I Just had a terrible experience at Rumbo, a lastminute.com company. I made a booking with Rumbo, than few minutes after i received a text message from my bank saying that it was charged, so i thought, "Right, everything its fine"... so i thought... Well after the bank charge, i received an email from them saying that my reservation was not confirmed yet, to wait before booking with someone else... ok, 3 hours later no confirmation i called them. They said that my reservation was still being processed, to wait, that probably at the end of the day they would reply. They also said that as per their terms and conditions, they had until 24 hours before the flight to confirm... this is already quite annoying, as who will find a cheap flight so late and maybe who will even find a flight?... but anyway, i waited as they already charged me... So they never confirmed it... next day i called them, after a few minutes on the phone, the customer services lady said that my reservation was cancelled because it was not available on the price i have booked, so i asked her "What is the solution?" and she replied, "The reservation was already cancelled by the supervisor/manager, so there is nothing i can do for you sir"... well, she was very polite, she apologised a few times and tried not to escalate the situation, so kudos to her, but this thing of taking a day to confirm/cancel a reservation, after taking the payment its ridiculous. This reply of "not available on the price i paid" its a lie, as other comparison sites were offering very similar prices, like edreams and cheapflights.com offering virtually the same price, even expedia.com had prices like 5 euros more per passenger on the same time i booked with them. They should definitely had replied straight way with a solution, or at least letting me try to book with someone else, not leave it for last minute, cancelling my reservation. Basically they took my money, 24 hours before the flight(after i chased them 2 times) cancelled my reservation, giving me the middle finger, and saying that can take many days to refund the money... what? Is this really happening? I still dont believe on what is going on... I understand that could have been a delay between the time i made the reservation and the time they tried to book with with the flight company, but they should have told me straight way or offered me the same prices as i was 24 hours from my flight. I have paid for the reservation around 330 euros, when they cancelled it was around 400 euros. The difference in prices is not so big, so they could have contact me to try to sort out a solution, i was willing to pay more as i need to fly... so now they lost 330 euros from me and will have to deal with all the consequences of this review, as it is going to other online outlets.
After my cancellation i booked with Edreams, it took 20 minutes to confirm my flight on a fair price.
Until they up their game, i advise no one to book with them.
