest and transparent evaluations, it would be advisable to look elsewhere. Scamadviser falls short of meriting your trust.

I cannot express my frustration enough with Scamadvisor.com. This so-called "service" is nothing more than a platform that seems to derive pleasure from unfairly labelling young and budding websites as scams without any legitimate basis. It's like they have a vendetta against anyone trying to establish themselves online.

I recently started a website with all the good intentions of providing useful content and services to users. To my shock, Scamadvisor.com had already slapped a big, red "Scam" label on my site, just because it was new and lacked extensive online history. There was absolutely no consideration for the efforts I had put in or the legitimacy of my intentions.

It's outrageous how they claim to provide valuable information about the trustworthiness of websites while relying on flimsy metrics and algorithms that seemingly have no regard for context. It's as if they're using a sledgehammer to address a delicate issue. Young websites, especially those of small businesses and individuals, can be unfairly tarnished by this reckless labeling.

What's worse is that Scamadvisor.com doesn't seem to care about the consequences of their actions. They're not responsible for the damage they cause to the reputation and credibility of these young websites. It's easy for them to play judge and jury without being accountable for the harm they inflict.

If you're looking for accurate and fair assessments of websites, I strongly advise you to steer clear of Scamadvisor.com. It's a biased, irresponsible, and harmful platform that preys on the vulnerability of new websites, potentially ruining their chances of success based on unfounded claims. This website is the real scam, misleading users and damaging the online ecosystem.

There's a lot of bogus reviews on this platform and Trustpilot, some reviewing the wrong products or service (their top positive review is about lubricants, not scam identification), some which look like they are generated by bots, and some (at least in fairness) where people are just negatively reviewing this website because they fell prey to a scam themselves. However, dig a bit deeper into the negative reviews and you'll see a pattern increasingly emerging. Go onto Trustpilot, select the list of 1-star reviews and you'll see that these are often the most coherently written - competent, articulate, legitimate business owners complaining because they have been wrongly listed. The number appears to be increasing at the moment, while the site leans too heavily on flawed tech - this last week, there seems to have been a 1-star review every day, most complaining due to the targeting of low-traffic / newly-established websites. This site says they do manual reviews of websites, but that involves handing over personal documents and info which this company does not have the right to own, and at a guess sells on to third parties. They claim they do not ask for any money from these manual reviews, yet they appear to be making money somehow; it requires funds to set up and maintain such a large website and technological system, so it must be financially viable at some level of the operation. You have to wonder what benefits the staff of this company get from this operation; it can't just be the 'feel good factor'.

You can check the link profile of Scamadviser.com (linking sites that boost their search engine ranking), it is full of bought, irrelevant and fake links. This is the first sign that you are dealing with an unreliable company. Conclusion: Scamdaviser.com is the very thing that it warns others against.

Those of us in the USA are under ZERO obligation to hand over any data to this brand new on the horizon AI-driven website called ScamAdvisor. It is beyond reprehensible for them to override US laws related to starting a website with their own "AI criterion" and demand compliance. How New World Order totalitarian can you get? I would recommend that every American company contact the FTC and report ScamAdvisor as SCAM. I, for one, will never share my data with this company in the NETHERLANDS at the following address: Keurenplein 41
UNIT A6311
1069CD Amsterdam
The Netherlands
I do not trust your AI system and I do not trust you. You are the ones hiding YOUR identity under the About page with only a reference to "Marc" as the owner. Give me a break!

I was unhappy with another site's poor quality product, attempted to use ScamAdvisor to write a review about it; they were the only service of its type to have an entry on the specific site I was unhappy about, but not only did they require me to create an account (without warning me of this when I attempted to make a review), when I wasted time trying to make an account they rejected my review entirely, stating that the "review limit per IP address" was reached, despite me never having used the site prior to this interaction. Don't waste your time setting anything up on this site!

Very impressed with the company. My order was processed before my payment was received. Luis was very courteous when we talked. Listened to me and assured me everything would be handled as per my order. I could not have found a better place to shop. Prices are fantastic in comparison to locals. Even though your order takes a tad bit longer to arrive, "It is worth the wait". Hats off to Luis!

From the business

Scamadviser helps over 2.5 million consumers every month to discover if a website is legitimate or a scam.

The website was founded in 2012 by Marc. Marc had bought golf clubs online and quickly discovered they were fake. He tried to get his money back to no avail. Out of frustration, he started Scamadviser to help online shoppers make well-informed decisions before buying online.

Scamadviser helps consumers making their online shopping decisions by rating websites with the Scamadviser Trust Score. The algorithm of Scamadviser utilizes 40 independent data sources. From the IP address of the webserver, the availability of contact details on the website, the age of the URL, ratings on review sites, and much much more.

The Scamadviser formula is constantly evolving and is continuously being improved. If you feel a website Trust Score is not correct, please feel free to contact us.

Scamadviser is since 2018 part of the Ecommerce Foundation, an independent organization working with NGOs, ecommerce associations worldwide, and other ecommerce institutions with a mission to foster global digital trade.

Apart from Scamadviser, the Ecommerce Foundation publishes 20+ free ecommerce reports annually about how to sell online in 50+ countries. It is the host of EcommerceWiki.org, an online community for 30.000 Ecommerce Professionals and the initiator of Safe. Shop, the Global Ecommerce Trustmark.
