I first heard about satellite phones from Mike Adams aka "the health ranger." I have been putting this purchase off for a couple of years and after what happened in Maui decided to pull the trigger. I called and spoke with Alvin who was very professional. He patiently went over the phone options and costs and answered all my questions. He convinced me I could obtain these phones within my budget. It was the best investment I have made in a while! I have a strong feeling that these phones will not only help me and my husband, but our neighbors as well!

I notified them to suspend service on my month to month contract. They acknowledged the call log and request but continued to bill me saying I didn't conform to their suspense policy. They apologized for their "communication error" not inform me to also email a request but still won't reverse their billing. A low class company, and often a sign in financial trouble.

Tip for consumers:
Sales driven company with very poor after sale service. They make it difficult to suspend month to month service even after acknowledging your request. They'll continue to bill for unused service. I will find another Iridium service provider.

We had purchased a satellite phone due to places we go with no or very poor service. We were excited to buy this since they said it was made in the USA. When we received it and I was going thru all the parts that came with it, I came across a part that the package said China! I called and they said that all parts were made in the USA which my husband and myself both knew was not true. They said we could pay to send it back and they would see what they could do. I did that and did not hear from anyone so I called and they said they did receive it and would get back with me with in an hour about a refund, which, of course, they did not. I called and emailed several times and today they finally emailed me again and said that none of the parts were made in China! I did not make that up it was clearly written on the package.
I guess we are just out the money for the phone and the cost of sending it back!
I would not trust this company! We are in our 70's and feel we have been taken advantage of. How many others are out there like us?

Rented Iridium go for long sail home on open water, did a 3 week rental and was charged up front for rental. Unit arrived in small pelican box but would not transmit any outbound calls or messages. Contacted support and was told it was a sim card problem that could be fixed with their provider and would be fixed in a day. Fast forward 8 days later and still not working, spent hour on phone with new support person when we found out it was still set for previous renter. As we sailed out for trip unit was reset and new accounts created and worked. Two weeks later we reached destination and repacked unit as we had received it in pelican box and put in fedex to return.

After checking on bill (I had a credit for a service they had charged for but was not provided of needed), I was told the unit had been submerged in water and damaged! I knew this was not true even more so the unit is a ruggedize unit that should not have a problem even it dropped in water. I asked how did they know that and was told because there were descant pouches in box so I must have been trying to dry it out. I pointed out they were in box when it came I just left them there. After 10 min call I was put on hold and call dropped. When I got my credit card bill they had charged and additional $779 dollars with not explanation.
Further call got no return calls. Protested thru credit card we will see what happens. Only thing I can say is find another vendor.

We needed cell service for one week for a hunting trip. I explained this to the sales person but somehow we ended up with a 12 month commitment.
With the early termination fee I paid over $400 for a service that didn't even work.
Do yourself a favor and go elswhere...

The company is a total fraud. Buy from competitors instead.

They tricked me into buying a device from them claiming it has an extra accessory never included in the package. Then sent me the dated device instead of new one and refused to send me warranty certificate despite my multiple requests.

Refused to cancel the order as well despite I have complete proof of cheating by their sales team.

Also they advertise false BGAN Flex pricing tiers for years. I thought it was a mistake a few years ago when started renting with them (never again after the fraud mentioned above!) and asked them to correct it on the website. They «agreed» by never corrected it.

Do not trust these people!
They sold incomplete equipment with no firewall. Then cleaned $******* out of my bank account BEFORE telling us the unit was not optimized. All subsequent contact has been dismissed or ignored.
They have made no effort whatsoever to resolve this, other than to demand $8400 more!
For 5 short phone calls, a few dozen emails and two web queries that couldn't load, this is in no way reasonable!

SO WHILE i AM ORDERING NEW ONE TO WORK IN MY AREA, I GET CHARGED FOR THE OLD ONE AND THE NEW ONE MONTHLY FEES! POOR SERVICE, UNETHICAL PEOPLE. I HAD ALSO ORDERED A DOCKING STATION. WOULD NOT WORK IN MY AREA, NEW IN BOX, RETURNED AND THEY SAID IT WAS ALL SCRATCHED UP, DEDUCTED OVER $100 FROM REFUND. THE ITEM HAD NEVER BEEN OUT OF THE BOX, SO IF IT WAS SCRATCHED UP THEY DID IT. DO NOT LISTEN THE GUYS PROMOTING THIS, THESE PEOPLE ARE RIP OFF ARTISTS!

I got the $109/mo plan (usa number, 150 minutes, rollover) and never used the phone as planned. At the end of 10 months, I elected to return the phone because I had never used it. The rep, Tyler, and billings, said return "the phone" and I would be able to cancel the contract without a newly revealed early termination penalty. Strike one. So I returned the phone, as well as the accessories with the phone (charger, cable, usb drive, etc in the original box) not thinking I was obligated to return them as neither Tyler nor the billing dept ever said anything. The billing department used terminology like "the unit," which was undefined. Strike two. After returning the phone and those accessories, I was told by Tyler I would continue to be charged unless I returned the SIM card. First I ever heard that I have to return the SIM card. Tyler was also very rude and unprofessional. Strike three. I returned the SIM card after digging in the trash and looking everywhere for it. This is by far the worst experience I have had with any vendor. I paid over $850 in monthly fees for the "free phone," and was spat at when miscommunicated to. I will avoid this vendor, this sales rep, and satellite phones in general in the future. What an incredible waste of money. Here's the SIM card, you jerks!

This company sent me a Phone with obsolete instructions and the phone stopped receiving text messages after six days I have been fighting with them for over a month to refund prepaid minutes and part of the rental charges. They are dishonest! Stay away

Spent $660 for a Sat-Fi2 and service agreement. My Android phone would not connect, so I sent both the Sat-Fi2 and my phone to tech support. They couldn't get it to work either and recommended I either upgrade my phone (especially to an iPhone) or upgrade my satellite device. I chose instead to return (ask them to keep) the device. They still charged a restocking fee so that I only received $505 back. Choose a different re-seller.

In messaging Satellite Sue via messaging on your site, I asked some questions about my previous quote I received, she indicated that it was expired, so I asked about sending me a new quote, which to my surprise was 200% higher, I told her I would have to shop around with other vendors as I could not see paying 3 times upfront. she mentioned something about amazon and their price. but that was her last message. I then asked her about if i bought a used unit what my costs would have been to activate it.. she never responded. So immediately started looking around your website and ON MY OWN with NO HELP FROM ANYONE I found my price i was looking for, so i sent her another message, saying I'm on your page and just added the IsatPhone 2 phone $ free , 100 minute plan $89.95, usa number $10 , roll over minutes $10 , damage insurance $10 = total $169.95

is that my total with with a new phone? please send me a new quote.

She never replied, how sad that with so many vendors available and Covid making companies shut down, your sales people are not going the extra mile to just simply helping customers that need help in selecting a product you sell.

Oh and by the way, as i type this message (1049 pm pacific time) Satellite Sue is still showing ONLINE on the messaging app on your website.

This was with the Miami store
This was with the Miami store, purchased an iridium go after the salesman assured me the poor reviews were from old outdated models. Once purchased with the super sim, so I would have a local number to avoid expensive phone charges. The unit was never able to received calls or texts from any number with an area code beginning with 9 or 3. Support spent days trying and I was told iridium would contact me within 24 hours. Which they never did. The day I am due to leave for a transatlantic crossing I tried to return the unit since it was not doing what I paid for, this was after 5 days of working with them to get it operating, the told me to use another SIM card for no extra charge. Well this resulted in an extra $275 charges to my cell phone bill for calls billed at $15 per minute. The phone service was horrible, we were charged for many calls that never went through. Sat phone store does not stand behind their products.
