Last Thursday the front brakes on my '99 Grand Am started making noise and I found the pads were worn out. I ordered a new set of pads and a pair of front rotors for it. They arrived Sunday afternoon! My neighbor helped me install them and everything fit and works great now. I have ordered from Rock Auto many times in the past and they ALWAYS come through with the right quality parts. Prices are incredibly low too.! They are awesome!
I was sent the wrong oil filter and request a return. They wanted: how many doors I had, what my transmission code was, how many speeds my transmission had, OE part numbers, part number for the part I received. Most of this information was provided in the return request. Joke of a company.

I order parts for my vehicle had it shipped to my mechanic, when it wasn't delivered - to the wrong address in the hood; after a long chase it was returned to rockauto - where my troubles began, My refund was never issued, i disputed the charge and the double charge to my account. With my dispute in action, the communication was bountiful, i was instructed to remove my dispute a refund would be issued in 4 business days. Silly me! I did as instructed, then promptly informed that since it was dispute there is a 60 day hold on all dispute! I forward the previous email, all communication ceased. I called the *******376 where the conveniently make it so that you cannot speak to anyone, pretend to accept a message. You can go down the roster and leave a message for all to no avail. You can report them to all the powers that be, but your money and time will be consumed in the proverbial black hole, the best thing to do, is buy from somewhere else. These crooks should be left alone. Prices look good, but you're gambling, when it goes wrong, you will pay. Choose someone else.
Shipping was supposed to be 3 to 5 days. I scheduled my alignment for a week later. Had to buy parts buy parts from the dealership and a week later get my parts. Will be my last order from rock auto
Been 11 days. Shipping hasn't updated in 8 days and they want me to wait another 4 days before I can do anything... No way to submit anything to RockAuto to do anything. Zero customer sales support, literally doesn't exist. I ordered parts to go with the part days later and I got that and a tool a few days later and got that. It's obvious the part isn't coming.

Ordered New master cylinder for my 91 grand marquis ordered a raybetos.
Well when the master cylinder showed up it was not what I ordered instead of getting a new raybetos master cylinder I got a car quest master cylinder with old part number. Car quest was sold to advance in 2014.
So beware they are selling old parts.
I am so tired of as I add items to my list the items I already had on my list suddenly come from a different warehouse its a blatant rip off! Ordering rotors and at the beginning there from warehouse B now I've ordered more rotors from them all the rotors are going to come from warehouse D but if I remove everything and just order parts for the second car the rotors are now coming from warehouse B again which was the original warehouse for the first car! They just do this to screw you out of more money for shipping by adding another warehouse! Just because you keep ordering more parts in the same order the items should not be suddenly be coming from a different warehouse! This is why i quit using Rock Auto before and I'll go back to using local auto parts stores because that way the paychecks are staying in my area!
Cheap Chinese parts, no customer service, you pay for their mistakes, used and new parts in the same box, might as well order from a 1 or 2 day online store. Will never use Rock Auto again, I will pay the higher price for a part
I have made several purchases from Rockauto and have never been displeased. They sell products that range from economy to similar oem quality - just depends on how much you want to spend. Their shipping is not super fast or usually free, but other than that I have always been pleased. I have used their return system twice with absolutely no issues and they resolved the returns extremely quick (though not free of shipping charge). You can be confident when purchasing from Rockauto.
Rockauto a absolute fraud! No contact to complain too. I made order and realized i put the wrong part. 7 lug instead of 6. Cleared the cart completely out and started over. Apparently rememberd and 7 lug parts anyway after placing order. Now it costing me 20 dollars a box to return for thier mistake. 2 for 2 i will never use again. They totally suck.

My last order, however, arrived two weeks later, shipped DHL, which DHL wasn't showing any info on their website for about 9 or 10 days. Even with lower prices, this company is not worth! I have seen the adds for Rock Auto over the years, so I decided to give them a try last year (2021). Over the course of a few months I purchased front brake pads, front and rear wheel bearing hub assemblies for my 2018 Dodge Journey Crossroad. I drive a lot however; none of these parts lasted a year. The front brake pads lasted 4 months before I had to replace them and my front rotors. The front wheel bearing assemblies were some off brand, so that's my fault. They lasted 5 and 7 months before I replaced them with CarQuest wheel bearing hub assemblies. The rear wheel hub assemblies lasted maybe 7-8 months before I had to replace them with Car Quest parts from Advances Auto Parts.
I read a lot of the poor reviews on the quality of parts from Rock Auto. I thought maybe it was an installation issue possibly. I have had the same two mechanics for 15 and over 30 years, so I know the work was done correctly. They collectively have over 80 years of experience.
I don't know If the parts are counterfeit or what. The front brake pads were Wagner supposedly which is a reputable company. My rear wheel hub assemblies were supposedly manufactured by Moog which is also a reputable wheel bearing company.
I personally will never buy parts from Rock Auto again. It just seems like the parts I ordered were cheap replicas.
Not able to contact any sort customer service for return process and the online process is confusing and does not explain the process well. Also returns are expensive and 100% at your cost. Not worth it.
On 3-28-2022 I purchased an EXACT FIT catalytic converter for my 2004 Subaru Outback. I didn't actually receive it until 4-7-2022. Due to the need for a lift to install the part I didn't actually find out that the EXACT FIT part didn't fit. It was close but not close enough. When I attempted to get a RMA I had no luck online and when I attempted to call customer service I found out that there isn't any. TACKY. Anyway the only reason that I'm giving them one star is that this review site requires it. I will never again buy anything from RockAuto.com
