Top Critical Review

“Horrible experience overall, especially with finance”

Janice B.
10/5/22

After it was all said and done, we put down 12k in cash, financed our travel trailer, found out after they almost forced us to get the extras as far as warrenty programs, they added an environment charge of 2999, plus 950 for gap, tires and wheel protection for 814,3236 vehicle service contract, that was an extra 8K, so much for our deposit. When I called them out on it, they said the environmental charge was not going to be canceled because it was not within the 30 days, I said, OH HELL NO... and asked if I need to get an attorney, so far they agreed to cancel all extra $#*! because it was NEVER used.

I would put zero stars if possible. They had my trailer from January 12 through May 30th - charged us over 9thousand dollars and the trailer now is in worse shape than it was before they got it.

Here I sit in my RV just picked up from dealership.

I'm a little lost for words but I'll try to keep it together.

For over 100 ( 138 to be exact!) days and over $9000 later I'm sitting in filth.

For the work they did I can't tell you at all it's embarrassing but for what they did nobody cleaned up after themselves. I'm sitting on my couch that's filthy the floor is gritty the shower stall is full of debris that they left from work.

2 weeks ago I wanted to pick it up and he said no I had a couple things to do and clean.

I gave them the latest I would like to pick it up so it would be done picked it up on Friday living in it on Saturday, WHAT A MISTAKE.

BOB LIED STRAIGHT TO MY FACE.

HE ACTUALLY WANTED TO CHARGE ME PARTIAL TO CLEAN UP.

NEVER AGAIN, VERY UNORGANIZED, LIARS.

I'M NOT DONE I'LL BE BACK. I GUESS I SHOULD START CLEANING MY OWN HOUSE TRAILER UP AFTER ALL THE CONSTRUCTION

AND I WAS GOING FOR THE $750 CLEAN UP THAT I WANTED. NOTHING WTF
We've sent emails and called but have gotten no satisfaction. NONE
ALSO INTERESTING TO NOTE THAT MANY OF THE THINGS THEY 'FIXED' STILL DON'T WORK! Several lights that they repaired or replaces still do not work - over head smart fan in bathroom replaced still not working - installed a $1200 antenna that doesn't work - may not have power - is hanging from the ceiling by one wire! WE LOVED this trailer before!
Buyer be ware!

These people are the shadiest dealership you will ever find. They will reel you in like a fish, telling you what you want to hear, and once they get your money they forget your name. They flat out lied to me about the condition of the RV. After presenting me with a green checklist indicating that there was a check of all the appliances, once I started to investigate and learn how things operate I find that the furnace, water heater and fridge DO NOT WORK on propane. That has been verified by another RV dealer's repair shop. I will be fining a claim with the BBB in a few days, once I gather my evidence and make copies of everything. Their callous and blatant attitude toward this situation leaves me with no choice. There are other things wrong, and when I pointed them out, the salesman said "Oh, we don't fix that." So, I need to have the windshield defroster motor checked on my dime.

This is truly a horrible business. Do your research and read all the reviews that are 1 star, noting how many say they wish they could leave 1 star. I left a 1 star review on another system, and the salesman texted me within 5 minutes, threatening me that I "better take that review down like 5 minute sago" and that "this is not over". Well, you are correct on that point. It is NOT over. It will not be over until you fix everything on the RV and the BBB fines you a lot of money. And just as a little bonus for me, I want that salesman terminated, and I will continue to take this up through the courts until he is terminated.

Beware of Camping World.

Today, 10/19/17, My husband and I went to Campingworld because I really wanted to purchase the M33 Mallard Travel Trailer. Well, when we were there previously, the finance manager gave my husband a piece of paper with the numbers that he supposedly ran and the numbers were off. My husband decided to leave because they were closing and I was still healing from surgery. So, we went back today to take pictures of the papers that were listed in the trailers to show them that their numbers were off by $2000 and that giving my husband a supposed $500 military discount only to add on $499 was really only giving him a $1 discount and that was insulting in itself. My husband went in to speak with them first about the numbers. When they kept giving him the run around like their numbers were right I walked back in to explain to them exactly what was wrong. First of all, the associate Luke walked out with who we thought was the finance guy but was actually the manager, Kevin. The manager shook my husband hand totally disregarded me. My husband had to introduce me in order for him to acknowledge me. I do not know if it was because I was black or a woman, but it was very obvious that he had a problem speaking with me. Then it only got worse. He told my husband that he didn't care what the paper said in the camper that the amount that they set to sell it was the amount they chose. See I intervened because we were standing in the middle of the showroom with people watching and he was talking as loud as he could. I stopped him and asked him to lower his voice and talk to us and not everyone in the showroom. Why are we standing in the middle of the showroom talking about money? Then I proceed to tell him that he incorrectly priced the trailer for 42,459 as the beginning price instead of the $40,959 which was listed in the trailer. So, he said that it is MSRP, that is what the manufacturer thinks that it is worth. I asked him if they overprice all of their travel trailers because I have never known anyone to sell something for OVER the MSRP price, especially when you are using that as a starting point in a 25% off sale. Also, if they did not go by it then why would they advertise the $40,959 price inside the trailers? He proceeded to be disrespectful to me and say that he does not care what the price said in the camper. Like I told him, my husband only came back because he knew that I loved the M33 so he wanted to work with them to get it. We just wanted to be treated right and fair. We were not asking for a handout, just for him to look at the numbers and if he would have he would have seen that we had the correct down payment for what was advertised. We will NEVER shop at Campingworld again and I will make sure to spread the word throughout the military community!

Tip for consumers:
Don't spend your money where you are not appreciated.
