I have been ordering my weekly shop using click and collect at Rayleigh weir very early on Saturday mornings. The two gentleman that work there deserve a mention. Especially a gentleman called Jon who is full of happiness and so helpful. He is great with people and goes above and beyond to make everyone smile while also very efficient. He remembers customers names and makes us feel special. Great job Pauline Nash

Purchased 'taste the difference beef burgers' which were flavourless and full of gristle. This adds to my consternation about Sainsburys in general. I can only go on the local store in Clitheroe which has empty shelves and indifferent staff with the exception of one hard working and committed gentleman. We have 5 supermarkets & this is by far the worse. No wonder many of us are now gravitating to Booths!

Sainsbury's supermarket has worst customers service staff
They know nothing at all.
Useless staff needs more training.
I asked where is my order which was supposed to be delivered yesterday. This morning I called and was lied to me that I would be delivered this evening.
Theu stole my money but did not deliver. Sainsbury's is a thief. Taking advantage of a vulnerable person like me.

Completely disgusted with Sainsbury's customers support team

I have been a loyal customer of Sainsbury's and Argos for many years now, spending more than £7 thousand each year at their shops and petrol stations. I do all my weekly and fuel shops with them and regularly shop during the week too for up to 4-5 times per week. I was completely disappointed today with their customer support team as they wouldn't help me cancel an unfair parking charge for £60 at one of their car parks! My family and I will never again spend a penny in their shops and petrol stations! It's not about the £60 penalty but their complete disregard of regular customers loyalty! Better avoid!

"I'm reaching out with a heavy heart to share my recent experience. I ordered garlic online, but what arrived was mouldy and inedible, consisting of only dry layers, which left me utterly disappointed. What truly troubles me isn't the nominal cost, but the way I, a disabled woman, was treated during my attempt to voice my concern. The response was far from compassionate.

I don't seek a mere refund; my real need is the garlic itself. I've planned for tomorrow, when my caregiver will prepare meals that will sustain me for a week. As a housebound individual, I rely on deliveries for essentials like this, and I can't make a trip to buy garlic.

To make matters worse, the person I spoke to on the phone when I tried to explain my situation was shockingly rude and refused to provide their name. This treatment is deeply hurtful, especially considering my circumstances.

I kindly request your understanding and assistance in not just refunding my money, but in ensuring I receive the garlic I need for tomorrow. Your empathy in resolving this matter would mean the world to me, as I face the challenge of being disabled and housebound.

Used their stock checker and it turned out to be untrue. Phoned customer care, complaints dept and a few other numbers and got nowhere. Also filled in 4 or 5 surveys for after calls and heard nothing. Have been treat dismally as no one has dealt with the problem or offered any kind of satisfactory outcome.

Sainsbury's is a typical big business that makes it virtually impossible to submit a complaint. Go online and try to find a way of doing so! It is not only do they NOT care about customers, they probably derive pleasure in frustrating them. I wanted to leave a complaint about very poor packaging of one of their products but was (most frustrating and annoying me) unable to do so. Their systems are shortsighted as such annoyance forces customers to go online (& instead of just submitting the complaints to them directly) and leave complaints and bad reviews on platforms like Sitejabber. Additionally, it forces customers to go to their competitors that are both better at customer service and better priced (which is not difficult). Really stupid!

Go to Lidl or Tesco

Probably the worst customer service I have ever had. This company including the CEO Simon Roberts could not care less about 2 88 year olds being defrauded on Sainsbury's premises. I was told "what do you want us to do about it" and "it's nothing to do with us". How shameful that they think it doesn't matter when the vulnerable are scammed in a Sainsbury's store.

Now they are so arrogant that they refuse to reply to me - utterly disgraceful!

Ordered sainsburys order yesterday. An hour before delivery tried to log into my account to see where delivery was and it said i entered the wrong password too many times. Then got an email saying my order was cancelled. After a short and abrupt phone call was told my order was not coming because my account is under investigation. I payed using my card in my name to my address what fraud can i be committing? No shopping= going somewhere else from now on!

This company does not understand the meaning of Customer Service. It is the worst of any supermarket. Poor quality produce and products and misleading information when one can eventually find a phone number to call. How did CEO land his job? He clearly does not shop at Sainsbury!

Racially profiled by security guards, harassed, verbally abused, and physically threatened... what did Sainsbury's do... nothing. 10 months later after public pressure, they are now conducting an investigation... avoid!

there is racial profiling in the brixton store on 425 brixton road and maybe others as well. be careful.

I ordered and paid for cup cakes for my granddaughters 2nd birthday we arranged a time to pick up, I received an email saying your cakes are ready to pick up.well the staff in shop was very embarrassed to say tge order was not there.
We we were having the party that morning and could get last minute replacements.
I rang customer service their people skills are terrible I could hear a dog barking in the back round trying to have a conversation and she was not one bit sympathetic.
Oh my goodness I was outraged, so Sainsbury's you are an utter disgrace and need to stop doing food, flowers because your total pants at delivering goods, And I want my money back I've had no refund yet get it sorted you were fast enough to take it PS I only give 1star should of had piles of you would of got 20+ of those

I was trying to order some items for collection but the website kept on directing me to a delivery slot even after confirming a collection slot. Who designed this web site needs to go back to year 1 at school and learn how to design a user friendly website. Why the homeware goods are limited to a particular store and not a separate national online shop like, say next for example, and keep food and homeware separate.

We voted with our feet today and ordered online from Tesco instead - Sainsbury's have no customer service, rude telephone agents (one of whom told me to shut up when I complained of mouldy food and ridiculous substitutions). They refused to refund my credit card charge I'd incurred for goods never order but delivered in multiples (!) and said if I'm not happy with substitutions (I shop for elderly neighbours) I should wake them up at 6am on a Sunday to check they're OK with substitutions. Seriously? Avoid them folks - they're vile profiteers who couldn't care less about wasting our hard-earned money.

My online order was never delivered. They never reached out. When I called, they finally admitting that the order was never delivered and they would issue the refund within 5 to 10 working days. The refund never arrived, so I called again. After several phone calls where they hung up on me or put on hold for hours, I managed to open a second case, once again they told me the store manager would contact me to apologise and confirm the refund, it never happened. I disputed the transaction with my bank and the supermarket rejected my query saying that the order was delivered. I am currently on hold, over 65 minutes waiting to be transferred to the complaint department. Really poor customer service, trying to get money for orders that have never been delivered. I am shocked.

Sainsburys at Mere Green... Wednesday morning... filled trolley with shopping and moved to check out.
Many long queues to TWO checkout operators. Hard to imagine but 15mins later still waiting to pay.
The wait provided some entertainment as we watched our frozen food start to thaw.
The many queues now became two and still we waited.
I asked a member of staff "Is this the best you can do"
She said " I have told them but they just walk off"

Sainsburys are advertising... we price match with Aldii

I am saying... customer sevice match with Aldi.

I will not shop at sainsburys ever again. They don't want customers.

Cancelled my food delivery 1 hour before the scheduled time! This is ridiculous, as I am self-isolation and cannot go to the physical store. The next available delivery slots are few days away. What am I suppose to eat until then? On top of that, I used my 2 GBP coupon for the order, which I did not get back after the delivery cancelation! They did not even offered a new slot, instead they told me to reorder each item again because they cannot see my order details. Easily, 1 star review.

Ripping off a dead bloke! Poor show Sainsburys!
My 94 year old father in law died of cancer on Tuesday. Sainsburys had happily cancelled his delivery pass bought at the end of November 2021, when contacted on 11 March after he'd been moved to care. They said they'd issue a refund for the unused portion, in line with their guarantee that no delivery pass customer will lose out if they don't realise the full value of their annual pass. Now, and having not issued any refund, they categorically refuse to issue a refund OR to reinstate the pass (so we can either use it ourselves or so it runs to the end of its term and they have to refund the unused charge. Incredibly callous customer 'service' - and all so they can screw his estate out of around 40 quid. If they're that hard up then they're in serious danger of bankruptcy. Truly the pits of the UK grocery industry. (We and the rest of our family moving to Ocado on basis of their attitude and this experience.

Don't think that buying online will be quicker safer or easier - we shopped online and out of the shopping 10 items were swapped for things we didn't order!
Not only that but one chicken curried ready to cook pack was already out of date by one day!
We got Guinness instead of cider. Dark chocolate kitkat instead of milk chocolate the list went on
It is ridiculous to think that items we ordered were not available and if not the brand we wanted then at least swap cider for cider!
It's a rubbish service but most of all delivering out of date chicken is unforgivable unless they want to kill off their customers
We went into our local store in N21 and they said we should call head office
We did but that was nearly a week ago and not a word - they clearly do not care
Our advice is not to use online delivery services unless you want stuff you didn't order and a good dose of salmonella!

Extremely disappointing exchange with your CEO office. Rude, dismissive and accountable to no one. You drove into my property, tried to cover it up, left it unsafe and only acknowledged fault when spotted by a member of the public. Now not interested in resolving.

I would give zero if i could. Customer service nasty and not helpful, in other word they just don't give damn for anything. You order home delivery and getting nothing of what you ordered, you order click and collect and still getting nothing, and you will get email only on the day of collection when you made plans and dedicated time for this. Don't see point of pre-orders if you are not getting anything and idea that they collect it from the shelf on the day of collection. Well i can do shopping then myself or ask friends or family, why should i pay for that? Absolutely horrible service. They are just pice of joke and to be honest they are not so cheap either

Please please what has happened to the soft tissues like sand paper now. Charging more money for bad product the code *******622 l purchased 10 boxes of these for my husband he needs tissues to be soft as he uses them on his neck stoma l will be in touch with the ombudsman.

I am not often moved to make a fuss but I find myself in a chain reaction of increasing disappointment and despair.
We did a family shop online on Friday 16 July, nothing unusual there. However a portion of the shop included items for a vegan consumer…. Not always the easiest of tasks.
Imagine my surprise then when I notice an email from Sainsbury's telling me that a vegan ready meal I had purchased actually contained milk, beef and pork…. Not very vegan at all.
I wanted to raise my concern and disappointment to this so I replied to the email and waited several days for some sort of reaction.
There was none so this raised my level of displeasure.
I looked at the email again and decided it was not an address that would be monitored…. Another notch of annoyance…. In this day and age who would send out quite an important email that you cannot reply to?
So I go to google and find a customer services email address…. I'm really quite angry now that something that was not of my doing was causing me so much grief.
Imagine my reaction when I get an automated response telling that Sainsbury's have stopped doing customer service…. By email anyway, totally ridiculous! Another notch up on the Mr Angry scale.
As a last resort I phone the number provided on the email, something I really did not want to do. After an irritating navigation of inappropriate options I end up talking to someone in South Africa, not ideal.
Is my issue with an order…. No

I just want an email address to write to please.
Back on hold while the operative consults a higher authority…. I'm sorry we don't have an email address…. You must be joking…. Another notch up on the dissatisfaction meter.
Can I speak to your supervisor please? No sorry they are all in a meeting. Who have you just spoken to then? No satisfactory answer. By this point I am absolutely furious and the issue is now much more than a concern about a non vegan vegan meal.
Sainsbury's what on earth are you doing? I have been a loyal customer of yours for many years and use more than just your retail services.
This experience has left me questioning my judgment in doing this and if I do not get some satisfaction from you regarding these escalating matters I will be seriously rethinking whether I want to continue my several relationships with you.

Absolutely shocking. Missing items from delivery and use by dates of the same day or next - tried to get refund. Took 2 hours and 5 calls - still no money back. AVOID.

Tip for consumers:
Never use Sainsbury’s online. From deliveries cancelled just before they’re meant to arrive to one-chance security questions before you lose your order and now missing items that you can’t get a refund for.

Being let down by Sainsbury's online deliveries My delivery was supposed to be come before between 9 and 10 pm the delivery driver called me on my intercom at home asking me if I had a lift do you need tow story building I said no he said okay I cannot deliver I'm going I've had over 45 deliveries to my home could not see why they could not deliver to my home when it's completely safe and I've had 45 deliveries before tried to call customer service at Sainsbury's they were no help at all they said any driver can choose not to deliver to Sainsbury's customers all I can see is this driver was being completely lazy when I've had 45 deliveries that have been completely okay so I complained to Sainsbury's see you Sainsbury's customer service Twitter and Facebook Totally let down by them I don't know if I will never shop with them again I'm self isolating at home so I have no other way of getting food to myself I live on my own how can a big company treat a valuable customers like this does anybody really care
