I had the same trip frm Toronto to Quebec few yrs ago but this time we had an excellent experience. Sandy, our tour guide was the best in all aspect. I highly recommend Safeway Tours to anyone planning to take the bus tour. Very professional staff, good choices of hotels & restaurant. Very clean & comfortable bus. First time ordering, will be the last time ordering they pick the worst food. Charges the most money. Don't apply any coupons discounts or the rewards card. Highly disappointed in this service. If you want to get little food for no money order from Safeway. Maybe it's a good idea for Fred Meyers is going to buy them out. Received no receipts. Received substitutions that I cannot eat because I'm diabetic. Was not even given the courtesy to ask if a substitution was okay. Ordered over 70 items and all of them were either out of stock or they substituted it. I will make sure and tell everyone do not order from Safeway. Highly disappointed long-term loyal Safeway customer

This was the first time using a Safeway app to do a home delivery. Was not given a physical receipt was not given the proper food. Called customer service and was told they had no record of our order. Will not ever order from Safeway again

I stopped at Safeway to purchase some fried chicken they had on sale for dinner. There were over 9 deli, A couple right by the order area, 3 workers standing in corner gossiping. They refuse to wait on customers. This happens all the time. I was the only customer there and they look at you like you are invisible. WORST SERVICE EVER.
What a joke. They put items on sale then don't have them in stock, drove to this location yesterday and was told by the guys in the meat department that they would have new stock today so that I may be able to get the sale, came in today and guess what? No stock... waisted a trip for a misleading employee. The worst part is they won't do rain checks, or any substitutions... customer service has definitely went downhill. Could not recommend this location. Maybe try Fred Meyers I'm sure they're more friendly..

I put the few groceries I grabbed back on the shelf because there was only one register open with a huge lineup... rude, the self checkout had as big a line so even when half the shoppers do it themselves it's still pathetic, and again, rude. This experience helped me find a smaller produce shop, they're great and believe in service not just $$$$.
I ordered my food delivery on 3/9/24. is 3/11/24 and I still haven't received my order! I have spoken to customer service, called the store directly and left a message for the district manager, Beverly Gendolfo, and still nothing. 5 minutes ago I spoke to the online order representative from the Almaden Safeway and the gentleman told me "we don't have it ready but we can set-up a delivery for tomorrow". Now he says he can door dash it to me. This isn't the first time orders have been late by hours or even days! If you ask for a refund they don't give it to you for 7 days, yet the money was taken out of my account promptly on 3/9/24. Why use this service of it doesn't give you service. Why call customer service if they can give you no help. Why place an order and set a delivery time that fits into your schedule if they can change it to when it's convenient for them. Why use this delivery service at all?
I worked for this safeway, and it was god-awful. I was always yelled at and never got help. I was never allowed to use the bathroom, and I was harped at by Charlotte and put down by Rodger. I had to do everything by myself, and I even got yelled at even after they fired me. Even some of the workers are god awful and mean

3/2/24 we went to find out why our auto fill prescriptions were all back to call in instead of auto. She told us we had never set it up and our phone wasn't set up (4 mos it went fine then just stopped). She kept saying "I don't know what your asking". My spouse said I guess I will have to go elsewhere and she said, "ok, not a problem". We have shopped at Safeway for years and I know we will go elsewhere now. This is not the 1st time this female pharmacist has been rude. Maybe when the store loses enough customers they will understand it is the very people they are being rude to that are the reason they have jobs!
They were running their special for Christmas this year, 2023. Rib-Eye roasts for $4.77.
For the FOURTH YEAR IN A ROW, I had to stand in line at customer service for 1/2 hour to get it at the correct price. They made all sorts of excuses that I didn't clip the digital coupon, or I didn't pick the right store or their app said I wanted delivery. I did pick the coupon, I did not want it for delivery and none of that should matter if the advertisement is for their statewide promotion price, which it is.
Every year I have to have them ring up the prime rib roast last to see if I get the advertised price and every year I don't.
I know most people don't get this bad about it, so I figure if they hit me for $75 this year and tried $120 last year. God knows how many thousands of dollars they are scaming from my city alone, let alone millions from the people in my state.

I tell everyone to make sure any large purchase from them. is rung up last, so you can make sure you get your discounts.
Bill, Teresa and Ally are literally the worst. They are in a 3ring circus there at Safeway store. You complain and they never send in the complaints on another member of their team so they keep staying at the top. These three people treat other staff and customers like they are utter trash I've had it happen to me too many times to count and now the store is stealing money from y'all. Check your sales and receipts make sure you're getting the right prices.

Safeway's regular prices are very high and stores are routinely out of stock of advertised specials. Safeway's website is slow to load, forces you to sign in repeatedly, and its rewards program isn't functioning. If Safeway is allowed to merge with Kroger, a bad situation will get worse, especially in markets like Denver where the two companies control most of the market. I complained that I couldn't browse my local ad and was told I'd be e-mailed when the problem was resolved; I never got that e-mail and a week later, my rewards account has been deactivated. I can't reset my password or establish a new account due to "technical problems". Very, very poor!
Where to start? Prices exceed reasonable inflationary increases. The so-called Safeway app is worthless. Clumsy and difficult to use. Wastes time and is frustrating. Shelves have empty gaps which has continued post Covid. Pharmacy doesn't tell customers when an app like GoodRx will significantly reduce cost even with government plans. They'll disclose that but not without asking. Not focused on customers. Almost anywhere else would be better than Safeway.

The app requires photo of so-called “sales”. This is sent to checkout. Completely unnecessary, expensive in time and effort for customer, and user unfriendly. Disgrace
The safeway on Capitol Hill DC was renovated a few years ago. When you walk in the store it looks big, shiny and full of produce. However there is frequently trash strewn on the ground out front. No cards available for use. No employees on the floor for assistance. No one ever behind the seafood counter. And on weekends frequently only 2 lines open with unfriendly cashiers.long long wait times. Attempts to reach management via online, corporate headquarters you get no response. There is NO voice mail available for store manager. Requests to have call back are unmet. As a customer you would be best to stick with Harris Teeter, Giant, Aldi, Whole Foods.

Representative are not helpful at all. Anoing and dismissive attitude. Phone calls are constantly disconnected by representative because they don't want you to leave at the end of the phone call bed servey. Not a good English. The company who is hiring them to hendel there clients complaints are paying for one big nothing as a service.

The Safeway app is poorly designed. It is difficult to load, locate, and edit discounts I have loaded onto my app. Why can't I delete old "For U" discounts and why can't I have all loaded discounts in my digital grocery cart? The poor design feels like it is purposely confusing and make me want to shop at a big box without all the confusing discounts.
You think you're buying a product that might be somewhat good for you on the scale of natural and healthy, you read the ingredients and realize that it's not just peanuts with a little tiny bit of salt the dry roasted peanuts have sugar in them. Why? I was disappointed in flavor and they gave me an upset tummy.

I would urge Albertson/Safeway to take the sugar out of peanuts when manufacturing them. They boast about not having high fructose corn syrup well why do you have sugar in peanuts?

Bought Pepperidge Farm Pastry Puff Sheets frozen products 2 weeks ago, frozen it 15min later at home and defrost it Friday (back it the fridge), planning to bake today Sunday.
Totally moldy sheets when I opened the product.
Discusting and lost my confidence in safeway quality, ability to maintain the chain of cold and this product for sure.

Stopped in at Safeway to get some wings however their fryer was acting up, so the wing station was not open nor going to be for the rest of the day, bummer. So, I got some Potatoe salad and chicken tenders and breasts. The person behind the chicken counter spoke so low I did not hear what she was saying, so my order was not as large as it could have been. Took my items up to the check-out stand and got Crystal who maybe was having a bad day. I didn't get to use my discount by inputting my phone number because Crystal could not seem to get it to work, nor did she care to try to fix it just "oh well" "to bad" "so sad". So, I will probably go back but not anytime soon and will be sure to watch out that I don't get CRYSTAL as a cashier.
Safeway now puts signs out showing the special price in big letters, and then put "digital coupon only" in tiny letters. This seems purposely deceptive and sucks! Tired of buying something because of good price and then getting home and finding out I paid twice as much. Safeway, you just lost a long time customer.

Quit gouging shoppers with your high prices. No one eats your food because it's like dumpster diving. Safeway's food has always been terrible yet they continue to gouge shoppers. They are disgusting. Shop anywhere but here. Teach them a lesson by us hopping in better stores or ordering your food online. This has nothing to do with inflation and everything to do with a greedy corporation gouging shoppers. The nerve to charge these exorbitant prices for food that could be found in the dumpster. I only shopped here for cheap I can food but now they've raised the prices on that. What a greedy nasty company.

I'm getting tired of seeing store ads from Safeway regarding products that are supposed to be on sale. This week its the split chicken breasts(at the great price of 97 cents). Unfortunately, you go to the store and guess what, no split chicken breasts. Then, you find out that the store doesn't give rain checks on meat anymore. So why the ad? The manager says good luck with that. We rarely see any supply. It almost seems as though this is some form of gimmick and misrepresenation to get customers to flock to the store only to find no product.
So much to say...I used to be a daily shopper at Safeway. Even tho they manipulate their prices daily and play a 'shell-game' with how they present themselves to the public as a responsible grocer. They are anything but.I was checking out and using my digital app for some coffee. It showed a discount, but not what was advertised in the isle. I brought this to their attention and the guy said it was my fault. After proving his ignorance, he proceeded to tell me that it was Safeway's faulty APP. It too, was an absolute lie. Safeway is rigged with deceptive business practice, that if you continue to shop there, you'll need to scrutinize every item rung through their corrupt system. There's plenty more to post with regard to their BS tactics, but more that I care to put the effort in mentioning.
This insurance is waist of money and health( nerves). It will take you at list a month to get you car done, and these in case you have time to email and call them every day non stop, anyway nobody answers. The worst experience ever, they treat everyone like p of s…this what the mechanic told me, where my car was fixed. They don't work with big dealerships like "Hunday" for example, but will not inform you about this, just small mechanic shops, be careful and read the policy, even if they will tell you to do the car where you please, like I said it's miscommunication, nobody answers your calls, just a few text messages that seems to be written by robots. Just be aware and better to not have any affair with them.
Even spending ab average of an extra 5 -10 minutes in line to review purchases they still find ways to overcharge us. How about $24 for a head of kale? We do our homework., come prepared with an electronic list and even grab a paper ad to make sure of prices. Still get overcharged! Even then customer services in the PHILLIPINES do not actually make the refunds they promise over the phone. If you shop SAFEWAY DO YOUR HOMEWORK AND BE PREPARED TO BATTLE IT OUT TO AVOID BEING GROSSLY OVERCHARGED.
Safeway refused to honor a coupon that was clipped and cell phone not available to prove. Most of their sales have crazy stipulations. Their app never works. Their CSRS are unhelpful. Here is photo of refused clipped coupon.
