I ordered the blacked out acrylic side markers for my Z06. The fit is terrible, I could of used a sharpie and coloured them in and they would of looked better. What a terrible I'll fitting product. I contacted RPI and Paul asked for pics which I sent to him. Never heard back from Paul or RPI. I followed up with 3 more emails and crickets. What crap customer service. Don't waste your money or time with this company and if this product is any indication of quality work stay clear.
This company is also Southern Car Parts, not sure why, likely due to all the negative reviews I wish i had read before ordering.
Orded a Torch Red console cushion, Ruby Red was shipped (Burgundy). Called, left a message, emailed, got a response saying my order # was not in their system. I scanned the copy of their packing list, with the order on it and have never heard from them since. Tried again today and will update if anything positive happens. Buyer Beware. Also charged me for Bose Gold speaker decals that never shipped. No answer on those, yet they show they have them on eBay (didn't order from eBay) I did order these from another reputable Corvette Parts dealer and received them in 3 days.
This customer service is honestly the worst. The lack of communication. I've been trying to get a hold of them for a week and they still have yet to respond to me. I try to cancel and order or ask where my product is and I get nothing from them. Go else where with your business as they don't add clarity to their business model.
DO NOT do business with this company. They charged my card for MORE than the actual receipt price and only shipped 1 item of the 4 that I ordered. It's now been over 5 months and they have not shipped the other items. They never answer the phone nor do they return messages, emails, or DM's. They should NOT be in business.
Ordered some C8 Fold up Chairs Dec 11th as a Christmas gift. Contacted them first a few days later to check on status. Left message, no return call. Few days later tried again, no return call. Now we're two weeks after Christmas and I tried again. YOU GUESSED IT, no answer. I think this place may be a scam, they sure charged my Credit Card quickly.
Lloyd mats are what I found to be the best quality in recent years, so I got a set for my C8 from RPI. I like the mats, they are very nice, the only thing I can say, they were made to order and took about one week to arrive, I don't think that is too bad, but I was hoping to have them in just a few days. Looking back I see they are made to order from Lloyd Mats. Overall, I'm happy.
Im writing this because of the great customer service and products I received from RPI Designs.
Took me forever to get my car from GM but the parts I ordered came in a timely manner.
Ordered front splitter and side rockers. GM wanted way to much and RPI had them for a competitive price.
They told me up front of the lead time and they arrived before that date.
I have a lot more to by and RPI will be my first choice.
My contact person was Paul. He had great knowledge of the items and was very informative and upfront with me. Along with the customer service people when I called.

Purchased an item and wasn't complete when it arrived. I had moved so didn't use for a week. During move I misplaced receipt so I emailed. They asked for proof of purchase. I explained and stated my situation so would buy the parts I needed that they didn't send. Couldn't even get back to me with the issue. It took several emails just to get one reply. So I gave up and will probably report this awful company to the BBB as it seems I am not alone with poor customer care
The site said items ship within 24 hours on a business day, but it took week to ship it and a week to even answer any of my emails about it's shipping status. Like others have said, they are just a 3rd party vendor for the most part, who doesnt really care about customer service the same way as ordering directly from a parts company. That said, they are a legit company, but just be prepared to wait longer than average after ordering.
I ordered a waterfall for my corvette and I have sent multiple e-mails and left multiple voice mails with absolutely no response. After waiting 8 weeks I was finally able to get In touch with someone on the 28th of May and was told I would receive it the middle of June. After Not receiving the product I was finally able to talk with someone the end of June and was told it was in QC awaiting shipment. It has now been 3 weeks and still have not received it. Now I cannot get any response from Customer service or anyone to return my voice mails. Extremely poor customer service.
I placed an order 4 weeks ago. I have called customer service multiple times and left messages each time without one response. 2 weeks ago I reached someone in sales and was told my order shipped and would have in a few days. Still have not received my order. Asked to speak with a customer service rep and was told they could not connect me. Asked for a supervisor and was told there was only the owner. Asked to speak to the owner and was told no. Worse customer service I have seen in years. I would give the US Post Office a higher rating and their the worse.
I purchased a set of there Corvette Z816-1 splash guards. In there instructions they state that each set is fitted on a 2010 Corvette Grand Sport before they are shipped out. As you can see in the pictures they do not fit at all. The blue arrow show you where there is an 1/8" gap between the splash guard and the body. The white arrow show that the guard does not fit the contour of the body. I do not want to force the end up because I am only drilling through the plastic wheel well to hold the guard on. I wanted to send them back and have them try to fit them like they say they do, and have them sent back to me. They just said send them back at you expense. They just sell parts, they don't back them!
I ordered a C6 Spoiler, waited almost 2 months and website continued to have posted "being customer painter". Called and called, never an answer. Email and email, no response. Finally get a response that it was being shipped the next day. Finally, it arrives and it's a little piece of plastic, obviously NOT customer painted and NOT what I ordered. Was told I could return for refund. It's been 2 months, NO refund and NO response to phone calls. NEVER, EVER AGAIN!
Initially I was happy with this website. I ordered some accessories for my vehicle and one of the things (a speaker cover) kept falling off. I called and they sent me a replacement. I am now having problems with another accessory and called for help NUMEROUS times and no one answers the phone anymore, despite me calling during their listed business hours. I have even left several messages and no one ever returned my calls. VERY DISAPPOINTED as I previously spent a considerable amount of money with them and deserve better service.
My stainless steel engine cover kit came pretty quickly and looks really nice. I would give a full five review, but it took about a solid week to get... no too bad. I am happy with the results!
I had ordered a stripe kit for my 2018 Camaro and I had taken the kit to a licensed 3M installer and they said to ship this vinyl kit back as it's not the vinyl that 3M would even suggest for a vehicle.
So I shipped it back in its original sealed condition packaging.
RPI comes back with that the package was not in resaleable condition and that they then declined my request for a refund and kept their cheap vinyl stripe kit.
Then they tried to say that this choice was left to the manufacturer. Wrong as I ordered straight from RPI designs and the package was also sent to RPI designs.
So I'm disputing such with my bank.
So beware of this straight rip off company. Oh and check out their reviews on their own website. Not one single unhappy customer. Lol. Imagine that.
Placed two custom orders in early May. The first order was received 13 weeks later and the other 18 weeks later! Every time I inquired I was informed the order would go out within next few days which never happened. The first item I received was a custom painted plenum cover. The pictures posted on the web site are NOTHING like what I received. The paint coverage quality is terrible and doesn't truly match the actual car color. The paint blistered in a dozen spots after an initial 60 minute drive! Inexcusable! The custom painted billet caps look great but they don't all fit despite the fact I have the model make/year the web site says these will fit. This company does not care at all about customer service or product quality. I'm trying to get a refund but seriously doubt they will agree. Take my advice and DO NOT order anything from this company unless you want to throw away several hundred of your hard earned dollars for products that make your car look cheaper not better. SAD! I am also in the process of filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau since they claim they are "Accredited" by the BBB which is simply a joke.
I ordered a painted alternator cover from Paul; the order arrived 2.5 months later, NO painted alternator cover. Trying to get through with phone or having a phone call returned is nearly impossible---STAY AWAY--THEY SHIP FROM OTHER MANUFACTURERS AND ARE NOT ACCOUNTABLE. Simply asking for an email confirmation on a refund is apparently and possibly FAR beyond their capabilities.
I just bought a C3 Vette 6 weeks ago. I ordered a C3 Upper Shifter Boot from them and it is too big for the fit. Not even close. I asked to send back for refund and nothing but crickets. I did pay through PayPal so I inquired through them and RPI (should be RIP OFF) agreed to refund for returned product. They will not pay for shipping back. Their customer service is non existent. PLEASE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE FOR YOUR PARTS! I sure hope that I get my money back seeing I sent the part back and won't have anything to show for my $42. If I could give them a minus stars, I would.
UPDATE: Got my money refunded minus the $4.31 it cost me to send it back.
Had the worse experience of my life getting with RPI sent a front front splitter for my 2009 corvette back in July they do not get refund your parts
but if you give a bad review they tried to bribe me and offer me 150 dollars. In the end it was all a scam BBB HAS NOT 1 GOOD THING TO SAY ABOUT THIS COMPANY OR SOUTHERN CAR PARTS. LOOK AT THEIR REVIEWS. SO DONT GO THROUG WHAT I HAVE HAD YO GO THROUGH. SO A WORD OF ADVICE GO ELSE WHERE TO BUY PARTS
